Good morning allAnother now wet morning as it began raining about 10 minutes ago, but all good because the garden needs it and I scattered some fabulous wild flower seeds late yesterday afternoon that I found in the garden shed
I had forgotten that I have put them in one of my gardening drawers, so a nice unexpected decluttering :DI've also got another box which I'm going to scatter out, rake in, and water later xx
All the usual HH basics have been done as usual and babyface thundered down the hallway not long after I got up to pop outside before she pranced off back to bed. I've just been in the bedroom to wrap her all up, give her a few morning snuggly kisses before I threw a fleece over the top of her - I left her purring like a catShe does love her kisses & cuddles.
Today's decluttering jobs include throwing out very old PJ's and I mean seriously holey oldas I found three brand new pairs in the top of my wardrobe yesterday - perfect! Nothing like going shopping in your own home
The art room is now fully decluttered and it's only taken 3 years! 😂🤣🎉🌈 The office is now not far behind and I might get it finished over Easter 🤩🥳it depends on energy and whether babyface gives me a couple of hours space while she snoozes in her office bunty bed. She must be one of a very few dogs who has a large bed in every living room which are cleaned out every week and fresh covers put on along with a seperate fleece for throwing over herI've just got back from trying to get dressed for half an hour as babyface decided it was fruit-loops around the bed time along with hiding under the clothes I was trying to get on which led to silly daxie girl games and raspberry belly kisses - I've finally escaped out from the bedroom looking like I've been through a hedge backwards - Never a dull moment!

Yesterday I wrapped and labelled sold items and popped to SA to print a label.
I sewed patches on my friend's blouse.
Packed my shopping trolley ready to take stuff to the charity shop.
Heard a crash - Mr F had fallen in the office again. I am keeping a record of the falls for when we are at the hospital clinic.
It was a lovely afternoon so we walked into town - first shop was the charity shop - only stuff left - no buys. One of Mr F's friends volunteers in there on a Thursday so they had a chat.
Got some cash next and stocked up on spectacles wipes - my glasses get so mucky.
Next we stocked up on sweets and chocolate then delivered parcels to the off licence.
On the way to the bus stop - we pass a bakers - treated us to a Gypsy tart - yummy with a cup of tea when we arrived home.
I left it to Mr F - if he wanted to go to SA for the Maundy Thursday service - he did.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

New tap - fitted by plumber, but then another wash and there is a problem caused by the tap replacement
they will come back Tuesday - luckily after about an hour I got the washing out and can wait til next week for another wash.
Dropped bag at CS having added a jacket and fleece.
Out old tap, 2 items from under the sink (one donated)
ood food
Suit carrier which I couldn't face cleaning (think a cat accident)
Resisted CS except a jumper £4
One of earlier CS jumpers liked by DD2 who is wearing in now so will go back to uni with her.
Apparently DD2 has donated a big bag of pens to a family she babysits and tutors for... I have suggested she gives me others to drop off at the donation hub - and there may be some I likeI think this was a few dozen but won't count these.
mended the cable between DVD and TV - (metal bits needed straightening) and works but remote doesn't. sorted batteries with all seeming to work.
Struggling with emails and waiting for items to be picked up - hope to report email drafted (will sleep on it before sending).
Sorry to hear people have had bad weather , it's been sunny but now overcast so brought washing in.16 -
Went to Good Friday service at SA - Mr F was not good while standing so sat for some of the songs. Church was going into town for open air witness but we came home.
I wrapped and labelled a V sale - had another one since. Only small amounts but all helps SA.
I ordered a new mobile sim for Mr F yesterday as his year sim only contract was finished.
I thought I had ordered a new phone for me but I hadn't completed the purchase so did that after lunch. Mr F will have my old phone - he still doesn't get on well with a mobile phone but the landline was expensive so only for broadband now.
This afternoon I decided to do a stock take on my freezer drawers - surprising what you have forgotten about. I am updating the stock list on my computer. I put a black sack on my craft table and empty out the drawer - quickly write it all down and put the drawer back before going on the computer.
I am feeling the urge to make pastry and pizza dough and now can see what I need to use up.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Just a quick check in (never seem to have enough time at the moment!). After still being able to find things to declutter in the house, I'm wondering if it's worth me properly spring cleaning the food cupboards to make sure I get to the back of everything and remind myself of what needs to be used up. Will think about that... maybe I could do a shelf a day or something in my lunch hour. In the meantime I have found more things to go around the house.Digital:

Been working on email frog, have draft and will revisit tomorrow.
16 items from me. DD2 has had another pen cull - gave me 47, 25 are in bank of things donation - 20 I've kept but will have to have my own cull and 2 didn't work very well. DD2 had already checked and I think thrown others out but counting her 25 as I could have kept all,
Items not collected which is disappointing but hopefully they will tomorrow.
Also over 100 emails deleted - counting as 1

Dizzycap said:@ Brambling - You have a recycling collection on Good Friday? Wow, you're privileged! Ours is on Saturday for the next 2 weeks due to the Easte bank holiday days before returning back to Friday collections.Florenceem is Mr F using is stick or walking aid indoors? If he isn't would that account to his falling indoors so much. My mum would only 'remember' to use hers when going out and would 'loose' it either indoors or in the greenhouse. Not a lot done today, I realised I've been overlooking a carrier bag in the spare bedroom, walking past it! so sorted that this morning. it must have been from a quick sweep around before visitors at Christmas and then forgotten about. About half of it was shredded or recycled. I went through a couple of cases of CDs I don't think I've opened the boxes in years so far about 15 have been put in a bag and can go to the second hand bookshop in Petworth as it sells them as well, I still have a couple of racks to go through so I imagine there will be a lot more.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin14

DH finished the table and did a good job.
I've done some mending today and reading. Did a comparison on travel insurance after our free bank insurance this year has changed and the new company Aviva are charging for pre existing conditions which are not requiring medication and DH only had one small operation on his foot which was successful and discharged him last week. So last year it cost nothing, Aviva will charge us £130..... We bought a couple of new pans and threw out the old ones. Enjoyed a drink in a garden pub in the country, lovely and sunny. Then shopping on the way home.
Thanks TC77. Brambling, I hope they will get to the bottom of your tiredness. WeeNancy, you're doing so well despite the stress. Mrs SD, that was one friendly squirrel! Dizzycap - thanks for the encouragement. I spoke to DH today to see how he felt I was doing as I think I'd had to slow down because of DM but he said I was doing okay.Decluttered 1 underwear drawer, 1 sock, 1 empty bottle, one large folder of old papers.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Good evening everyoneI hope that everyone is having a nice Easter weekend, although as is typical for the UK, when doesn't it rain on a bank holiday weekend?@ Fizz2015 - I'm so very sorry to hear about your family member and I hope that all goes well with the op
At least you are able to visit and offer support to them at this time
Well done with keeping the decluttering going on so many levels, but shame about the weather for your carbootie today
@ TC77 - Well done for keeping going on the decluttering front & I think you're doing just greatIt's never easy when there are distractions, especially if it leads to multi-tasking, but I've found recently that listening to music through my headphones for 20-30 minutes at a time while decluttering office paperwork; especially when listening to semi-heavy metal which I hate, makes me get a bat on with the decluttering that I've been avoiding as the sooner I finish, the sooner I can switch the God aweful music off and have a peaceful coffee break ready for the next splurt, whenever that might be
The last of my office paperwork has finally been sorted, rehomed, shredded & decluttered into the recycle wheelie within 30 minutes this morning. The thought of having to listen to any more metal music blew my head!
Now comes the difficult part of now allowing more than a weeks worth of necessary paperwork to build up at a time, which is so much easier to deal with. I try to deal with any daily mail delivery decluttering as best as I can, but life is never straight forward
The other decluttering achievements today are I did the usual HH bin decluttering & cleaning along with the usual kitch spray around, decluttered several cups of coffee & water through the morning, Decluttered the last of the wild flower seeds in the back garden this morning along with Monty babyface Don so diligently helping me to rake, scatter, water & lightly rake again before one last water - mud up to her armpits; which isn't very far for a shorty. Don't tell her I said that as she gets offended if I call her shorty or shortbread and she gives me the left foot up and disapproving frowning face pose when I do!
Needless to say, someone had to have a quick shower & clean up,and it wasn't me for once!
and so the carzy fruit-loops around the house began and finally ended 15 minutes later with Montyface totally crashed out on her beanie with legs in the air, vocals, and waggy tail going half to the dozen
I swear one day, she's actually going to take off like a helicopter
That meant I could get on with the office paperwork decluttering, which was handy and get the dry washing in and fold ready to put everything away. The usual well needed coffee break with babyface waking up mid coffee demanding a walk and wasn't taking a 'not right now in 10 minutes' for an answer - stubborn beyond absolute belief, at times
Then it was 15 minutes of soft baby and ball play before she decided enough for the day, turned around on her heels, pranced off to the bedroom, and burried herself in her clean fleeces on the bed for the afternoon, which is just as well as it began raining. The only issue with that was I wanted to put the clean clothes away in the wardrobe and clean up a little while slinging the hoover around, so decided instead to have a well needed nap with babyface
The foxes are about but I still haven't seen the cubs live yet. I can hear them whistling & screeching in the garden but their being well hidden in the darker parts and if I put the lights on to see them, they go away, so better to be patientWell it's getting very late & it's time for me to try and get some sleep - Take care all & ta-ta for now xxxx
