    Good morning frugallers
Today I’ve woken needing salad. I know that may sound strange but my body tends to let me know when it’s eaten enough rubbish and wants something green.
We need milk and washing up liquid anyway so will pick some up. I have £1.50 in vouchers for milk at our local shop which run out tonight which will help a little bit.
I’ve looked in the freezer and got out some liver for tomorrow which will go with potatoes and veg. Also done a date check on the fridge, the thing that needs eating is the pate so that will be lunch ( probably for a few days ) then the fancy cheese. I’m back at work on Thursday so probably cheese and crackers for lunch a few days.
Any ideas for using up the cheese mountain in main meals would be much appreciated.
    Anyway I better get on
    Have a good day

Happy new diary, good luck with your goals in 2025.

I grate all the left over cheese and freezer, gets used up in sauces, sprinkled over pasta,on garlic bread, cheese on toast and cheese and potato pie when I want comfort food. Brie goes into chicken breasts wrapped in Palma ham.

    Hi guys
I had to spend today but as it’s not January yet I won’t count it. I needed bread, milk, frozen veg and picked up two really big packs of YS chicken breasts for £3.50 each. Easily two days meals for 3 of us in each pack. I was really happy with that as I rarely get anything in the YS section. There were more but it would have been greedy not to leave some for the other customers.
Pate and salad sandwiches for lunch as we’re using up food by the nearest date so there may be a few weird combinations over the next few days. Luckily most of the cheese has February on it so that can be spread out a little.
I go back to work Thursday just as the temperature is forecast to drop like a stone. We try to keep the shop door open as it’s quite heavy a people struggle with it so don’t bother coming in so I need to make sure I’ve plenty of layers.
We’re out for drinks with friends on New Years Day and then the real frugalling, eating healthier and losing weight starts. So please feel free to pop by and keep me company.

Good morning and happy new year
Today won’t be a NSD as we’re having lunch out with friends but I have already made my first PAD. Only £3 but it will all add up over the year.

    Hi guys
Today was positive but very chilly 🥶
I managed both a PAD and a NSD.
It was nice to be back at work and we were quite busy which is good ( I work in a CS and every penny is a bonus at the moment) and when I weighed in this morning Xmas hasn’t done as much damage as I thought.
DS2 cooked tea of sausage, scrambled egg and baked beans with ice cream for pudding. We’ve loads of food left so I shouldn’t need a big shop for a while.

Well done on doing the use by date check on your food items.  I'll do the same tomorrow and come up with some meal ideas to help avoid spending too much at the supermarket.

    Hi guys
Another £3 paid off credit card today.
Not a NSD because I spent £2.49 on 2 packets of paracetamols and a box of cup a soups for my lunch at work. Not too naughty.

Well done on the overpayment. Spend was not to bad, could have been a lot worse.

    Good morning guys
It is going to be a long cold day at work today 🥶🥶🥶
£5 PAD off my credit card and today I’d definitely going to be a NSD because all I’m going to do is go to work and then hibernate when I get home.
We’re due snow or sleet but not until this evening, so I hope it holds off.
Anyway I better get ready for work.
    Keep warm frugallers
