I think your friend is being very selfish Dizzycap keeping all that cuteness to herself
I'm happy save her from herself and take a couple off her hands, I'm sure his lordship wouldn't mind 🤨 and they could share his catflap 😁
volunteering day for me so all CDs and books were dropped off, I resisted taking the furry alarm clock with them after a 5.30am wake up head butt. No bag ever leaves the house without being searched when you have a cat, it was inspected again when I added the rest of the stuff!

Crazycatlady, you've got a lot going on right now. I agree that taking on a cat at this time will give you additional stress you don't need. There are always cats available for when things are easier in your life.I stayed with my DM while she went out to see Annie at the theatre with my three DSis's, my DD2, my DN1 and 2DGN's, which she enjoyed and only a few times when she lost concentration and started counting. Music is one thing that DM remembers the most. I was back overnight with my DM, then back home this afternoon. Did some mending on the sewing machine and cut out a top ready to sew. BlueJ94 - great yorkies.
Mrs SD - yes I had the day indoors.
We watched The Chosen season 2 episode 1 last night - I had struggled to find a link.
Going into town this afternoon. Mr F asked me when we were going out - I am more productive in the morning so we will venture out after our meal.
Daughter brought her old curtains here on Sunday to be put in SA recycling so I will take them round some time.
I plan to press some clothes and take photos for V this morning - then tackle some repairs.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Those Yorkshire Puddings are amazing @BlueJ94!
@sqwiffy - it is very sad that your mum has dementia but it is so lovely that she has devoted daughters who want her to still have enjoyable experiences and who put lots of effort in for her. I really need to get something cut out to sew as I am getting twitchy now! I don't enjoy tracing patterns or the cutting out stage unfortunately.
Apart from those Yorkshires making me terribly hungry, I enjoyed the most gorgeous dachshund pup photos and cat in a bag photo this morning. I had a lovely time seeing the family this weekend and with no effort from me, it was even more enjoyable. I slow cooked a lamb shoulder last night which we will have over the next couple of days.
A town trip for us today, with the minute amount of stuff on board that Mr MV was able to part with from his shed clearing, to go to the recycling centre whilst we are in town. I shall have a quick root through to see what I can add to it. I have filled my garden waste bin and all the recycling boxes completely so I hope that they will be collected this week too. The sun is with us for the first part of the day and with rain coming in later I had better get a wash on and hung out pronto!

They'd also be pouncing on his Lordships bag with him inside and be after his tail with delight
Be careful what you wish for
Personally, I wouldn't hesitate in having another 1 or 6

@ Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Yes, there were more but more importantly, they were all taken away in the postie van at 8.20 am this morning and I'll have another check late afternoon to see if any more need packingThe weather is absolutely beautiful this morning, so will be pottering about in the garden with babyface who is absolutely full of it this morning; helping me & postie load the van with parcels, before we go out for a short walk mid morning as she still has to rest
Off to load up on a mug of coffee before we start in the garden. @TC77, many thanks re:legal tadpoles, they are slippery little critters. Have to be done asap when it’s the last thing you want to do, but leaving them can be damaging. One incoming next month, but at least i am prepared to deal with this critter and turn it over quickly!@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I have an extremely rare condition (chances are a GP will never see it in their career) with delightful secondaries that have the occasional blip so have been on pain relief for years. But I have/had some great specialists and GPs in my time that have really gone the extra mile for me, mainly because I have been living to the mantra of,
’Life is not a rehearsal’ and me trying to live life to the full and more, with the work and sport that i do and me always saying, ‘I haven’t got time for this’ to the docs!
I’m known to cut deals! Years ago before an operation and being knocked out I asked to see my specialist for a quick word. He stuck his head through from the theatre and I said to him could he do a good job as i wanted to be discharged in time for the latest Bridget Jones film🤣.
The staff were mortified.
I had been with the specialist for a few years by this point and knew me well, we had some spectacular battles (he always won). While I didn’t get discharged, he did let me out on a day release with my bestie at the time to watch the film and is always the one specialist I will forever be grateful for really going above and beyond for me in order for me to live an active life. The pain physio is bec of being a very active wheelchair user, having shoulder surgery is not a priority or an option. I don’t want to be wheeling around in circles for 6 weeks and with needing major surgery this year it is all part of the prep aswell, it can tie in.
I’ve already cut a deal with the major surgery specialist by saying if you want me ready for Plan A, I need time, so summer would be great when I have time off. If we have to resort to Plan B then we are all in trouble so if we could schedule for summer I can be ready the best way I can for his Plan A. I was met with the response of I did know it was the NHS and I couldn’t pick and choose dates, and me saying but you need this from me for Plan A and the usual question of when can I get back to playing my sport. Surgery is scheduled for summer!
So trying to do as much as I can now with shoeboxes, decluttering, everything ready neutral item wise for Christmas , being ready for the kitchen being ripped out, in case it happens before surgery. Apart from
192) small tadpole of paperwork sent in the post
193) another item sold on V
i haven’t done much this bank holiday except tidy up and sort out and prep things for an upcoming shoebox hub drop off including completed shoeboxes which will make me very happy🙂Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hello all. Quick skim read of 66 posts. Living in chaos whilst the kitchen moves slowly. I'm hoping it will be ready for new units by Friday but there is just stuff everywhere. I'm trying to keep track of things but not doing well. Sox managed to upend his fountain and was very cross when I came back from shops. It is in lounge due to kitchen work but was fortunately on a waterproof door mat. Sorted out now. He has been allowed outside a bit over last few days. He was not pleased yesterday as I guess he had never encountered rain before and he came back in very fast.
420 Lots of papers sorted and filed or shredded
421 Kitchen units gone
422 Gas hob gone
423-424 Curtains and blinds gone from kitchen - not worth recycling
425 - Lots of chunks of rock strewn round garden put in skip
426 Flea/worm treatment ordered for Sox
427 Dentist's appointment changed
428 Accommodation booked for short break in Edinburgh in June with DGS1
429 Kitchen flooring ordered
430 Meeting papers done
431 Various veg plants bought half price potted up
Quite Easter as DD in Maldives and DS1 in Bali - we did do a day trip to Bridlington which was a nice change and I took DGCs swimming yesterday afternoon. Youngest not back at school until tomorrow so he is with me.

Tuesday is a bright sunny day although the forecast is cloudy with a high of 17°C & a low of 8°C. DH & DSis are planning a trip out to Battlesbridge today & have just set off 13:25 & I am settled with my cuppa & ready to cheerlead:
Dizzycap, I hope last night’s fox cub mission was successful 🤞 & you managed to see how many cubs there are 😉 It sounds like babyface could give lessons about a balanced diet 🤩 Another chapter for the ‘book’ 😊 Thinking about the number of parcels/packages (26 wasn’t it) you have ready for collection, I was just wondering how large the hallway is 😉 Fingers crossed that a van can be arranged 🤞
oh my word, they are soooooooo cute 🥰 & how on earth did your friend get them to sit still long enough for a photo 🤩
Brambling, This “I think your friend is being very selfish Dizzycap keeping all that cuteness to herself ❤️ I'm happy save her from herself and take a couple off her hands, I'm sure his lordship wouldn't mind 🤨 and they could share his catflap 😁” well said 😊 although I think it might be a bit cruel to separate the siblings 😉 His ‘lordship’ was obviously a customs official in a previous life 🤣
Lovely post sqwiffy 😊 How wonderful that your DM enjoyed her trip to the theatre with so many family members 🥹 Excellent work with both the decluttering & the sewing 👏
TC77, what a lovely way to spend yesterday afternoon & evening 🥹
Florenceem, I was inordinately pleased to hear that you spent the day indoors 🥹 When I started reading This “Daughter brought her old curtains here on Sunday…..” I fully excepted that the next words would be ‘to be shortened’ 😂 so was pleasantly surprised to read This “……to be put in SA recycling” Hope you & MrF have a lovely day 😊
Moorviews, lovely comments for sqwiffy 🥹 Sounds like you had a lovely weekend with your family ☺️ Hopefully you can find a few items to add to MrMV’s “minute amount of stuff” just to make the trip to the recycling centre worthwhile 🤞
Lovely post Dizzycap ☺️ Now that the postman has collected all the parcels, I am keeping my fingers crossed that your hallway stays clear for at least a few hours 🤞😉 Hopefully the sun will stay so you & babyface can enjoy your time in the garden 😊
I have almost caught up with the cheerleading but my concentration is flagging. & my cup is empty 😉 so I will post this & come back later 👋 Wishing everyone as good a day as possible 😊
