Sqwiffy so sorry to hear about Aussie
our little friends worm their way into our hearts and leave large holes when they go
Florenceem I hope things continue to improve with Mr F
I dropped bags off at the CS for a friend and realised I had left mine at home 🙄 I'll sort out the books and take them to volunteering on Saturday. I've sorted some items to give away on FB free cycle I just need to post them but not all at once as I get confused on who's collecting what and I would prefer not to leave items on the doorstep. I do need them out of the dining roomI now have a tidy larger spare room but I want to sort downstairs out so may have to move stuff upstairs to do that and then sort through it from there, but wondering if that is a double effort 🤨 I will feel better having visitors if downstairs was more organisedI've spent the afternoon on a large financial frog and just need to make some final decisions as I'm dithering on an important decision. Once sorted I want to add details to the folder with my will etc although I've no plans to go anywhere just yet i want to create a 'death book' and let family know where it is. Then I'm going to organise my LPAs doing them myself on line (being MSE) before I discuss with my sister and probably my youngest nephew as my sister really doesn't like to talk about death 'stuff' she doesn't quite put her fingers in her ears and hum but almost! As a single person with no children I'm keen to get more organisedLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin17 -
@Florenceem continuing to send hugs and sounds as Mr F is much better at home than he was in the hospital.
About to make my coffee early this morning and reached up for something knocking something on to it and it smashed - luckily only coffee and not the hot water in it! think I didn't include 2 electrical items in the recycling earlier this week so adding, 3 v out of date cans of alcohol disposed of, 2 jars I might have kept for donation hub (they collect to help distribute food), and 2 household items.
Had hoped more would be out including furniture so easier to empty DD2 room for decorator but have worked out where I can move one of her bookcases. So working at home tomorrow so hope to do something before/after.
Other big frogs not tackled but sorted DD1 broadband and mobile large charges - one wiped off and the other reduced.

I’ve haven’t managed very much physical decluttering but I have managed to sort out a couple of huge frogs. I’ve finally got all the paperwork to the solicitor for the sale of the house, having to find electrical certificates and the like for any work completed since 1st January 2005 (!) has meant that I have had to go through pretty much every piece of paperwork we own. So whilst I haven’t filed it all away properly it is at least with like things in various box files, to come back to when I have some time. I’ve filled nearly a whole sack for shredding but won’t account for it yet until it is out of the house. But moving in the right direction, although I have found another cupboard with a significant amount of paperwork in it, I swear it is multiplying when I’m not looking!! I’ve started to open any post on the day that it comes in to try and make sure that we are more on the ball in future.
Having dealt with the solicitors for the meantime, I’ve been able to start sorting out DD’s EHCP application which, if I’m honest, I’ve been putting off as I know how horrible it is going to be, having done it in 2023 for DS1. I’ve a meeting with the school tomorrow and hopefully we can then get moving and get the application made, although I’m under no illusions that it will be sorted for when she needs to apply for secondary school in September.
And to restore the balance of the universe, I lost something I’d sold on Vinted, it’s been packed up in one of the moving boxes and I can’t find it, so I’ve had to cancel the order and refund the buyer. They were very understanding about it but I prefer not to do things like that.
I’d hoped to declutter on Saturday but I’m now working and we are busy on Sunday, so it will have to wait for another weekend.
I’ve decluttered a chunk of money for the car to be serviced and Mot’d but since we are now doing 50 miles a day to get DS1 to school and back, it felt very necessary.
I started some new medication this week, so I’ve decluttered a frightening amount of cake and strangely, porridge. Last time I took these tablets for six weeks, I put on a stone and a half, so I’m not hopeful. Although it means I can declutter some trousers as I won’t be able to do any of them up!!
Love to you all xxx

Hi all, reasonable day today. Kitchen bin, and lr bin again, I keep filling it with carp picked out of OH's piles. OH doesn't seem to notice 😂😂. 1 LDFPA, Christmas cards finally sorted, they have been in a pile since I took them down but now sorted into bits to keep for reuse, bits to use for shopping lists and the rest into the recycling. The bits I am keeping are in a small box with the wrapping paper etc. I did 2 sessions of ironing, this system seems to be really working for me as I don't look at the pile and just turn away 😂 I can say the alarm will soon go off, just do it 😂. While rummaging in a cupboard to check food stocks found a packet of couscous ood in 2019, oops, binned. Popped in to see ln as she hasn't been going out as she is full of cold but we had a coffee and a catch up and she says she's on the mend. Also popped out to fill up the petrol in the car as a local garage had a 12 hour sale, down from 1.39.9 to 1.10.9 per litre. They don't advertise but they do this every once in a while and the word is spread by the driving instructors and the taxi drivers 😁, as it is very local it is worth sitting in the queue for 10 mins to fill up 😁.
@Mrs SD, forgot to say thank you for my medal 😁, although I am reading all the posts my brain isn't always awake enough to remember everything 😂. 2 more sleeps until my b12 jab and I should be a bit better 😂.
@Crazycatlady2 I have heard of amazon doing things like that, a friend bought a very expensive electrical item that arrived with a slight scratch on it, they asked for a replacement and to have the original picked up. The replacement was sent but they said keep the first one as well, they promptly sold it and made up over half of the cost of the item 😁
@QueenJess I'd say bring the bulbs into the house now as they are shooting and put them somewhere with some light and give them a little water 😁.
@Blue_Doggy do you put the cheese rinds in the soup? I must admit I have never heard of this but then again I don't usually put cheese in soup and generally the rinds get eaten before they could make it to the freezer 😂
@Brambling I think a death book is an excellent idea and something I need to do
@StickyTheStickInsect doesn't the school sort out EHCPs? As a teacher in a special school, now retired, it was part of my job to do these, and yes they do take ages, good luck with that
I had more I was going to say but my brain has shut down 😂 so I will head to bed
Hugs to everyone who would like one
166 kitchen bin
167 lr bin
168 LDFPA
169 & 170 ironing

Mrs SD thank you for my medal.
A bit slower yesterday but still managed to find one item for CS and some metal for recycling. Wrote some (outstanding from November) notes into my notebook and will double check them today as was tired when did it.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅15 -
@Florenceem the last thing you and the hospital want is a failed discharge (they don't like them) chase, chase, chase them social workers and get the vouchers/placement for rehab/respite. As suggested by someone else here is there anybody who can help support you when having meetings (unplanned or not) with the hospital that could be available on the phone if need be during the meeting. There should be some plan starting to come together of what is needed for a care plan. Do not let them deliver any equipment into the house you do not require as it will be left there (not their problem is the response) The type of bed will need clarifying too. The longer that takes to get into position the better as he can't be discharged and left upstairs or have been known patients to be left down stairs in a chair.
You will also need a break before he gets home.
Take care
Yesterday I managed to declutter some bits of food from the freezer that are not doing my health any good. (needing to get weight shifted) as I hate food waste I made it suitable to feed the birds
I finally dropped off a charity bag, bag of plastic and collected my coat from the cleaners been there 6 weeksjust shows I only go when I really need to. Did a small shop was to be 3 items and turned into 24...
Promoted a tee shirt to do another few jobs by cutting it up.
DH cleaned all the house(bungalow) yesterday whilst I was out
2 scratters xx
P.S
I'm sending this now so as not to waste it.
Anything is better than nothing-check back and see

Good afternoon! Just wanted to pop on and say how well you're all doing. I'm reading along but nothing has left the house yet this week to be able to post anything. Sending hugs to those that need them x
Energy levels are still very low and DH has been ill (full of cold) so in between a few appointments all we have done all week is declutter 2 series of From and I decluttered another year. I did finally manage to fix the printer after a week of constant printing and cleaning it.
I've messaged the church and they do want the uniform so will drop it off Monday when I can go in the car as its 2 bin bags full.
If I don't feel any better next week or at least come down with the bug DH has had, that'd explain the feeling rubbish. I'll make a doctors appointment next week to check my iron levels.
Hope you all have a good weekend!LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

DSis and I have made a foray into the ‘doing shed’ aka The Bottom Shed which had become a little ‘distraught and dishevelled’. It’s now looking much better and tidier. DBro2 had been in there and yanked stuff out (grrrrr) .We were planning to look at the ‘storage shed’ aka The Top Shed but that needs a rearrange and as the garden is currently very clay-y due to the rain we decided that discretion was the better part of valour and retreated to make toasties instead.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

2Scratters - Mr F is home and sleeping in our bed. He manages the stairs as we have rails both sides - just goes really slowly.
He comes down in the morning - has his breakfast in bed and after I have done the cleaning.
I popped to SA first thing this morning with bags for the food bank.
Been to both charity shops today so 2 trolley and bags full out of the house.
I did get the local paper so that was an in - but it is a temporary one.
Wet day here.
I plan to go out again to the charity shop and to call in the community shop plus SA on the way home.
Mr F's slippers are arriving tomorrow.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
