Opened an Everyday Saver yesterday afternoon to get all the tedious ID stuff out of the way. Sent £10 to it overriding COP and it's showing up this morning. No problem opening the RS when it appeared.
It matures 10 months from opening. Payments into the account are calendar month, so in theory it will take an 11th payment. Can't see anything saying maximum of £16000 -
COP worked for me straight away!Kim_13 said:Wished I had taken a screenshot for about 15 minutes when it said you will get your account number soon, but I have now had an email confirmation and account shows in app. I will fund tomorrow when COP works as I entered £160 for initial funding amount. The email says I have 14 days so I am just happy to have secured the account.
There’s no point sending to an existing Furness account that passes COP given the delay in the payment showing. I opted not to do so last week in case online availability never happened.
It wasn’t the smoothest even as an existing customer, took a few times to recognise that I had read the summary box. Very glad that I opened the EA to become an existing customer as the website is obviously struggling with demand at the moment.1 -
I followed this and successfully applied, now waiting for an email confirmation.frosty12345 said:
I am fully aware that I shouldn't be following links posted by anonymous posters (myself included) so I suggest you do so at your own risk.
The fact that this appears to be the only way to apply as a NEW customer is somewhat ridiculous from my perspective. I just hope that my experience was an isolated one and not for ALL new customers.0 -
Finally got the app to work, went thru verification, then "Unfortunately we're not able to open an account for you at this time".0

Well that was simple & easy, straight on, account applied for and confirmation email just landed
I did open a Triple Access acc last week so I was a known entity to them
I was expecting a lot worse, after the saga that many had with MonBS
Very impresses
Lets see if their system keeps up, I hope it does
Good luck folks0 -
Ditto. Never had an account with instant COP before!csw5780 said:

CricketLady said:Mine took seconds to open (existing customer of two years) but I was interested to note that the details state maturity will be ten months from opening, I had expected (I don't know why?!) the maturity date to be 31st October so maybe that was for postal applications?
Anyway having put £160 into my easy access account last night I was able to fund the new RS with an internal transfer just now.
Have a good day everyone!
xxBoth FBS postal & online 160 Anniversary RS do have the same maturity date of 31st October - Another 10 month RS as all the latest new ones seem to be. I hope it's not going to become a trend
Overall, you really can't complain

Just tried, but CoP failed for me, no great worries, the acc is showing on the web, so it's in the bag, will try again later today.s71hj said:Ditto. Never had an account with instant COP before!0 -
Opened and funded £160 by internal transfer.
Pretty painless, took 2 mins.0
