Muddy_Walker - I have pom poms to make for tie backs on daughter's voile curtains - not made the curtains yet!
sqwiffy - the sewing machine that I listed was bought for taking with me to family. I used it for repairs and making curtains when I visited so I did use it. Then I bought a computerised sewing machine to use as my travelling one. So the unloved one sat in my craft storage room - aka - SROD. Now I have also gone off the computerised one so that may go too.
Very cold here today - feels like -2 - the forecast said. It is sunny though.
Mr F told me that a nurse turned up yesterday afternoon when I was out and he was upstairs. After no answer to the door - the nurse phoned - going to come this afternoon apparently. A nurse was meant to call here on Wednesday afternoon - when I was home!
I have found some items to photograph and list so will do that next.
I now have bids on 3 Eb.. items so pleased about that.
I have listed some of my bits on V now I am no longer doing it for SA.

Interesting book Daisy.
Aww squiffy, hugs. That little fella had the best life with you. Grief shows how much you loved him.xx Yeah, everything will be ok, just keep chipping away, we gotcha.
Muddy, I am with you in the over thinking club. Completely useless pass time ,I wish I could give it up! I actually think me constantly having a project of some type or other is me trying to distract myself.
I taught DD2 to basic crochet and within weeks she was churning out all sorts of amiguru.Kudos.
Mehefin, What a shocker. Good job the library is there to lend a hand.
Liverpool Anne, what a sad task, and a sad situation. Poor old fella.
I completed a frog from my to do list yesterday, oiled the kitchen work tops. I want to clean the outside door thresholds today. These type of things don't actually take long and aren't actually essential but I want to keep the house looking as good as it can. I want to get all the inside things done in the next few weeks as it will soon be gardening season.
Into recycling, a very tatty road atlas. Also destined for the tip, the TV. it has been taking longer and longer to fire up over a few weeks. It took 3 hours at it's latest attempt. Mr V will pick up a new TV today. I don't watch a lot of TV but Mr V does. In fact when we met I didn't have a TV at all, he was horrified!
Still on a knitting marathon, still got a squeaky voice.

Update on double mattress. We pushed and pulled and finally got a folded in half very thick mattress into our car. We also added 4 bin bags of stuff that I have collected up over the past 2 weeks from spare room, other craft stuff and kitchen and garden bits in and a whole load of packaging from mattress. As we entered tip area a man asked if we had any electrical items which we didn't so we pottered on to the skip area. We unloaded the rubbish bags followed by the mattress! "No Sir" says the man. " Needs to go down there" pointing to entrance. I suggest we walk it down as getting it in the car a second time might be quite a challenge. No couldn't do that as dangerous so had to get it back into car and drive it round again. I was in hysterics by this time. DH didn't see the funny side! Anyway it's all out of the way now and house feels much clearer. Also we are getting a food nights sleep again?craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Went to the tip wih an actual bootfull onTuesday, the car was rammed. Normally, t takes me five mintues to unload, this one took half an hour.. Sorted out clothes yesterday, have a black bag and a half of rag to go. I', waiting on the cat getting off the bed so I can sort the bed linen and see what actually fits the bed now so I can jettison some of that stuff too. All clothes now fit in wardrobe and there is a bag to sell...There is also a bag of doesnt fit me but I won't get rid of just yet [ most of it is on the cusp of fitting] so that's a fail but I don't careNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi19

Mehefin - how horrible.
I added some glasses and a cup to the donation bag so now we have two full bags to take today. We are going to a local cafe for brunch so will drop it off later. I've just vacuumed again (!) and I am going to clean the bathroom and kitchen floors. I need to wait to hang the laundry up before we go as I stripped the bed covers too. Looking at the time it will be more like lunch, not brunch. It feels like a lovely bright day out there. I was going to go to Waitrose to get the Valentine's meal deal and some flowers. We are going to go to a flooring place to get someone over to give us a quote for upstairs as the men who did our downstairs floor didn't get back to us.

How awful about the school. Glad the library has been able to help though.
Nothing from me today. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x19 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Good morning & Happy Valentines Day. The sky is blue & the sun is out although the temperature is only 2°C (feeling like -2°C) I have been spoilt - flowers & chocolates 🥹
Lovely post Florenceem 😊 Well done on rescuing meals from the SA fridge 👏 Although I am sorry to hear that you are so tired 😪, I am relieved to hear that you are slowing down a little & making time for yourself 🥹 Just wondering if the physiotherapist will be visiting MrF at home? Good luck with the listings 🍀
vulpix, This “weenancy……I will be coming over with LiverpoolAnne to give some people some home truths.” would be marvellous 🤩 add in London_1, Brie, Floss, daisy_1571 to name a few & weenancy’s roommates wouldn’t know what had hit them 😂 Sorry to hear that you still have your cold 😔 so please give yourself some TLC 🙏 It does sound like your ‘decluttering mojo’ has decided that you need a rest, hence its disappearing act 😉 Good luck with the sale of the bag 🍀 Five months on a cruise - your friend isn’t German is she? The reason I ask is that my DB’s in laws had a long cruise a few years ago 🤔😅 Please, please try to rest at least a bit more 🙏
Excellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Hopefully your DH is doing well on clearing his admin To Do list 🤞
Excellent decluttering, cleaning & tidying MadamMim2013 👏 You have been busy 👏 Yippee to the new to you bed 🥳 especially as you had such a great result on the sale of the old bed & the cost of the new bed 😊 As you say ‘Win, Win, Win’ 😁 I have everything crossed that DS1 is NOT following in the family footsteps 🤞
Thanks for your post daisy_1571 - the book sounds very interesting 🤔 I do like the quotes you illustrated “….'seeing something new can be as easy as turning your head in a different direction'.” & agree with you that the quote by Martin Luther King “you don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step'.” is comforting 🥹
Good luck with your new listings Florenceem 🍀 Fingers crossed that the slippers fit & that you managed to get MrF out of the office 🤞
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏 Shame about This “DH shirt bought on fleabay and posted. I found this really stressful, only covered costs so no idea why I did it?!” but at least you know now that ‘selling online’ is not for you 👏
Florenceem, great news that the new slippers fitted MrF & even better that you managed to buy them for such a reasonable price 😊
Muddy_Walker, sorry to hear that “Sleep still Mis-behaving” 😔 Just wondering if you have mentioned it to your doctor? Well done on learning the ‘triple stitch’ 💐 Sometimes I think there are too many people posting ‘how to’ videos which makes it difficult to choose one 😕 I had the same issue with learning a few different embroidery stitches 😞 which reminds me that I really do need to get back into it 😉 Pleased to hear that your dogs are not only looking after you but also keeping you on your toes 🥹 Looking forward to seeing pictures of your crochet projects 🙏
daisy_1571, please celebrate how much easier it is to clean & tidy up 😊 You will find your second wind aka mojo will suddenly return & then you will be ‘flinging for Scotland’ 😅
Liverpool_Anne, I think the napping during the day is down to the weird weather 😉 or at least that is what I am telling myself 😂 Excellent digital decluttering 👏 Pleased to hear that ln is on the mend 😊 although please gently remind her not to take on too much until she is fully recovered 🙏
What a lovely post sqwiffy 🥹
daisy_1571, you always seem to know just the right thing to say 🥹
Just breaking off to thank our Declutterati family for making this such a friendly & supportive thread 🥹 Cwtches 🤗
mehefin, a horrible situation for the school but it lifted my spirits to hear that community spirit is alive and well 🥹
Florenceem, good luck with your listings 🍀 With the amount of work you are doing it sounds like the SROD will soon be a haven for you to resume your crafting 😊 Sounds like the community nurses haven’t quite got their act together 🤨 Surely they should a) turn up when actually arranged & b) phone first rather than just turn up unannounced. Having said that, they are probably very busy & overworked 😞
vulpix, lovely supportive post 🥹 Excellent work completing a frog 👏 & thanks for This timely reminder “…. oiled the kitchen work tops. I want to clean the outside door thresholds today. These type of things don't actually take long and aren't actually essential but I want to keep the house looking as good as it can.” Shame about the TV but This “I don't watch a lot of TV but Mr V does. In fact when we met I didn't have a TV at all, he was horrified!” had me in stitches 🤣 Are you still knitting baby jumpers? Perhaps the one for Dobber 😉
Excellent decluttering to the Tip, Soontobeoap 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way. Re This “We unloaded the rubbish bags followed by the mattress! "No Sir" says the man. " Needs to go down there" pointing to entrance. I suggest we walk it down as getting it in the car a second time might be quite a challenge. No couldn't do that as dangerous so had to get it back into car and drive it round again. I was in hysterics by this time. DH didn't see the funny side!” It would have been the other way round in my case - DH would have been in hysterics & I would have been annoyed 😞 Of course being in hysterics is definitely the healthier option 😂
Excellent decluttering -taff 👏 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ on the basis that it took you 30 minutes to unload the car at the Tip rather than your usual 5 minutes so there must have been a tonne of stuff 😊 Brilliant work decluttering your clothing 👏 I beg to differ about This comment “There is also a bag of doesnt fit me but I won't get rid of just yet [ most of it is on the cusp of fitting] so that's a fail……” definitely NOT a fail 😊
Excellent decluttering Wednesday2000 👏 Two full bags for the CS 🥳 is worthy of a medal 🏅 especially as I ‘remember’* that you are on Maintenance Decluttering (*I consulted my notes 😂) Hope you have a lovely time at brunch/lunch 😊
I am giving myself a pat on the back as I have caught up with the cheerleading 😊 Although having said that I now have no ‘reason’ to avoid decluttering 😂 Just received two calls - first was DH letting me know he was on his way home from his walk & asking me to warm up the hm soup (he left about noon) & the second was from the very nice man at Boots opticians telling me my glasses are ready for collection. As they are open on Sunday, I will probably go then as I am hoping it will be less busy 🤞DH just got home 14:15.
I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 😊 Cwtches 🤗
P.S. My flowers are now in a vase & the packaging has been disposed of + 2 cardboard boxes have been recycled - nos. 336 - 338

Thanks for the cheerleading MrsS_D and thanks for the mentions cheerfulness and sqwiffy. The migraine went but I had that vague "hangover" feeling the day after. I'm OK now 😊
I had an appointment with my son yesterday to sort out his wardrobe, back of the door, floor and anywhere else he was keeping clothes. The results were 5 items to the bin and 25 items to be donated as they were either too small or too baggy. I was going to take them to the charity shop but I think I will drop the bin bag at the mission in town as they help with homeless people. There are a couple of coats and some jumpers in the bag that might help someone stay a bit warmer while it's so cold.
I decluttered my target 5 things this morning and that will probably be it for today as I'm helping ds with one of his assignments and making bag straps for my granny square crochet bag.
@Mehefin well done on being so quick to offer your help to the school. Those poor children must have been freezing cold. It's good to know that the kiddies on free meals won't be missing out because the library has been able to offer help.

Mrs SD - yes the physio will visit us. Beautiful flowers.
The nurse didn't turn up and the afternoon is nearly over.
I have a sale on V so a parcel to wrap.
I have started to unbox and set up my new sewing machine - at last. It is a big, heavy beast of a machine - very pleased so far.
I have decluttered some items today and got lots of photos to list stuff this evening.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
