It also doesn't help that I can't seem to stop spending, I blame the credit card, but I can't do anything about it. I think to become sensible I need actual cash to protect, I may ask MD and for that loan now pay off the credit card and start behaving more money savvy. I think I will pop over there now!

I stopped myself from asking MD & SFD I am buying more time before I go to them, but I don't want to go to them in all honesty, I know MD is lending me the money for the cupboard on Monday, but I really don't want to go to them with this big credit card debt, so therefore I am buying time until a lodger arrives. I am going to go in the smaller room and that is final I may feel like the inferior person but I shouldn't need to, it is still my place after all, I am just being cunning with my assets.
My credit card is £910.61 there is due a refund of £25 also but it still hasn't arrived and they said it would be here by now, so a bit more chasing next week is needed. If I stick to those expenses I will keep my credit card at £1050.61. I am trying to get myself to stick to not spending on the credit card as it is very tempting, I want to see the credit card go down which it will when a lodger arrives, especially if they are paying £650.00.
I won't need to pay any interest on credit card for August in September because I paid more then enough to cover the balanace, however if I don't get a job by the end of September, then I will likely need to pay £52.00 in interest which I can afford above as I have managed to acquire some cash. The £167.55 is what is left after Septembers bills, luckily I have a further £180 due in September from the bank as a reward which I will keep in cash until I have a new lodger.
I think it is a quiet time for lodgers at the moment while it is the holidays but this will give me time to sort the smaller room and move into it. I have nearly all the pieces I just need to put them together. I have a plan I just need to stick to it. lets see there are 15 days left in the month, if they are all no spend days I will reach my goal of 19, sadly today was a spendy day in the end, a curtain pole and snacks - I really wish I had not go the snacks - totally careless.
I also have these two debts or I will have by end of Monday, I imagine MD & SFD will let me get away with it though, bless them 💕😘.
I wonder what next week will bring?Mission Number One: Get a job!

Warning More Before & After shots:-
This is my window before which is very girly however the new curtains and curtain pole which I decided in the end to put up are ....still a bit girly but at least it lets in more light...
Do you think I can get away with these curtains for a man (minus the ornaments) if a man were to come, I know he probably wouldn't be that keen but they are not totally girly like the last lot. I do have black ones coming but I think they would be a bit oppressive. I really like the look what do you think? (I think they are actually for a child but I love em!). This way I could send the black curtains back, but perhaps I should get some grey ones instead? Or keep these and not for anymore?

This means the only job I have left to do is to put up the desk, and you know what I may just do it tonight! I will have to sort furniture in spare room and potentially move into the spare room on Monday after the carpenter has been in order to put the ad up for the new bigger room I want to give the best presentation for the bigger room, also I need to see if all my belongings fit in the spare room which I am unsure about and then I can get right behind it and start my life in the smaller room.
I wonder if I will hear anything next week about any of the interviews I have been to? I shouldn't wish my life away but roll on Monday!

Hi CB, will you have to make good after the carpenter? Painting or hole filling? Fingers crossed for news about a job. Did you get any replies from your book keeping advert?1
