Hope the job is going well
Stay focused, maybe have a savings target for when you are debt free? Do you have an isa/ easy access savings account?Where you can log in and see interest accumulating every day? It’s very good motivation
Today has been spendy I got very frustrated with my toaster, as it keeps tearing up the bread it is not good MD swears by Breville so that is what I have bought plus an alarm clock plus calendar so hopefully tomorrow is spend free, that does mean I have spent circa £60 today.
I have worked an extra 30 mins so that is 1 hour 30 mins to make up still!
Also i got a voucher for £15 off morrisons for first shop (£60) I may use it and see if I can get the beef stew stuff with the discount.
Lodger said he slept very well so that is a good sign and he also said he thinks of this place as a comfort and safe space. so sweet.
Have a good evening allXXMissions for the rest of the year:-

Today has been enjoyable, MD bless her treated me to lunch and a cake, I took her to a local garden centre and there are lots of other things, MD bought some presents for a little girl who recently turned one, she loves to treat the little lamb. We got a stuffed cuddly elephant and jigsaw and book. MD also found some sweets she likes (for herself) and a mug (also for herself). I didn't spend anything, I know that is terrible I should have at least bought the cakes, however MD doesn't mind and it stops me from spending all day. I am up to 9/19 No spend days.
I did help MD today and paid back £350 which I had from the joint account back in July when I wasn't working it allowed to pay off the credit card so I was glad I had done that as she was beggining to get worried about where she was getting the cash from. At the end of the month I am paying £280 to Her accoung which I owe for the cupboard I had done recently (in the room I now reside) and £1440.47? (I think) to SFDs account which I had in November last year, so I am expecting that is them done I did have £1000 before and if they are short again I will help them out if I am flush with cash however SFD says he is happy that I don't pay it back, so I will leave it for now.
Even if I only get £1770 in my pay packet I should be able to pay them back okay, Today I received the £180 for the bank switching offer, so that is good and that also meant that I could help MD today as I mentioned above well at least pay them back some of the money at a time where it was helpful. So that is some of my debt cleared. Just another £1720.47 left to go! I guess that is pretty much my wage packet never mind!
I am trying to relax as much as possible today and tomorrow so that I can try and write some words on my book, I am stuck at 13000, I hope to write tomorrow but maybe this evening if I am in the mood. I am with the words today, so maybe. That reminds me a few weeks ago I applied for a bookkeeping role as a volunteer, and well it looks like I am getting the job it is for a local organisation, what is good about it, one if I am ever out of work again, it looks good on the cv that I would be actually doing something, but also there is experience to gain as there is different things like VAT return which I don't as of yet have the experience, so I am quite pleased to say the least, plus I will be doing something for the community plus it gives me something to do. I could use the skills I had once trained with , although I am a bit rusty and need to revert to the books which reminds me I want to look over vat soon I am sure I bought a book a few months back so I will have a look there.
I think I will save the housework for when I am at home during the week either the evening or the morning, I could do the hoovering in the morning, the bedding in the afternoon and the mopping in the evening etc. This way it gets done and not encroach on my free time too much, space fillers rather then free time use.
I am not cooking the flapjack again this week, besides I have enough from last week for the first part of the week and also I do find it sickly I need to think of SW friendly snacks for the week, Like pickled onions, eggs and gherkins, carrot sticks and houmous, rice cakes, although I am trying to stay on a budget so it is not great because there is only so much I can add to the shopping. I do still have some quorn suasages which I could cook and snack on throughout the week, they are about 1.5 syns each three wouldn't be many but would fill a hole! Yes I think I will cook them tomorrow to take with me to the office. I know toast and cereal is a cheap snack however it is a bit of a anti SW diet although I am not strictly going SW I want to try and incorporate the methodology because I beleive there was some good ideas with the diet plan, I just can't follow a strict regime of SW, besides I couldn't stick to a £50 budget anyhow, saying that I spent £20 on Friday for sushi (which was amazing) if I added that to my shop I wodner what I could buy, there is a bit of leeway, although I was meant to try and have quite a leeway for next month to pay off the other debt (£1800) I think as a plan stick to £50 budget for now with the intention once all debts are cleared re-look at the budget, maybe today I will play around with a basket and see what I couold get healthy wise and good snacks that I could stick with maybe £70 or less or more? Yes I would like to do that this afternoon see what I can do, maybe even get the £50 budget if I was savvy.
Yes I need to re-visit doing SW, the medication I took last year although I didn't get on with it I did lose 1 stone and I haven't put the weight on, maybe a pound over chirtsmas, but that is it. So I think now that the nice pharmacist appointment I had I am starting Ozempic so I would like to have some nice diet food in really and what better time then next weeks shop. I know the SW diet more then any other plan, and I do have wiggle room so why not try it to align with the jab! I'll only plan for things that I enjoy and not anything else, Like I know I like quorn sausages which is better then flapjack however we are swapping 15 syns to 4.5 syns, however I know I don't like the Linda mcCartney sausages which are free (not all just the rosemary ones) but it is pointless eating what you don't like for the sake of being skinny!
My mission will be to improve but to also enjoy - so I won't follow a strict regime, besides the doctor said I had lost weight when I saw him a week or two ago. I know I am big but I also know I can't lose weight fast without me putting it all back on. Obviously the jab will help I just need to make sure I have a few things which are good for Diabetes and SW but that are acceptable changes. So that will be my mission for the rest of the day, I am going to try and improve my basket and mission keep it at £50 if at all possible, or increase to £60 or £70 maybe? lets see.
Sorry about all the waffle. Enjoy your dayXXMissions for the rest of the year:-

Hi CB , you must feel good being able to repay MD and SFD so quickly , 2 short weeks and you are really doing well . Might be a good idea to up the shopping budget a bit , everything so expensive nowadays and healthy food even more so . Also good to incorporate your housework into week days and keep weekend purely for rest , social or writing. Great to hear everything going so well for you xx1

There is the odd red flag which I won't mention here, but I think he is quite sweet natured I hope he soon will feel like he can settle in. And having that sort of money coming in plus being careful with money can only mean that it will be good for all those goals I have set myself in my mind and here as previously wanting to reach EF targets and MFWannabe targets etc.
I am glad to be able to pay back MD & SFD they have been so supportive and helpful it is nice to give it back especially when they don't really expect it back, and especially when it counts.
I have played around with the shopping and really if I am going to have meat sometimes I really need £75, I like to batch cook there is no point cooking a beef stew if I am only making one or two portions, so I have ordered a Kilo of beef, also I was going to change my cereal to shreddies and not put sugar on them thinking they were not very sweet however comparing them to the choco pops there is the same level as sugar so I am sticking with what I know I like! I do have some porridge oats a stevia sweetener which I may have the occasional bowl of. Also today I saw a porridge bowl and what was funny about it is the name on the front - it says baby bear, I call mum mumma bear and she calls me baby bear which I love!! (even though I am no baby!)
Thanks Newstart For the message I know I have waffled again...I hope you are okay, I haven't seen a diary of yours yet, perhaps you will think about doing a diary? XXMissions for the rest of the year:-

Aww love the mummy bear bowl , breakfast is a biggie when on a weight loss journey , so many supposed healthy options make me more hungry when eaten first thing. I have thought of a diary but don't know if I have enough to say for it to be of interest lol . The lodger will settle in I am sure , it's early days yet I suppose and obviously the money generated will help you enormously , hope the writing goes well for you xx1

Newstart if you want to use my diary to put some of your own goals I would be happy to share it and I can give you feedback if you wanted it, if you don't feel like the thought of doing your own, we could have some missions for the month and just see how we get on it is just an idea if you wanted to test the water before taking the plunge? It can be really helpful to have some kind of place where you are accountable kind of and a place to put your goals and list desires, dreams, plans and start working on them I could give you some ideas how you could do it like for example I could give you a homework if you wanted.... you need to come up with three missions, one for the day, one for the month and one for the year, they can be anything, ideally money saving and DIY and cleaning are good goals because you are not paying someone to do it, or maybe you want to save an EF, or have someone see what you do spend your money on and get some feedback. Consider this diary a place where you start your own diary a stepping stone if you would like it to be. I write enough for more then three peoples worth - although I am not sure it is all interesting stuff.
I hope the lodger does settle here because he seems mostly nice and very hard working and not a bother at all and very respectful.
