Apologies, you have not had too much whisky, it was me who got the date wrong. The Leeds BS interest rate cuts for the listed accounts is indeed 27th June. I shall delete the offending post and amend my lists.Andystriker said:Bridlington1 said:Just a reminder the Leeds BS interest rate cuts come into effect tomorrow:Account Old rate New rate Date Leeds BS Home Deposit Saver Issues 1 & 2 4.90% 4.80% 23/06/2025 Leeds BS Regular Saver (Issues 43, 44, 45, 46, 47,

No. Unlike Halifax, BoS and Lloyds don't roll over their RSs.shirley999 said:Also note, where I’ve in the past paid into Halifax in the final month, I’ve then been unable to fund the new regular saver for that first month. I’d guess others in that banking family might operate in a similar fashion.
Halifax.
If you want to make 2 payments in the final month you can close your existing RS and open a new one.2 -

Hoping that WB BS will have a new Fixed Rate RS with online opening as I'm sure they must realise that many savers will be having maturing RS next month and won't be going to a branch to open a new RS. However, I won't hold my breath!Bridlington1 said:

I think the trend is back to branch with West Brom. My RS matured on Friday, so I phoned today to pull the money out of the Access RS, all very efficiently processed over the phone and I should have the money tomorrow.Dizzycap said:

Why many savers next month? Mine matures on 2nd January. I opened my first issue 7 on 22nd December 2023 (I normally open RSs on the date they are launched), took 6 working days to get a new one opened - those who followed a similar pattern should be half way through the term now.Dizzycap said:

If they stop/pause online applications it will most likely be because at the moment they have enough funds to lend.
I won't hold my breath, but always make sure that I have an existing account of some sort. Makes it easier to open new accounts and continuous membership might become useful one day.0 -
I think so too! Although I have another account open in case it should change at some point.masonic said:

Zopa have updated their Regular Saver which now pays 7.1% (variable) on upto £300/month for new accounts.
You still need a Zopa current account to get one but that is now out of beta so anyone can apply for one.1
