Floss said:Dear declutterati, I think I am approaching peak declutter... at the end of the month I am decluttering my job in exchange for a notional sum of money 😊 as part of my NHS hospital employer's £25m / 5% cuts.
The plan is to have the summer off then find a part-time job, so I can get on with all those jobs that need doing.
i had breakfast out with my sister at Leonardslee gardens this morning we had a short walk around the top half of the gardens, the rhododendrons are coming out and will be spectacular in a week or so 🙂 it was warm enough for the baby wallabies to be out in the sunshine 🦘
Nothing major done this afternoon but I did ensure that my general rubbish wheelie bin went out full again this week.

Thank you to those who were thinking about me. My sister came with her irate husband - and he yelled for about thirty minutes about the state of the house. He intends to help me get one roommate (J) out. The other roommates will have their rents raised a bit. Still shaking, but I got through it. Just need to declutter the living room and kitchen like crazy for the next week and then start on our two storage rooms. He never did let me finish a sentence.
Before they came I cleaned up spider webs in the living room and kitchen, cleaned the toilet in one of the bathrooms, swept the other downstairs bathroom floor, and cleaned half of the bathroom sink area (my half). Also started the blood testing and the insulin shots for the diabetes and fed the cats. Made oatmeal for breakfast. Still not sure what I am supposed to eat. Also called and requested a large item trash pickup. We get three per year with up to 20 items. I only have 8 items listed so far, so I can add more as we come to them.20 -
@weenancyinAmerica...well done for getting through the day. I hope helping you with room mate J is helpful.... I hope you can rest as sounds exhausting both the preparation for it and having your sister and her husband.13

Yes, he was yelling at me - for letting them come live in the house in the first place. Di thought he had accepted her as part of the family, so she may be devastated by hearing he doesn't and thinks she needs to move elsewhere. J was at work so only the other three heard him. We will survive - I hope. Decluttering is a must now - extra-strength style. Plus raising funds so we don't have to worry about any help from my family for anything. We may be trying to figure out where to move by the end of the year. I considered buying a lot somewhere, putting several tiny houses on it and living in one by myself. Having them live in the other ones for awhile. And having my friend in Colorado have a tiny house too. She is considering moving into one anyway. Just where is the question.
Oh - and we found out he hates cats. Really angry that one was on my bed.17 -
I am speechless…….I really really hope this gives a well needed kick up the bum to the housemates and that they start pullling their weight.
Massive great big hugs ❤️❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇

Really sorry to those who are having difficulties. I hope you find some peace in the chaos and support.
Managed to clear a few items today. Some things I've been holding on to. Listed some items again but gone lapse on the sales again. Even listed a few items on a free site and nothing. I'll donate to a charity shop next week if no movement.
Feeling slightly more motivated. Will get a lot more done when DD goes back to school. She has an attachment to everything.

@weenancyinAmerica if he can increase your income & reduce the burden by encouraging J to leave, that 30m may have been worthwhile xx2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi from Cadiz.Floss, let’s hope we have some lovely summer this year, enjoy.
Happy Birthday Mr F.
Wee Nancy, your BIL sounds appalling but as Floss says it may be productive in the end. I hope he follows up his comments and it actually helps ultimately. It’s ok to come in, shout and judge but some actual help is worth more. Hard, but in your position I would evict all of them, sell up and buy a small manageable apartment for just you , your books and your cats. Xxxxxx
Well done everyone on getting outside stuff done and making the most of the weather. It will be just my luck that the weather breaks and my garden will rampage away from me when we get home next week.Best wishes to people under the weather and hugs just because.Vx:20
