I've managed to avoid paying any BT fees on my ~£11k stooze pot. This does mean slightly more frequent BTs though and a limited choice of providers. I would agree it was better pre-gfc, especially if you factor in cashback on 0% purchase cards.surreysaver said:
There has been a better time to stooze - about 20 years ago, before the financial crisis. Higher rates in ISAs and lower balance transfer fees than there are nowwhere_are_we said:
I have been slow stoozing with 0% purchases zero fee credit cards for many years. Then when the offer expires I use a 0% zero fee balance transfer to extend further the "free money" time when I am making more than 5% in RS`s. With high interest rates over the last couple of years there has never been a better time to stooze. My stoozing is up to about £20k.clairec666 said:
Yes, but only recently, as I was brought up with the mindset that credit card = bad.s71hj said:Out of interest, how many people on here utilise 0% credit cards to support their regular saver.... habit like I do.
I can now use them safe in the knowledge that I have the savings to cover paying them off.
But only do this if you have the capital to pay off the debt completely before any 0% offer runs out and you have the discipline to adhere to all the T&C`s. Consult the credit card forum on stoozing for further information.1 -
Yep, wanted to add Adcock to a different current account a week or so ago but no match, either with old or adjusted new details. Guessing it's part of a wider issue and that's why they haven't relaunched any Regular Savers yet.dcs34 said:Melton BS
Anyone having issues getting confirmation of payee matches? I've paid one account, but when setting up the payment for the second it thinks I'm paying to a personal HSBC account.0 -

I found that you have to quote all of your names including middle, then I had a successful COP.2 -
Think I'm sorted for this month, decided to put £1000 into Monmouthshire 7%, £400 into Club Lloyds 6.25%(as I couldn't fund all my Principality) & £250 into Virgin 6.5%, rest of money into topping up my Edge Saver.
Also funded my Saffron Members Month & COOP as usual.
Was hoping to get a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL 1TB on Google Store but they seem to be out of stock due to Black Friday etc😌, I have store credit to use up too, I also want a charging dock they have on the site but they've never even stocked it.0
