Mrs SD- that's a beautiful scarf.I went to have tea and cake with a group women volunteers. We help people in the community as and when we can who want to learn to sew by hand or machine. Then this afternoon I did some pruning in the garden while DH cleared the gutters, then we sat and read for a while. I'm really getting through them this month.5 books read so they can be passed on/2 returned to the library.Bit more cleared from the loft room of doom, which actually makes it look messier at this stage! I have accumulated a huge stash of fabric with the intention of making clothes and not wasting any scraps but I can hardly even get to them at present. Been doing a fair bit of handsewing when at my DM's, visible mending to keep me to my goal of not buying clothes. Even DH agreed that I could do the same to some of his jeans as I long as I don't do any "flowers or insects thank you!"@YBR - I can kind of see where your DH is coming from, since I retired over 5 years ago yet still have all my courses as I didn't update my training before leaving. Am I likely to go back to work- no but could I, yes if I re register. Very unlikely but still, if I burn or shred them, that's final !! So ridiculous since I am so busy looking after my DM but still.....@Wee Nancy, Sometimes things need to get to rock bottom before change can happen. I don't condone your BIL shouting at you ( could it be frustration rather than anger?) but if the other's heard, it might get them to act. And if you are not so soft, it might be helpful as you could still do with more help and less lodgers! You can change if you want to but it might be very hard. I hope you are given support too.@Dizzycap, that makes me so mad to hear when surgeries/pharmacies don't make sure people don't have to suffer like that...@Cranky40, that's some going! Wish I was so good.@Floss, Wow, enjoy some time doing nothing too.@Daisy1571 - an extra 7, that's a lot. No wonder you'd had enough!TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.20

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
A duller start to Sunday with the sun struggling to appear.Temperature was forecast to be noticeably cooler with a high of 16°C & a low of 9°C 🙁 Forgot to mention that we had some drizzle at about 04:00 although it only lasted about 20 minutes. I have spent a couple of hours sorting out paperwork so have only just noticed that it has clouded over & looks like it might rain…….. It did rain, a light drizzle for about 30 minutes. Sorted out some more paperwork whilst watching episodes of Murder, She Wrote. DH got home 19:50. Too cold for the salad I had planned so DH ordered in - burgers & fries.
charlies_tribe, definitely a busy week especially with looking after DGD & the 3 doctor’s appointments👏Well done to your DH for creating space in the small shed for the living room boxes 👏 Fingers crossed the weather stays fine & that you can finish sorting the big shed & filling the skip 🤞
Fell asleep on the sofa & have just woken up 🙊 so will post & run. Sleep tight 😴

Gave a box of items to charity and also did a general move around of items so the house looks a lot less cluttered.
It's freed up room in the cupboard so that things can start to be moved around.
Still going to wait until DD is back at school to tackle some things. Even moving her things so they are put away results in them being taken back out.
Hope everyone is OK and enjoying the warmer weather.

Been away on holiday and had a lovely but busy time and have come home feeling run down with niggly health issues - payback for having fun whilst living with chronic fatigue. This week will be busy with hospital appointments for us both so need to try and pace although I don’t think it’ll do any harm to turn up looking wrecked! It was so much easier to unpack when we got back in a tidier home than previous holidays and it helps with wanting to keep up momentum to get rid of more. Oven broke before we went away and am not going to replace it for now as whole kitchen needs doing and would prefer built in cooker as free standing one allows for bits of food to be spilled in between cooker and worktop on both sides and is a nightmare to clean. Am all for reducing workload as we get older.
Plan to do little bits of decluttering as I go along. It’s recycling week so will focus on the reading pile when I have enough brain power.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -
weenancyinAmerica - yes - Mr F was using his rollator - he has to now - so unsteady when walking.
Had 9 hours sleep and feel a lot better.
I am still in my pjs - having a lazy morning.
Granddaughter wants a label printed so I will pop to SA later.
I thought that I would have to go on the bus to the doctor's surgery to order my medication but managed to do it online.
A mega delivery came this morning from the chemist for Mr F - they delivered cases of the nutrition drinks which he doesn't need. Mr F is not as mobile now so not burning calories off.
I have listed some bits on V this morning.

Good afternoon allSo much decluttering action happening folks which is awesome and an inspiration to those who may have lost their mojo a little. I know I have but then I seem to go in sudden spurts of knowing exactly what's going, how and where, and then it's rear end blast off!As I'm feeling better today
I've had to carefully pace myself but managed to stop at 2 loads of washing all hanging out on the line before the April showers start arriving here from tomorrow, clean out the birdbaths and refil including feeders, and then babyface asked to go for a woods walk, so guess we we've been?
Her stitches have fully disolved now and she had a quick check up at the VETs before off we went
Babyface is looking the spitting image of her handsom dad today and I could just eat her!Presently snoozing away in the sun after a lamb lunch - not that she's spoilt
We're off to bed for a couple fo hours so ta-ta for now xxxx I hope everyone has an inspiring day xxxx

hello all. Hope everyone is doing okay. After doing a massive declutter and deep clean in my kitchen last week I am a happy bunny, so much easier to keep clean and tidy now all the junk has been cleared away. This week I am planning a big declutter of my bedroom. Have a good few bits of old crafting things left over plus some Christmas things which didnt get used. Fingers crossed I get a good start at least. There is a whole load of stuff in the bed - its an ottoman one so tons of space to hoard my junk. I want to clear it out enough that spare blankets can be stored in there which will be a great help.have a great week all xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I am taking a few days off photo sorting as we are going to visit friends and relatives, but I've tidied, dusted and hoovered round today so that I have a clean, calm and welcoming house to come back to. I'm not planning to do anything on Thursday except rest after a lot of driving. Rosie is coming with us and has already clocked the fact that I have packed a bag for her, so she's very excited!
Keep up the good work, everyone15 -
I found our marriage certificate!!! Must remember to take it to my appointments for the biometrics for my visa tomorrow.....just in case.
And in the search I unearthed a couple of needed charging cables which I've put in our travel box so I don't forget them the next trip. Also about 5 years worth of bank statements - wondering if I need to keep them but I'll hold on until I have the brain space to think.
A few other things - letters from my mom and dad - which I'll take to Canada with me in case my brothers are interested. Otherwise I'll bin them.
