Am I just lucky, I've been using it for a long time and it's never let me down as yet. And personally having to move almost 8k around each month with RS's I'm all for an easy life. But I understand it's a pain if it's gone wrong for someone.surreysaver said:

Why not just use the auto save facility it's so simple and will pay money directly into your regular saver.ForumUser7 said:Funding Zopa
I'm still confused tbh. If I pay into the account details Zopa shows for savings, does that then go to the access account and then I can transfer internally into the RS? I.e. the RS itself has no sort code and account number? ThanksI choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1 -
Halifax Regular Saver does not require a current account to be held. There must've been a different reason your switch failed.clairec666 said:I'm trying to work out which banks allow you to close your current account but keep the regular saver open (for the purpose of getting switching bonuses!)
I've already successfully done this with Virgin, but couldn't do it with Halifax (they refused the switch out).
RBS's T&Cs say you can close the current account but will then only be able to withdraw from your regular saver in branch.
Anyone managed to do this with any other providers? Particularly TSB or Cooperative?0 -
My autosave into Zopa has been working as designed, no issues. If it didn't, I would take the opportunity to complain to Zopasurreysaver said:

Thanks - I successfully switched out after the regular saver matured, no feedback about why the initial switch failed but I assumed it was because the regular saver was still openWillPS said:

Is it about issue 2? I've closed it, but I still have EARS issue 1 which will reduce to 4.15% on 26th June. I wonder why they don't do them all on the same date.chris_the_bee said:

My application was with the original 'Refer a Friend Saver' which couldn't be opened due to Saffron apparently not having my contact details, when they had. I didn't bother chasing it up and left it. I recevined an email a couple of days ago followed by a same day phone call to say they were happy to open an account for me, which they did & was funded within 2 minutes. Today I received an email to say I could still refer a friend to receive a £15 book voucher, but it wasn't obligatory to having & holding the 8% RS account.ForumUser7 said:
Do you know whether they gave you the 'Refer a Friend Saver' or the 'Member's Month Loyalty Saver'? I'm struggling to understand what is meant by 'without the refer a friend bunk' - whether this means it was the one that didn't require referrals, or whether they waived the referral requirement.Dizzycap said:
After applying for the Saffron 8% RS without the refer a friend bunk, Saffron stated they didn't have my phone number or email addy, which I know they have because I have another account with them and it was also included in the application - I didn't bother faffing about to chase it up! Today I receive both an email & phone call from Saffron and they were only too happy to open the 8% RS as an existing customer without the refer a friend bunk. Opened and funded witin 2 minutes.Section62 said:SaffronJust had an email from Saffron - which initially looked a bit scammy - that included a "Refer a Friend link" I've been invited to send to an eligible friend to eventually get a £15 book token.Of note, the email clearly states "Your friend must be a new saffron customer to be eligible to open the account. Existing members do not qualify." Natwest Digital Regular Saver
RBS Digital Regular Saver
Just a note of caution for those withdrawing and replacing funds from these accounts within a calendar month - (there've been posts on this thread about it being tolerated despite being against the accounts' terms).
I had £5000 in both these accounts. During the month of May, I withdrew £4999 from both accounts, leaving a £1 balance with the intention of replacing the funds before the end of the month.
For the NatWest account, I repaid the £4999 on Friday 30th May - and that was accepted.
For the RBS account, I repaid £4600 on Friday 30th May and £399 on Saturday 31st May.
The final £399 payment, because it was paid on the weekend, has been counted as a June payment and for some reason this has caused the account to reject all payments paid into the account in BOTH May and June, and I've had the balance reduced to £151 + beginning of June interest.12 -
My First Direct RS matures tomorrow (Sunday 22nd) but has disappeared completely today (Saturday 21st) so looks like maturity process has begun. Guessing I’ll see the funds early next week?0

That's right.
You should also be able to apply for your next one now, should you want one.1 -

If you left the old savings account open that it matured into last year the money should be there tomorrow.1
