    Good morning guys
I just realised I didn’t check in yesterday but it was probably a good idea anyway cos I was gloomy. I didn’t get the job so I’ll just plod on and see what happens. I’ve requested that I go down to 3 days so we’ll see what happens there.
In the meantime I’m going all out to get rid of the credit card and then get the holiday balance paid off. It’s not an expensive holiday, we’re going to a caravan in France in June. Just wine, cheese and bbq
Anyway I better get ready for work
    Hugs

    Hi guys
Today has been a chilly but ok day. Plenty of customers as it’s the start of half term here so time passed quite quickly and then cottage pie for tea, OH makes a very nice cottage pie.
Now for an evening in front of the telly and an early night.

Sorry to hear you didn’t get the job ☹️ Oh well, onwards and upwards. France, cheese, wine and BBQ holiday sounds great.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    Good morning guys

Thanks Sun_Addict, it does, I like France, we used to go every year, started with the tent with a small cooker and lighting and graduated up to a static caravan. Now we’re on the next generation we’ve started going again. The channel tunnel makes it so much easier too.
Today at work then two days off. We’ve got a play date with out DGD tomorrow while DIL gets a bit of time on her own. Everything takes longer with a toddler attached.
Done my PAD and I’m not planning on spending today so the money is lasting quite well this month. So yes onwards and upwards.
Hugs to those who need one

    Hi guys
Just checking in. Yesterday was a lovely day playing with DGD, she’s growing up so fast.
Today was a treat day. We got a gift voucher for our favourite garden centre that does lovely food as an Xmas present so had lunch out 😋 and it only cost me £3.
Also I’m down to13 stone exactly when I weighed in this morning so that’s progress. We’re not dieting as such, just cutting back on sweets, biscuits and takeaways. Smaller portions too and not eating if not hungry. We’ve always had three meals a day and snacks and none of us need that any more, being older means you move less and the pounds have been piling on. If we want a meal out or a sweet we have so it we don’t feel deprived, but because we’re not following a rigid diet don’t seem to feel the need.
It’s a bonus that the food budget lasts better too.
    Anyway time to go
    Hugs guys

    Good morning guys
Day off today and it’s blowing a gale so I won’t be going anywhere.
Slow cooker lasagne in, it might be a bit gooey though cos I missed a layer of lasagne sheets ( but it will taste fab anyway) This should do today and tomorrow. Also a loaf merrily kneading in the bread maker so I’m being a domestic goddess today 😇
Job wise it looks like I’m going to be able to go down to 3 days and a set rota so I’ll do 3 on 4 off rather than longer days in a row. So I won’t be as tired at the end of my work weeks.

    Good morning guys
It’s my day off today and then I’m not off till the weekend so it’s going to be a lazy lazy day.
My direct boss has just texted me with the news that her boss is going to advertise for a two day person cos she wants to lose a day too so that will be better.
Leftover pizza for lunch and sausage, new potatoes and veg for tea so not much prep to do there.
We really must have a trying on session of suits, shirts, my dress etc and make sure everything fits for next months wedding. I put a reminder on the family WhatsApp and the brides father found that his suit didn’t fit ( better to find out now than a couple of days before) Also the men’s suits will need cleaning and pressing so I don’t want to leave that too late.
I’m still 100% on the PADs but declared a NSD yesterday and then needed biscuits for my volunteers so I won’t count today ( even though I’m going nowhere near any shops)
It’s absolutely beautiful here, blue sky and not too windy. Yesterday was awful and tomorrow’s supposed to be yucky, it’s just so changeable at the mo I don’t know what to wear so am putting loads of layers on and then parting with them if needed.
Hugs to those that need one

    Hi guys
Yesterday was a spendy day, I’ve ordered tights and a long slip for my dress for the wedding. Also I bought a new dress, when I tried my original dress it just wasn’t right. It just didn’t look glam enough for the mother of the groom. After stressing out for a few hours I decided to get another dress, which has now arrived and is lovely.
We also bought a small wedding present ( they’ve already had money) but I still need to get a card and wrap for the present.
As it’s payday I’ve paid the minimum balance of my CC and I’ve got my big shop coming this evening.
The wedding planning is coming on nicely with both men’s suits at the cleaners and both have white shirts orders, as last time they wore their suits they wore pink shirts at our nieces wedding.
DS1 also booked the channel tunnel for our French holiday in June so that another job done.
So it’s been a good organised day.

    Good morning guys
    Happy new month
I’ve 4 days off now so today is a potter about and do very little day.
I need to return a dress I ordered as I ordered 2 for size and we’re visiting friends this evening but apart from that the day will just plod along.
My boss let me know that her boss is adverting for a 2 day role to cover my losing a day and her losing a day. So progress. All in all I’m feeling better mentally.
First of my PADs done, just £5 into the savings and then after the wedding full frugal mode to get the credit down and the holiday balance paid. The PAD helps immensely cos I do the minimum payment when required and then small bites each day.
Anyway nothing else to tell you at the moment so see you soon

    Hi guys
    I’m still plodding along.
Today will be a lazy day and as I’m not going anywhere it will be my first NSD.
I’ve moved another £5 to the savings account, dribs and drabs but it all adds up.
Yesterday it was lovely to see our friends, we don’t see them often enough.
We needed to pop a dress back to the shopping centre as I’d ordered 2 for size and driving along the coast road the view was fabulous. We really are lucky to live where we do.
