nannywindow - welcome back.
Mr F and I went to SA this morning. Mr F sat on the sofa - chatted, read his magazines and was hugged a lot plus given cake.
I worked in the food bank as we were short of volunteers. Very quiet today - only a dozen food parcels given out. Everyone was given an Easter egg with their food parcel. Families got an egg for each child. We had some bread and veggies to offer as well.
I did a bit of sorting donations plus put a crate of toys outside.
Came home to do our midday meal.
Went back to SA as I forgot to print a label - had to do 2 as another V sale.
Someone had taken the crate that I put the toys in outside and either them or someone else had left 2 black sacks of donations out there by the wall.
There were 2 more black sacks by the hopper so I sorted and bagged everything.
Old friends of Mr F - I haven't met them and we have been married 28 years in August - phoned - they have moved back to this area. The chap is in a care home - we plan to visit tomorrow afternoon. When they last met - Mr F was 22 stone - so it will be a surprise that he is now 13 stone.
I have packed my shopping trolley ready to go into town tomorrow morning to the charity shop and to post parcels. Mr F's old friend has his Birthday tomorrow - I will get a cake on my way home from town and we will visit after our meal.

Still don’t know when the kitchen is being ripped out yet, but have had other work done in the house.
Have managed to empty one kitchen cupboard completely now, getting rid of very old plastic lids that fit nothing into recycling.
140)-149) plastic lids and bit into recycling
150) milk bottle smashed this morning, the final one in the house as I don’t have a milkman anymore.
151) old paper certificate of DDs into recycling from primary school days
152) one picture DD painted into the bin. Love the picture but has been slashed by the cats
153) spare wheelchair I’ve had for a couple of years just lying around, now gone to a fellow wheelchair user friend for use.154) travel fork and spoon, worse for wear-recycling
155) very odds and ends of screws and other bits-recycling
156) hair and and broken elastic band-binnedThis weekend will hopefully be sorting out more tat in the living room now the wheelchair has gone.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

@Florenceem - Happy Birthday to Mr. F. Hope he has a great day.
I am recovering a bit from yesterday. BiL had a long conversation with J - who was very contrite last night - we will see what happens. Di is starting to clean in the living room. We have to get a chair out so we can get the bookcases in and things will progress better. She is getting rid of books - two boxes so far. I took them to the library today after my knitting class. In two weeks, we start to make a sweater - hopefully I can meditate at the same time. My sugar count has dropped considerably - may have been the stress. So has my blood pressure. I have been looking at small house plans - and it would be nice to just have me and a few books plus the cat.

Evening DeclutteriLots of active decluttering on so many different levels - AWESOME!@ Liverpool_Anne - Sending BIG hugs xxxxxx@ weenancyinAmerica - So very sorry to hear that you had a rough 30 minutes this week, although I'd have plenty to say if someone felt that they had the right to 'SHOUT' at me no matter how highly strung / stressed out they were. There are ways to be candidly direct with someone while speaking to them, not at them!
However, by the sounds of it, people are pulling their finger out and helping a little, plus you have an increase in revenue, so it's not all negative.
@Florenceem - I hope Mr.F had a lovely birthday, although by the sounds of the many hugs and cake, he didBusyish day here, also on so many different levels. The Dr's Surgery called me very early this morning with an immediate a Dr.s appointment with meds finally given, although too late as my spine locked overnight so the severity of my chronic pain increased to the point of being pysically sick with my mobility also decreasing considerably- 111 kept me sane, just! Babyface also took a slight turn for the worse as she had over done it during the day so I had to give her inflamation & pain relief and then knocked her out for 6 hours all bundled up in clean fleece's. She woke up still looking under the weather and very tired, so it's been bed rest for most of the day, but she picked up this evening after being encouraged to eat a little and then deciding to throw her swan toy around for 10 minutes before demand her dinner, going out to the loo, and then pracing off to the bedroom to get snuggled back in bed
Never a dull moment. I'm hoping that we'll both get a good nights sleep even if I manage a couple of hours, it's better than not having any sleep for 3 nights!
The gardener popped over this afternoon so finished off cutting the lawn & watered all my tubs for me, so that's all the garden jobs declutteredDecluttered 2 parcels off to postie this morning with another 2 booked for tomorrow, so the selling decluttering train is still ticking along slowly but surely. As for anything else, I did manage to go to Mr.Sains; after my meds finally kicked in but only for an hour while the gardener did his thing so I could pick up their 50% off meat deals and filled all the space in the fridge and freezer! Tonights task is getting at least 2 hours sleep & tomorrows task is actually having a shower, peeling off the clothes that I've had to live in for the past 3 days, putting my PJ's on, and going back to bed for the weekend with babyface in tow
Wishing everyone a very peaceful & well rested night for all. @weenancyinAmerica if your many housemates don't make your life better, they're not the right housemates. Shame about the shouty bil, but he had a point...except for the cat, the cat lives there, not him....Florence, good to hear mr F is home again, it's taken me a while ot catch up with sixty pages...hopefully you'll get some real help this time.Mostly quiet on the decluttering front, been to the tip a few times, all big things are out, half of iving room is almost clear to start doing one side with extra plug sockets, pleastering and then decorating. Might even be done by Christmas!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi15

@DizzycapI hope you and Babyface are having a decent nights sleep and that tomorrow is easier for you both. (((hugs))) XXXI Believe.....

@Dizzycap so hope you and Babyface have slept.
Doing some dusting, hoovering etc at my dad's and bathroom cleaning and noticing how easy it is as so much less stuff here (its at mine! - only half joking as I have been doing one in one out for most big things- e.g.table/.chairs/ sofa/ drawers)..one of the CS has closed here , scope the same as at mine so hope they are keeping some open for income as both were busy. Several others not accepting donations but checked and one will take the bag I'm dropping off this morning some books, china and mens trews. Books are from a pile I'd said I might want so a small win.
I did buy a few things in cs for me but all things I'll use/ wear and when home will delist items which haven't sold in 2 weeks and put in cs. I so want to be able to have a house ( or part of) which is easy to keep clean and tidy!
Bringing some things back from my dad's easier to pass on in London.
Spoke to estate agent and hoping enquiries turn into real interest.
Not seen anything I want to move to...
Getting quotes for work to my house .... the dread of having people around.. fine for the first day or so and then want my space back!
Hope everyone has the best weekend they can and as much rest as possible.
Waiting for person about plates to come back to me as they can def grand other things on free sites hoping people collect.14 -
@Dizzycap It sounds like my symptoms are a very mild version of yours. I know how draining mine are so my heart goes out to you. I hope the meds kick in soon an you get some relief and some proper sleep. Same for Babyface, pets are one of the family and it's a stress when they're not well especially as they can't tell you until the symptoms are bad enough for them to react differently.
@nannywindow Welcome back. 😁
@Florenceem A Happy Belated Birthday to Mr F and so good he was out and about to enjoy it. Do take some time to recuperate yourself, both physically and mentally. Our animal brain kicks in when under stress and because we don't want to be the weak looking one that gets targeted by the predator, we go into hyperdrive to look as normal as possible. The downside of that is that we keep ourselves going until we collapse.
@weenancyinAmerica I think everything that can be said has been said! Sending you much love and wishes for things to resolve in a way that benefits you. I think our generation was brought up to feel we should serve others and if we didn't than we were being selfish - a good way to subjugate women in general. Just remember the aircraft safety advice: put the oxygen mask on yourself first so that you are then alive to put it on others.
@Moorviews Thinking of you. I hope the depression passes; stress has to find a way out and in my case I know it took a lot of time. I learnt to give myself permission to be down and eventually convinced myself it was healing - so I guess putting a sort of positive spin on it. Pets are wonderful in this case. 😁 I also got chickens to make sure I got out of bed in the morning to let them out and stayed up in the evening to lock them in again. The bonus was of course lovely fresh eggs. 🤣
To everyone else stressed or in pain, there is so much love on this thread. It may not always be written and posted but there will be so many good wishes in the ether.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger As has been said, thank you for your cheerleading and running the thread. 🥇definitely first class. 😁
Well done on all the decluttering everyone, I am in awe. I've been shovelling earth in the garden while the sun shone in sunny South Wales so looking forward to the rain so I can get back into the house and do some housework. It's definitely one or the other these days. 🤣DxAiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget
