hellooooo im back,
that dreaded room I sorted a while back? Yeah that's back to a mess again! I'm overflowing with crochet items, puzzles etc! So, my plan is to sort it all out again when I get home.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. Hi everyone
Can't remember when I last posted, RL has been very busy.
I managed to drop off 2 bin bags at the CS this weekend. I've also spent a few hours in my small bedroom, I mainly sorted loads of paperwork - the shredder had to keep having breaks, it was so busy! And the recycling wheelie bin is half full (it was only emptied on Friday). Along the way, I've been gathering up felt pens, coloured pencils, paper, stickers etc so I can offer them for free on Fb.
I'm off work today as my back is very sore. I am alternating lying down and walking round the house as horizontal or upright are the only comfortable positions. Not good for a desk based person!
sending hugs to all who need them
Love Deni

Hello all,
Been AWOL, still trying to get over this lurgy which is lingering on.
Dr said it's a viral infection which just has to run it's course.
I am feeling better so hopefully be recovered fully soon!
How cute is babyface - Glad her stitches have dissolved fully.Debt Free - 4th June 202515 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday is an even duller day than Sunday - overcast with a chilly breeze making it feel several degrees cooler ☹️ Forecast high of 15°C & low of 7°C I forgot to update my numbers yesterday so here goes:
675 - 681 Kitchen recycling, glass bottle, drinks cans, booklet, 2 magazines, duplicate Report & Accounts (0.5” thick) - recycled
682 Kitchen detritus binned
Now I have my first cuppa & will go straight into Sunday’s cheerleading.
TC77, sorry to hear that DD2’s visit was a bit of a let down 😔 I do hope that she at least sorted out a bit more than her pen collection 😉 Hopefully her next visit will be more productive 🤞Good luck with the cleaning & tidying 🍀 Reading This “Frustration bigger than usual as have someone coming to help clean my house for a couple of hours this pm and had hoped to do deep clean of a room.... but can't see one empty enough. Help is only available when they have a gap in their schedule and I'm at home so perhaps every couple of months.” all I could think was that you have made great progress with your decluttering as not too long ago you wouldn’t have dreamed of letting anyone in 😉 The living room sounds like a good candidate for a deep clean & perhaps the hallway as I know that you have been working hard to keep it clear 👏 Hope it goes well 🙏
QueenJess, such sad news 😢 My heart goes out to her family 🥺 Excellent decluttering especially finding enough to make a Tip trip worthwhile 👏 As your DH did make an effort to find a few of his things to declutter to the Tip, I am awarding him a medal 🏅 as an encouragement to declutter more 😉
Soontobeoap, This “Clearing up for guests yesterday…. but I did discover that if my cabin down the garden can be made watertight again we have enough storage in the house for everything we have….. What was lovely was that it only took a day to get the house back up to how I like it and I have been pulling out craft stuff to use for weeks. It normally takes both of us on tidying and cleaning for 2 days solid and the air becomes a bit blue?🤣. Yesterday it was easy and needed just me. I am so happy. I must be getting somewhere.” was such a joy to read & an example to all of us that if we continue our decluttering, at some point we will realise, as you have, what a good job we have done 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 so close to receiving your next award 😁
Florenceem, no wonder you were tired on Sunday after such a busy Saturday 😪 It sounds like MrF enjoyed visiting his friend 🥹 Such a shame about MrF’s fall 😔 & This “ - no one came to help us.” must have been quite upsetting 😢 although my reaction to reading this was one of annoyance at such inconsiderate people 😠 Sorry to hear about the cramp - possibly a combination of not enough fluids & the unexpectedly long walk from the bus stop 😞
Excellent decluttering TC77 👏 Don’t forget to update your numbers, as I think you must be very close to the quarter point when I will be making an award 😊 Hope you enjoyed your Zumba class 🤞
Pennypincin, no need to apologise for being unable to keep up with the EDT 😉 It is still zooming along as neither of the drivers are paying any attention to my repeated requests to slow down a little 😂 Good luck with both the studying & the decluttering 🍀
Lovely cheerleading Dizzycap 😊 I especially liked This comment “It always gets worse before it gets better x It has to because you have to sort and organise which is always messy business ❤️” & a timely reminder for me that just because it gets messy it is not an excuse for me to do nothing 🤣 Re This “….enjoying chill out time with babyface who is patiently waiting for the huge leg of lamb to finish slow cooking - There's a first 😆” are you absolutely certain it was babyface 🤣 Hope you both enjoyed the lamb & managed to have a very restful Sunday 😊
DH headed off at 14:30 to meet his BiL & niece S in Greenwich. They had been on a reconnaissance trip to Heathrow airport as they have an early morning flight to Barbados & the shuttle from the hotel leaves after check in time.
Excellent decluttering on Sunday TC77 👏 Adding the 45 to your previous total of 484 means that you now have 529/2025 & one Gold Star ⭐️ is winging its way to you as I type ☺️ Congratulations 🥳 DD2 has a lot of pens & pencils 😧 I would say that she is SABLE for at least 3 lifetimes 🤣
Florenceem, so pleased to hear that MrF accompanied you to church yesterday 🥹 The two of you must have been exhausted after spending so much time sorting donations with you running around moving & storing items 😪 I do hope you managed to rest in the afternoon 🙏 Congratulations to your daughter for running the Paris marathon 🥳 Such a worthy cause to run for 🥹
weenancy, I love the idea of Dizzycap writing a book about babyface ☺️ Well done to Di for her solo trip 👏 I am very pleased to hear that, although you are/will be helping out getting sorted for the monthly book sale, you are restricting yourself to a supervisory role ☺️ I really don’t want to get out the ‘wagging finger’ - I do miss that emoji 😉
One page caught up 🙂 Will post & then have a quick look at today’s mail - hopefully just filing 🤞 Wishing everyone as good a Monday as possible 🙂 P.S. DH just phoned - as he arrived at Greenwich he received a text saying new meeting spot was Canary Wharf 🤭 - hopefully he made it on time 🤞One bright side is that at least it will raise his step count 😉

Hey ho allWhile I'm sitting here later afternoon contemplating decluttering one of the large boxes which are full of items I've decided to sell with some items that are already listed with others I need to pull my finger out with getting listed, I found this interesting decluttering article - I'm obviously feeling and in need of a decluttering spirt this afternoonOff to sling the hoover around a bit and empty the bins before I go for it!

A very quick post to say I am still here but surrounded by items emptied from kitchen and dust. I will post numbers later but suffice to say I have decluttered a kitchen, a boiler, gas hob, a section of wall, old airing cupboard etc and I am living in a cloud of dust. Sox impressed to discover a 'door' between bathroom and kitchen and quickly made the small slither of a gap into a cat sized walk through. He will be disappointed when the gap is blocked up. Had a nice trip away at the weekend and saw many old friends. Will try and post tomorrow when I've read the last 83 posts.2025 Decluttering Campaign 648/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

My sister came around for dinner yesterday and to help build the storage cupboard for my spare room (!!!! Flat packs) she also returned a bag of a dozen books I thought I had off loaded on her 🤨 I've now put in the car as I forgot earlier when I went into town, they can go to Petworth on Wednesday. Unfortunately there was an error made at the beginning of the cupboard build (whilst I was cooking) which meant we couldn't get the door on 🙄 we gave up last night and will come back to it. New requirement when buying the cupboard for my dining room, it needs to be already built! His lordship objected to us working on the landing, could have been to the swearing and got very vocal whilst sitting on the stairs or he could have been giving instructions he is a male! He surprised my sister as she doesn't think she's ever heard him miaow before he's not a chatty cat 🙂
Hip complained overnight and kept me awake so not too much done today, the cupboard packing was broken down and added to the recycling bin along with a few other bits. A couple of small tadpoles completed in town and a small bag taking to the CS.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin17 -
Hi everyone.
Hugs to all, especially those in need.
Sorry to hear that people have the lergy too.
I started to feel off with the sore throat and the cold yuky feeling last night.
I suspected I would as I sat next to someone in the cinema Thursday last week who was sniffing and sounded poorly.
I've managed to take a bag of bits to the charity shop including a new pair of trainers that really were painful to wear and causing me to have a more painful achilles tendon.
I also took a bag of recycling to the supermarket.
Another bag of recycling started, plus I'm going to sort out the rubbish and recycling for the bin people in the morning, which I will put out asap in the morning.

I deleted the post with Part 1 of DD2's pen collection as I felt I should have rounded up my own, - couldn't just delete the photo but had to delete the whole post.
Took another bag to CS adding a shirt, quite alot of DD2s things (books, etc ) but no counting those so new total 530. Unfortunately, the CS has a big area of everything £2 so you have to rummage like an old fashioned jumble sale. Brought back some items (as I own up to doing the other day), although some things I will definitely wear and one for DD2 at least one will go in a new CS bag. Many things look good at £2!

Thank you for my gold star Mrs SD and all the encouragement.
The trip to Heathrow is so quick now on the Elizabeth line changing at Canary Wharf is an option and free for us oldies with an oyster..Sorry to hear DH headed to Greenwich and then back to CW.
Parting with the plates may motivate me to get rid of more crockery/Kitchen things and then I can keep the extra CS clothes17
