    FurnessBS 160 Year Anniversary RS
There should be a new RS released on 20/1/26, 6.75%A, £160 monthly, with 10 month duration. Named '160 Year Anniversary RS'. Information seemed to be definite, but may be subject to change.

Will this be available  to all or just current members? If you know.
I didn't ask and person didn't say. I expected the usual response, but person was forthcoming. I was asking about maturity options for a Xmas RS Issue 2 and if there would be another RS.  I didn't ask and wasn't told if there would be any other restrictions like postal/branch applications or post code restrictions. To be fair to Furness BS though, they seem be embracing online solutions more recently.
If you're not already a member, there are a couple of accounts you can open online with a min bal of £1 :
    Furness

Thanks applied for triple access as new customer all opened and funded with £1

I've funded with £2 so I can send £1 back to check all is in order!
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Applied for the same, awaiting email with account details. Email verification was very quick but taking its time now.

Unlikely to worry anyone but FYI.

A recent error led Leeds BS to look closer at my RSs.

In a subsequent letter I was asked to contact them re the number reg savers I have.

In the conversation, I argued that the terms suggest that holding multiple different issues is legitimate?

Plus Leeds had allowed them to be opened and regularly funded for quite some time.

It was an amicable conversation, because after their latest round of reductions, their rates are relatively rubbish.

After their  'due consideration' they intend to close all but the oldest one.

Have Leeds BS changed their T&C's recently with the latest RS issue?
However, it would explain why Leeds have now closed all but your oldest RS, if they've decided to adopt a new policy which would be unfair if previous eligibilty criteria did not stipulate the highlighted.

Sounds unreasonable and that you might have good grounds for a complaint.  Did they explain what the error was, what caused it and whose fault it was ?
Could be they are looking at people with several RS and are picking up on a hidden feature of their website - kind of an ability to travel back in time. Not that I'm saying you did that.
I had 5 RS with them and closed them all down this week.  Nothing mentioned in phone calls and I've made several, all to different LeedsBS people, in the past two weeks.

If terms have been changed, then while the new issue would be closed if the customer had a previous one, they would surely have to allow all legitimate older accounts to run to term if that clause was not agreed to in respect of the older accounts. That would be akin to Skipton closing the RS Issue 1s held by Member RS Issue 4 customers. They didn’t of course, and launched Issue 2 and 5 with the changed terms.

    Leeds:

It's reasonable for them to enforce the terms.

The terms quoted @Dizzycap above are the same as on RS Iss51 (Mar '25) which is the oldest I've got, and all the subsequent ones.

I'm sanguine about it; they've been quite equitable.
