Hanley, existing customer already with login ID
Applied, received the email confirming account open while the "processing" message showed. That "processing" message didn't clear, so logged out and back in. Account showed up.
They have their own sort code but it looks like it's a "wait for 24 hours" until COP works0 -
Just been on the phone to the Hanley.clivep said:Hanley EBSWhat's the position regarding electronic payments in? Do they have to be from the nominated a/c?The general t's & c's say "If money is to be paid into your account by Electronic Payment, you or the payer sending the payment to you, will need to provide the unique identifier". So, payments in don't have to be from your nominated a/c or even an a/c in your name. However, on the application when you've selected initial payment by electronic transfer, it specifies payment from YOUR a/c.Deposits can be from any bank account, not just the nominated one.Digital Payback

Your account reference is the application reference shown on the final screen saying ‘thank you’.jameseonline said:mhoc said:Hanley - I had really bad issues getting the verification code but eventually it came through and I've funded.
I got the welcome email with the sort code etc but it does not actually give the Hanley account reference number for me to set up the standing order so I will ring them a bit later - I like to tick all boxes from day one
Please can I ask is there an app or is it just the online webpage?
We were looking forward to a little drive to Stone this morning so thats saved a job

Credit to Hanley, they've changed the "Is this Product right for me?" section to correctly reflect that it's an online account.1

Not for me. Applied this morning, got email “application saved successfully” but the account is not opened. I’ve tried as an existing customer too, no luck with that either.subjecttocontract said:Hanley EBS......I applied as a new customer. Found it dead easy, filled the form online, account opened quickly, just got to wait for a used ID in the post. One of the easiest accounts to open. Well pleased.
Did you try the 'Complete your application' link in the email?allegro120 said:

The instructions I got were that your can use the application reference for your initial deposit. The letter you receive with your log in ID will include your account details. What's the rush, your account is open sit back and relax.Aidanmc said:

I would imagine that the rush is that they are likely a 1 year from application and not a 1 year from first deposit society. However so long as the deposit gets there in time to count for October, the loss will be minimal.subjecttocontract said:

I've just spoke to them. They confirmed you should use the application reference number (starts with 3 zeros) for your first payment.Aidanmc said:
