Hi all, slow decluttering day here. 3 LDFPA, bedroom bin and lr bin. Union meeting was an extraordinary gm and was quite interesting and lasted quite a while.
@Squiffy glad I I made you smile. I think my main concern was that my trousers were being pulled off and I had a vision of myself frightening the neighbour standing there trouserless 😂. Yes the eating thing is tricky atm. Basically I have been grinding my teeth and the 2 furthest back on the top are now slightly loose, I just have to try to chew with teeth further forward so I don't keep moving them 😁. The bamboo is a clump former and is now about 2 foot wide after 20 years so not a massive problem but it does need to come out. I am going to keep trying to find a gardener but I will also try to remove a bit at a time myself, I can but try 😂.
For some reason I am again very tired so am heading to bed
Hugs to everyone who would like one

@sqwiffy - when children used to get the measles or chicken pox, mothers would bath them in water with oatmeal added. I wonder if oat milk in a bath or to spread on with a face flannel would help. We used cold tea water for itches and for sunburns when I was growing up.12

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday: woke up just before 10:00 & decided to get up. Very dull outside although the sun is supposed to be putting in an appearance & temperature is forecast to rise to 17°C with a low of 9°C. I have my first cuppa & will try to wake up properly 🤞 The promised sunshine never materialised & it has felt very chilly - I menu planned for the next few days then wrote a shopping list for DH & DSis.
All shopping put away. Spent more time clearing down my TV planner. Dinner was hm cottage pie with green beans. Wudupa.

@Squiffy... I'm so glad your DM has you and family helping her. My dad had terrible itching and was in a care home the last 6 months of his life and had to ask carers so didn't sometimes and said sometimes they were very rough putting cream on him ( he was profoundly deaf so communication was difficult esp with masks as covid as he lipreading on they were talking to him when creaming his back and he couldn't hear. He had zero cream but I think itching can be aggravated by some underlying illness including kidney problems.
Going to try and list a few things and may decide to give to cs.
Home made cottage pie sounds ideal for yesterday's chilly weather. Hoping some sun as also putting a wash on early.13 -
Quick check in - see I have 68 posts to read. I returned from a trip down South yesterday and kitchen fitter doing last bits although he should have finished last Monday. Horrendous journey last Monday 6.5 hours to do 2 hour trip - stuck on motorway in heat. Today I plan to order tiles for kitchen, sorting like with like in kitchen and deciding where to put things. Dil coming tomorrow to help out. I need to remember all the places I stashed stuff away. I can put two table up at the dining end and spread everything out. Walls need at least one more coat of pain, there are some bits of ceiling to patch and small amount of woodwork to paint.
Will catch up on everyone's news later.2025 Decluttering Campaign 517/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

We've tried cream, antihistimines, other tablets as well as all the usual things to have good sleep but nothing's working so far.
For DM - maybe just an aspirin? It works for me when I've got dry itchy skin that I would otherwise scratch raw. If it's one particular patch then chamomile tea applied directly. Just use the tea bag if it's a small bit or pour the tea on a face cloth and dab on.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I’ve caught up!
Helloooooooo lovely people I see everyone is chugging along. Best of wishes to those who are poorly, are looking after poorly people, are going through very tough times😘😘😘
I have been doing a work phased return and it has been good. Shattered as getting back into a routine is quite tiring but it won’t be long before I feel as though I’ve never been away!
There has been some decluttering so I will post figures this weekend.
Medically wise still having blood tests and BP readings and scans and arguments with drs receptionists and dr appointments…..🤔
Hubby is a bit better - I think it’s anxiety and stress. He is very laid back usually but has been coming back from work very wound up as one of the “managers” is being a right cow…..and the dr also has him having blood tests and scans and making appointments in the wrong order…..
Missed you all!

Another busy day in the garden. 5 bags of homemade compost spread over the finished border today. Found lots of old tubs that are cracking and need to go, but not out yet so not counting. The second border is so hard. I am struggling to dig it and get the weeds out. Moved the raspberry bushes today. Have given them loads of water so hope they survive. Grandsons apple tree has been repotted in HM compost. ( I am feeling very MSE) Each time I go into garden it throws up a load of new jobs but I will not be disheartened. Son and DIL coming next weekend so I have good incentive to keep going. I think the water butt is nearly empty so could do with some rain soon. We are having a debate about the garden furniture. DH says we need new but with a good clean and maybe a little paint I think it will do another year. The jury is out at the moment! I seem to remember the same conversation last year. 🤣

Hi all, quite a good day today. Had to make a trip to the bank which was relatively painless as there was no queue out the door this time 😁. Completed a frog that has been bugging me and got into my emails as the laptop was open, 700 deleted 😁. I did a session on trying to clear the bamboo, barely put a dent in it but it's a start. Finished sorting ln's hanging baskets finally and watered them and all the pots. The kitchen bin and kitchen recycling were emptied and the 4 vases of roses had started to go over so they were put in the garden waste bin. I had a couple of other things on my to do list that didn't get done but will have to be sorted tomorrow after the union meeting in the morning 😁.
@GrannyKate hope the kitchen fitter has finally finished and you are starting to feel more organised 😁
@Muddy_Walker glad the phased return to work is going well but remember to put yourself first, hugs. We all missed you too 😁
@Soontobeoap my garden is just the same, loads to sort out. I think it's the nature of the beast 😁
Right off to bed
