sqwiffy said:@Florenceem - why did you hate that sewing machine? Sorry if i missed earlier posts about it. And are you giving up sewing if you're selling another one? I like sewing, making clothes with my best friend mostly but haven't had much time for it for a while. We had big plans to spend more time together when she retired in October but our first day out together got cancelled as I got the call about my DM.@GrannyKate - well done for coping with all those work men or women messing up your place ! And poor Sox !@Wednesday2000 - What's a chazzer please? I think I'm going to get rid of ornaments that I keep because they were gifts but I don't like them and just keep the ones that I collected and like enough to bother dusting.@weenancyinAmerica- You sound very kind but it seems that the only thing you need to declutter are some housemates unless they can agree to follow some clear space boundaries maybe, imho !Thoroughly enjoying an evening with my DH. Found a photo of Aussie, he had different markings on each side of his face, so cute.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Florenceem, pleased to hear that you survived your trip into the large ROD 👏 Good luck with your listings 🍀
Brie, This “Shocked my art class yesterday as my bangs were tickling my one eye lid and I declared I couldn't work under such conditions. The tutor offered to go into her house and get some hair putty or something but instead I just grabbed a pair of 12 inch long scissors and snipped a bit off as they all rather shrieked in horror.” I love it as it appeals to my wicked side 😈
GrannyKate, yippee to the windows being finished 🥳 but yikes to the plasterer making a mess 😧 Welcome to the ‘very fortunate club’ I also have a ‘lovely plumber’ 😊 Yes, I did give you a gold star 😊 What a trooper Sir Sox is - helping out with the decluttering 😉 Hope the fencer turned up & has done a good job 🤞
Wednesday2000, great decluttering especially the ‘dressing pieces’ you bought when you were considering selling your house 👏
weenancy, very pleased to hear that the Mormon missionaries will be lending a hand with the utility room decluttering 😊 Now I will start sending ‘thought waves’ to encourage ALL your roommates to properly contribute time & energy to the decluttering task 😉 Fingers crossed that the rain you are forecast doesn’t cause any more problems 🤞🤞
Now, now wishus - remember Every item decluttered is a win 👏
Dizzycap, This “I almost did exactly the same when I was decluttering….I was ok until I got to the last room which was the lounge and I suddenly felt really exposed by not being surrounded by unused/unwanted/old etc clutter, so I really had to change my mind set. I went through the lounge and thought is there any other room in the house a certain item would look better before I move it on? So I ended up house shopping in my own house and came up with some great ideas to add more warmth to a room with 1 or 2 items nicely placed. It felt as though I'd actually gone out shopping and I also wrote down what I might pay for each item I already had, a receipt, and uncluttingly rehomed in the house, as well as moving items along too! It's the same with clothes, jewellery etc I go through the clothes that remain and come up with new combi ideas, throw on a piece of jewellery, feel fantastic, and go and empty the bin outside, potter in the garden, or go out for a walk etc - even if I do it for a few days a month 😉😆 It all stops me 'comfort' spending ❤️ ” Is Brilliant especially the underline part 🥳 Excellent decluttering 👏 Loving the continuing tales of babyface 1 & 2 😊 Perhaps you should start a new business “Daxie Training” I think you could give Graeme Hall a run for his money (Dogs Behaving Very Badly) 😉
Excellent work in the spare room Soontobeoap 👏 A very considerate decision not to paint especially as the GC are coming to stay 🥹 If the mattress doesn’t fit in the car, would it be possible to put it on the roof of the car 🤔
Lovely cheerleading sqwiffy 😊 & what a gorgeous picture of Aussie 😍
Dinner tonight is sausages, mash, baked beans & plum tomatoes.

Daisy that book sounds amazing!
Sleep still Mis-behaving….. I looked up the side effects of my declotting jabs and although fatigue isn’t one, I kind of figured that coupled with allllllll the other medication I’m on and the fact it has to work hard - no wonder I’m tired. Brain is overthinking too much so there was some swearing and tears this week….all part of for the course I’m sure!
I have learnt the triple stitch!!!!! Go me!!!!!!! And I think I know where I was going wrong - I have watched too many utube videos and they all have different turning and chain stitches for new rows…..I am sticking with just the one person now so fingers crossed I’ll get there!
I also know what I actually want to crochet - those cute little animal things but more gothic and dragons ❤️ nowhere near that stage yet.
I did make a pompom today and again, almost lost the ball of yarn to dog1……her face lit up at the pompom itself so I had to rapidly hide it…..dog2 has been stuck to me like Velcro since the hospital…….they know don’t they!Decluttering…….um…….some really lovely lemon biscuits!

Hi all, well I don't know what is the matter with me this week, I just can't seem to get going, fell asleep after lunch for over an hour!! Will have to give myself a proper talking to at some point 😂😂😂. Today I had a message on my phone about too much stuff so deleted over 100 bits of carp from it, photos and messages that were so old. 3 LDFPA and 2 loads through the machine. Called in to see ln who is now definitely on the mend but not yet up to her usual busy schedule of keep fit and dancing 😁. Heard neighbour over the road has passed away and somehow I have been asked to help track down people to invite to the funeral as his db lives in Stoke and doesn't know people's phone numbers. I have asked a few people if they know these people but had no luck and I am afraid I have no idea who they are 🙅. Also a union thing landed today that I will have to deal with tomorrow.
I am falling asleep again so I will send hugs to anybody who would like one and say goodnight
217 stuff from my phone
218 - 220 LDFPA
Take care everyone

@Muddy_walker - Well done in achieving that stitch. I learnt to crochet so I could make an amogori animal I saw at a knitting and stitching show. He didn't quite look like he should but it got me started. Funnily enough, my DD2has become quite a brilliant crocheter after I showed her how to start. She's much better than I ever was.@Vulpix - Of course you've lost your mojo. You're getting over a cold. You will always have stuff to do. Time to give yourself a break!@Daisy - Your comments always strike a cord/get me thinking - thank you.@Cranky40 -Hope those migraines have stopped. I get those sort too.@Florenceeem - 6 machines! No wonder you are getting rid of a couple. I can't imagine why since you seem to be able to get one's these days that practically make things for you
. My bestie has a regular one that has lots of different stitches and a heavy duty one for things like denim plus an overlocker. I thought that'd be the most you could need? I bought my last one because it was meant to thread the needle but it's a bit touch and go so I still have to use a threader with my old eyes but I gave my older machine away to a sewing group I volunteer with. Mr F seems to be making good progress, thanks to you administrations and love.
@Liverpool Anne - You're another one who is having unrealistic expectations of yourself! You're always on the go but sometimes your body will say "No, give me a break" and if you don't listen, it has to take over. So listen to it and rest a bit more until you're fully recharged. You are all helping me so much. I want to thank you for your inspiration, thoughts, ideas and words. I feel that it's all going to be okay in the end with you all behind me. If I'm not able to do it today for whatever reason, you'll all be there for when I start again and even if I'm only doing one thing, it's one less in the house ( providing that I don't bring more stuff in than goes out of course).I decluttered my cutlery drawer today. My kitchen is starting to look a bit clearer. We have a table we can invite people to sit for a meal at with us. I still have a small pile on the island left to go through then I can start on the dresser and open shelves but I'm kind of avoiding the room as it's where the bird cage was. It's a bit like when you take your Christmas tree down. It's tidier but feels empty.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.17 -

Grimms a fabulous series Mrs sd, must put that on our list of series to watch again, thank you for reminding me
Sqwiffy what a lovely post, thank you. Thats understandable about the kitchen, I hated when we went from a row of 3 cat bowls down to 2 but sadly you do get used to whatever the new normal is so I'm sure in time you will too. Could you get a lovely photo or canvas of aussie and hang it in there to say hello to? Either a little 6x4 print or a larger one. I have many photos and drawings and canvas' of our animals around the house and it helps. I got a couple of tshirts from these places that build up a picture from their stock items, pick the pet, pick the human - the build, the hair colour etc and I stretched it over a cheap canvas from h@bbyc@ft stapling it at the back, I wonder if they do birds? They certainly have a wide range of cats and dogs and im sure one of them had other types of pets. The tshirts were at that point cheaper than a picture so best of both worlds.
Ooh, check the time - gotta getvon!

Well all I seem to be decluttering at the moment is an inordinate amount of time. Our primary school caught fire on Wednesday after work on the roof went disastrously wrong. 2 classrooms and the ICT suite completely gone, massive smoke and water damage etc.etc. We opened up our community library urgently as a safe space and had about 11 children and 13 adults come in. They were frozen as they had been stood outside in the cold in what they were wearing when the alarm went off. Fortunately there were no injuries and everyone is safe albeit shook up. The library is a designated 'warm space' so we able to help and give out hot drinks etc. Hot chocolate was a firm favourite!
Since then I have been in contact with an awful lot of people from the authorities, and it looks like our library will be used as a collection point for packed lunches for children entitled to Free School Meals from Monday next . How long for is unknown at the moment as the damage to school is still being assessed and the place is swarming with contractors etc.
We were just glad to be able to help out, and it doesn't do the library any harm either as it is surprising how many people still don't know where we are!!
Other than that its been more bags of ivy and more of Dawn's clothes.
Take care all. Mehefin23
