Another one from S Wales here.
Print of a Percheron sent to my old friend who now has 2 real ones ( well jealous).
Last year's calendar to recycling after transferring all the birthdays to the new one.
Lots of old mail of no consequence to recycling.
A decent load of Mrs M's clothes to lovely neighbour/friend. Lots still to go but eating the heffalump one slice at a time.
Lots of emails cleared out too.

Another 57 books/ magazines out to the charity shop/recycling today, a box of mystery cables added to the tip pile and 5 items collected by freecyclers. Tomorrow is moving day, and it feels like we still have far too much to get shifted so must continue apace. Temporarily moving in with family whilst we wait for our new house to be ready, so it will be a bit like living in a jumble sale i fear 😂 but hoping my efforts to date help a little at least2025 in 2025- 2027/2025

And I’m off!General decluttering,
1) another mug broken by the cats
2) a mass of cardboard out for the recycling today
3) a bag of cat sachets taken to the recycling point
4)-6) bras x 3. Finally I have found a bra bank. More to go
Neutral items
A box I had been sent with presents, it was ideal to send neutral items for the charity straight away. These items didn’t even get chance to be stored. Made good use of the box. The first,
25 items sent to the charity.I don’t know who mentioned it on the thread but I make sure everytime I am going upstairs, if there is something that needs taking up I will and vice versa. So far it is working very wellDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi everyone
A slow start for me but at least I've started - I've recycled the used wrapping paper & last year's calendar; shredded some confidential work notes and put the shreddies in the recycling, deleted 50 emails and decluttered a box of Xmas chocs
I got a new frying pan for Xmas and have binned my old one - it was wonky & I had to balance the handle on an egg box to make the base level!
Love to all

Large bag of books dropped off at volunteering, second hand book shop and I managed not to bring any home with me, I was tempted!I was tired when I got home and the house was cold (the shop is hot) and declutterred a hour with an unplanned nap, still slightly stiff from that. I have reluctantly binned a pair of boots, they are years old and have been very comfortable but unfortunately now have holes in the bottom and leak.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin22

I made a start on crochet tonight, this has taken me ages and it's not perfect and now my thumb hurts
I emptied recycling and sorted the tupperwear cupboard!

@BlueJ94 I think your cow and tortoise are really cute. Well done! I really must dig out my stuff and try to learn. Again!
We woke this morning to quite a deep covering of snow and more falling at intervals during the day. It was especially surprising since it was so mild for the many Hogmanay revellers in the city centre. It's still hovering between +2degC and -2degC, so it'll probably be lethal underfoot tomorrow.
Unsurprisingly, I managed another day without any unbudgetted spending. Housework was mostly pottering and getting back into my routines (no laughing at the back!🤪) However, I did manage some decluttering.
Basically, I kept to my plan to declutter 1 container a day. This time it was a virtual one. I've already set up a new 2025 folder by copying 2024 then rationalising the two so that there was no duplication. I moved all the old/duplicate folders and files to the Recycling bin and then emptied it. Still a fair way to go, but it's a start. I'm not aiming for a target but, out of curiosity I noted that the bin contained 184 items!
The only other thing I did, as mentioned on another thread, was beat a really awkward dishwand into submission and repurpose it instead of throwing it away.
So, totals:
NSDs = 2/15
Containers = 2/365 (184 items plus a dishwand! 🤣)A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES
2025 Declutter:
1 CONTAINER (box/bag/folder etc) per day; 50/365
1 FROG (minimum) per week; 6/52
WEIGHT I'll start with 25 lbs (though I need to lose more!) and see how it goes...🤔 0/25
2025 NSDs: 15 per MONTH - FEB 4/15; JAN 21/15
2025 Fashion on the Ration: (carried over from 2024) 10+66 = 76
2025 Make Do, Mend & Minimise No target, just remember to report!

What a fab lot you are - you have been so busy!
We have 2 freezers that we can't get any more food in to and every cupboard is full, we also have 2 allotments and chickens so we need to start using what we have - so much gets wasted! Since Christmas I have tried to make use of everything and using up left overs (so OH he has only ordered takeaway once because he was hungry at 4pm - I cooked my own food later). Today, with some of the 8p veg we bought for Christmas, I made a batch of parsnip soup; we've never been soup eaters but I'm trying to encourage it. I'm not sure I like it myself but will set an example!I also made a roast pork dinner using some of the pork I bought on offer and froze (one down from the freezer!), and the last of the 8p veg. I prepped the veg early and then put the pork in to roast while I took DD2 to football. I really didn't feel like starting to cook when I got back froze but I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it and felt good that I'd made a meal using food which so often ends up as compost.
Being inspired by the 2024 decluttering thread I listed a 5 foot crafting lamp on ebay just before Christmas. It weighed almost 7kg and I put in the listing that I didn't want to post it as I had no box and it was heavy. I set the postage really high and someone still bought it. I spent ages trying to wrap it in cardboard and black bin liners (so a cardboard box was decluttered) and carried it to the shop tonight. The floor was icy and the puddles were frozen solid. I also took 2 items of clothing when I went as a clothes bank has been put outside the shops. I would normally get a bag full and have very intention of taking them all in one go (or selling them later...) but this is half the reason I'm in this mess so I took the advice in this thread and did it straight away.Other things decluttered today were: 1 broken meat thermometer, a plastic bottle left on the side, plastic take away cartons also left on the side (I'm guessing because I sometimes use them for freezing things), I decanted 3 half used shower gels into one so another 2 bottles went, a plastic spoon appeared with the teaspoons so that went, a set of 5 rubbish microfibre flannels that I bought from Temu, an ood bottle of sauce that DS1 left in the fridge and 100 emails got deleted!Tonight I started going through some of my wool stash, taking photos and adding it to my ravelry page so that I can see what I have (finding it again will be a different matter!).So today my decluttering total is 16 physical items and 100 digital items plus all the 8p veg used up and a joint used from the freezer.But... I ordered a new set of circular knitting needles to use as I found sock wool I'd forgotten I'd bought to learn how to knit socks - so more things coming in!2025 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD. Hi all, managed to not fall asleep on the couch by finishing portioning up the left over tea and the massive pot of veg stew cooked today
. 13 meals in the freezer though I did have to play freezer tetris to get it all in. 2 containers of frozen apples out to defrost and I will check them tomorrow, they have been in there so long they may not be usable. Veg not used in the stew was chopped and blanched and also put in the freezer. Veg is tricky in this house as I love most of it but OH only really likes Mediterranean veg, will not tolerate carrots or cabbage, nearly faints at the sight of a sprout but I love them
2 LDFPA from the maiden and the load on the line was mostly dry so that has gone onto the maiden to finish off. The lr bin was emptied again after a sweep of the room managed to fill it. A bottle of bubble bath finally uu. I rarely have a bath, prefer to shower so I resorted to using it as shower gel
. Next in line has replaced it after my toiletries sort yesterday.
I didn't finish the baby blanket as I couldn't scrub the smell of onions off my hands so a job for tomorrow
I am falling asleep now so hugs to anybody who would like one
12 batch cook
13 lr bin
14 & 15 LDFPA
16 toiletries uu
Take care everyone
