Here are my cakes that I made, a little cracked but look delicious!
I think they are cracked because I added baking powder to the mix, ohh well at least they don't look burnt like a lot of my normal offerings !!2 -
I make one cake and what do you know MD is asking me to bake her 80th birthday cake! therefore my spending is way up to £132.72 plus the £20 for yesterday at the farmshop is left unpaid. It is going to take quite a bit of prolificing to get this down, depending on how well I do MD may pay me back for it, But I don't want to ask since she just paid off over £1K on credit card! And I should hope to have a job soon!
I have two potential jobs now, both in close proximity to me, and real contenders! I should hear about both next week about any possible interviews.
Also because I may be working soon I have decided to make the cakes sooner and freeze them, the other good side to this is that I will know they are done and it is just decorating left to do! so less stress. I am putting lots of edible gold bits and pieces on a lustre and a glitter etc, plus big 8 0 candles (gold). Ohh and there is a surprise popping candy in the centre along with butter chocolate icing..it should look good, but I am not the world best at cakes! However MD said the cakes to buy are like £600 per time and said she really didn't want to spend that much...so it is down to me. I want to do a real treat..I am doing the chocolate almond cake made with lindt chocolate, it is super moist and delicious, but I have never made a double batch before, so I just hope it looks good and works well in the tin I have bought.
I have now put together the lodgers cake, I will take a picture tomorrow when the sparklers go in and on, it is not super amazing but it looks quite reasonable, I just hope tomorrow it will still be moist! Next thing on my list of things to make is the chicken curry for tomorrows bunny chow! There is 2KG worth of Chicken thighs to debone and deskin - I actually enjoy the process more then I care to admit but I don't look forward to it still...and I enjoy it not in a masochistic way, but more in a it is relaxing me sort of way!
I have tried to hide all paraphenalia of the baking today, he may cotton on because of the smell, but at least I am keeping it as much as a secret as I can!! There is little else to do today so I may do some housework.

I did do some housework yesterday but not mega amounts, I put washing away and cleaned desk and table. This morning when the shopping arrives I want to concentrate on the Bunny chow or at least the curry for it! first by roasting the veg, then debone and deskin chicken, then cooking off the chicken, then making the curry for it all and putting together. I am using my rogan josh curry powder mix (That I put together from the spices in my kitchen) because I know this tastes very good, I would normally use lamb for it, but that alone costs £31, this should make a big batch for us both.
If I get it done in good time and it is good, I was thinking of getting the housework done too, leaving tomorrow to chillax, but one step at a time. I think all I need to do housework wise is put washing on, wipe bathroom, hoover and change bed linen..so shouldn't be a problem.
I now have three job opportunities that have landed on my doorstep, or at least there are now three potentials...A new job has come around which is temporary however it pays well - we are talking £40-£45K PA, and I am being considered! I can't tell you how thrilling that would be to be paid so much! but it is likely to end in December, which would not a good time to get another job, however I should have a good EF by then! and not only that I will have a lot more experience at management accounts, so I could go for those type of roles...I can't tell you how exciting that would be...Although there would be a hell of a lot of work to do I imagine for that amount of money!

Wahoo the curry is on the bread is bought and so is the marshmallows, I am going to have a go at decorating the lodgers cake with icing, I have 3 tubs of icing betty crocker and a pallette knife how hard can it be! Ooh Gosh I am not really not worried, I am super worried I ruin the cake! But I need a practice round wish me luck...I will photo the outcome! Ohh God if you are there please let it be good, real good! XX
Sometime later....
Not too shabby if I do say so myself, I am looking forward to the sparklers light up, I am gonna let him see the cake before lighting the sparklers, otherwise I think I will drop it and have a fire!
I want to chilax for the rest of the day but I still have some energy I think! So perhaps that little bit of housework? Maybe? I need a rest after my mornings exertions! I have pretty much been at it non stop since the shopping came this morning.1 -
I don't know whether to be a bit upset that my lodger has made other plans on the day we had plans to have a bunny chow, I am sat here in the dark waiting for him to come home after my whole day is about him. I know he is just a lodger but I thought we had made plans for tonight, and now he is doing something a bit later, he is still having tea but then going straight after I feel a bit peeved...but then what can you expect from a 21 year old?!
sometime later.......
We had albeit short but lovelly evening, I really enjoyed the bunny chow, we had one of these (above) each, the curry was sweet and delicous, lodger said it was in his top three of Bunny Chows! Yay! Also we have made plans to have chocolate cake for breakfast tomorrow morning on his birthday!! I am looking forward to itXX1 -

Today has been all about mum (well except for brekkie!) I went to MDs and prepared a roast dinner, she liked the presents that I got her and although the meat was a bit tougher then she liked she was quite thankful that I had prepared it. I left with a smile on her face, so it was a good day.
No spending is 16/19, I am not going to reach target, but there has been lot going on so I won't feel too worried about this, I'll try and do better next month. MDs birthday is around the corner so I need to get those cakes made next week, I'll do one one day and one another day and freeze them..I am now just worried about them turning out well.
Poor lodger I prepared that bunny chow last night, he ate it all then went for a pizza after, I can't say I had enough room for dessert let alone pizza, well these young ones know how to put it away! I don't think he realised he was going for dinner! I imagine he was a bit stuffed that night!1 -
I want to do some housework tonight so that tomorrow I can relax, I want to do it while the lodger is out, so that when he comes back everything is shiny and nice! Therefore a list is needed:-
1) Wash up
2) Hoover
3) Mop
4) Clean bathroom
5) Change bed linen
6) Clean table
7) Do bins
That is all I want to do tonight and will leave me tomorrow to be able to relax!
I need to wait until he gets back from work and goes out again which is about 6:30pm, I will do some bits before but not most, I'll wait for later.
I am pooped!1
