    Hi guys
Today hasn’t been a NSD but I am now the owner of a glamorous royal blue fascinator. I struggle to get shoes so I have a feeling I may have to wear sling backs or sandals even though the wedding is in March in Yorkshire (also only for the day do and I’m going to treat myself to a new pair of Sketchers for the dancing) I still need shoes and a bag and to pay for the accommodation. It’s getting exciting now.
I knocked another £5 off my credit card.
We had a lovely afternoon playing with our gorgeous granddaughter. We try and get over once a week as it’s an hour and a half’s drive but she’s growing so fast and it gives her mum chance to have some time to herself.
It was over 2 hours wait at the drop in centre yesterday ( not a complaint cos they try their best with a constant stream of people (not always nice people ) and I’ve been given a short course of steroids. I don’t know whether it them working or granddaughter cuddles but I’m starting to feel a bit better.
    Anyway time to go

    Hi guys
Checking in time, keeping me on track.
Today was a NSD and I paid another £5 off my CC.
After this though I’m going to have to slow down my CC payments for a couple of months as I’ve DS1s wedding in March and we’ll need spends, accommodation and all the hundred and one unexpected expenses. So I’m going to put a bit a day in my emergency fund and just pay the minimum payment for February, so I can dip in if needed.
I am also off work after the weekend for 2 weeks. We are having a two day break and during that time we have a stag and a hen party too.
I get paid on Friday and that money is really going to need to stretch.
Anyway I better go before I stress myself even more
    Bye for now

    Hi guys
Today has been a lazy day.
I’ve transferred £2 into my emergency fund and today won’t be a NSD as I brought 3 loaves of half price bread yesterday after I’d declared a NSD. Also I might be buying a handbag for my wedding outfit. I’ve popped it in the online bag and I’m just seeing if I get a voucher before I buy it. Fingers crossed.
The freezer is starting to get lower so OH is having lamb chop and veg and DS2 and I are having tuna pasta. I’m aiming for an online shop on Monday but with the bulk being frozen and tinned as OH and I are away 2 days next week and then DH and DS2 are away most of next weekend.

    Good evening guys
Today was very long. We had £70 mph winds as we live near the sea front and not many people ventured out so the shop was really quiet. A few of the shops shut early cos there wasn’t much point staying open.
I moved £5 to my emergency fund and today’s also been a NSD.
DS2 made corned beef hash for tea which really hit the spot. Winter food yummy 😋
Overall it’s not been too bad a day

Thankfully it’s not been too windy here. Those £70mph winds sound expensive - you’re obviously thinking about money too much 🤣
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

    Good morning guys
Today is the first day of my 2 weeks off 🥳
Today is going to be mainly lazy but I’ve the online shop arriving this afternoon. We finally got to the stage where I needed to shop but we’ve still some bigger pieces of meat in the freezer and loads of frozen veg left, so that will need putting away and I’ll cook something simple this evening.
Apart from that I’m just going to potter about today. The weather is cold and wet so I won’t be going out at all.
We’re off to DS1s tomorrow for a playdate with our lovely granddaughter and then we’ve a two day break in Chester Wednesday to Friday so this week is quite busy. We should have been going on a cruise but cancelled it as it would have been pushing our finances a bit much as OH needed to retire a bit earlier than planned.
While we’re away I still need to find wedding shoes that aren’t going to cripple me on the day. I ordered the handbag I found (unfortunately no discount even though I left it in the basket for a couple of days) never mind, it’s always worth a try.

    Hi guys
Today has been ok. We didn’t go to DS1s on our play date cos they are all full of the lurgey so they said not to go over.
So I went into town on a search for wedding shoes and found some that were just right and not expensive so I treated myself to coffee and cake to celebrate . I was beginning to think I was going to have to get some from the posh (expensive) shop in town, so that was a relief.
I moved another £5 to the EF for my PAD, a little a day is hardly being noticed and adding up nicely.
Food tonight was soup and bread and then the Xmas pudding and custard. So that’s the last of the Xmas food gone 😋

    Hi guys
We had a lovely couple of days away and now I’m back on the moneysaving bandwagon.
I’m on my own tomorrow and most of Sunday and don’t plan on doing much at all.
So that I don’t end up having to put anything on the CC I’ve moved the cost of the wedding accommodation into the EF and will transfer it back if I need to. I’m working on the theory of being careful with this months money and if I don’t need to transfer it back it can stay in the EF.

    Good morning guys
A peaceful morning here as it’s just me and the dog.
Yesterday was nice just watching tv and doing a jigsaw puzzle and then a whole double bed to myself 😀
Tonights meal is going to be a packet of sliced beef with Brussels, carrots, Yorkshire pud and gravy. We’re trying to get out of the habit of spuds, pasta or rice for every meal.
Life is quite boring at the moment but that’s no bad thing. No stress.
    Anyway have a good day
