Glad your purse is remaining closed and great you getting loads of interviewsDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I have leads for jobs, I am sure one of them will turn into a job for me. Also I have a lovelly gentlemen wanting to view the room. Also I have added a No spend day to the mix taking my total to 12/19. I am meeting with the lovely gent tomorrow and I need to get the flat ready for the viewing. Therefore a trusty list is needed:-
1) Sort washing
2) Sort bins
3) Hoover
4) Mop floors
5) put washing on
6) Bathroom spot check
7) Tidy up
8) wash up
9) clean the front door. First impressions and all.
I'lll see if I can get some of it done tonight, time is right to get some stuff done. Wish me luck!
I have done all I want to do for tonight, I had a little peek at earnings and having a lodger and it is quite good, so fingers crossed it all turns out wellXX0 -
I am having a good day today so far and it only just after 8, I have received a refund for a crosss stitch because it is a forgery, however I still have the kit and will try and use it so that is £26.39 coming back to me. Then I also have my winnings of £12.00 coming to me, then also I have just cashed in prolific, I did buy a cross stitch kit from this money but because it is 'Free Money' I think I can still say the day is a No spend and after the crosss stitch purchase that leaves £30.13. Also I have MDs credit card which I can get a few bits on as a reward for doing some stuff for her so it feels like a win day and it is very early, Plus I have the viewing today. Which reminds me, I best get on with those last few jobs:-
1) Hoover
2) Mop Floors
3) Put washing on
4) Wash up
5) Get paperwork sorted for new lodger so he can read thhrough it and have my bank details.
But first I need brekkie!0 -
I have success, I have a lodger, however he doesn't arrive until end of March so there is a bit of a wait. He seemed down to earth and polite, I think he just wants to get on and save for his own place, which will help me too. I have interviews happening, but I am really only keen on two jobs a part time job in practice and a credit control job. I should hear about the credit control job next week, and I have heard about the parctice job today they are interviewing in two weeks so a bit of wait!
The thing is there is so many irons in fires that I think something positive will happen for me in the job department, I just hope it is one of the jobs that I want - most desire.

The lodger isn't coming I had a message this morning that he has found an alternate ohh well, I am thinking it is for the best. I am keeping my ad down now as I was thinking that I was relieved when he said he had changed his mind. I just don't think I can have someone here, therefore when I get a job, I need to be really tight with cash in order to reach goals that I want to reach, it will be harder but I think I will be happier. Therefore I need to find a job that will pay in the region of £30K, I can definetely get this, I have prooven that.
MD is at mine today to watch a film, it turned out it was a documentary and I was a little unimpressed - I am Israel - we were expecting a drama/action film! well I was, I am not sure what MD was expecting, she liked it, I just found out!
14/19 No spend day today, I am not planning on buying anything, I have spent but not my own money, I got MDs groceries and popcorn for the supposed film, which I still have and shall save for another day! As I had pancakes for brekkie this morning and have had enough sugar for more then a weeks worth!!

It has been a good weekend I delibertely tried to rest this weekend and not job search too much, anyhow I did job search and I just keep going over old ads. I didn't do any cross stitch which I may change today also I have finished my book, so I need to get a new one out from the library. I did take MD to local garden centre and because I gave her all my fruit and veg, she bought me a hand cream which I chose, I later found out it is made in Ireland and uses sea minerals, it smells lovely.
Also I have put a new ad up for the spare room a Monday to Friday ad, I am hoping the person would have paid council tax in their main home and so I have put the room at bit less to reflect the difference, in week nights and council tax. This would mean I get the best of both worlds, lone time and making money on the room.
Also I have been thinking if I am on a tight budget then I need to work out what I want to spend my money on and not just fritter it away, so I have come up with a plan, most months I will budegt £100 but this month If I get a job I will get £90, and this is what I would spend it on, quality things that will improve my life:-
1) Sunday Roast once per month - I love taking myself out for a roast, there is a really good place nearby with good views across the country. £40
2) Cod and chips once per month - £13.50
3) Take MD for a meal and cake on the last Sunday of the month - £36.50 Plus I will take any prolific funds and boost this up to spend in the gift shop too. £36.50 will be close to what I need, I may needs a few pounds on top from prolific but the place I go to do a lunch for £14 per head roughly speaking, plus drinks and cakes after!
This means I can't spend money on snacks and other take out as that is all my spending money accounted for.

I have been writing a diary on my own at home and I think I thank this diary for starting it, I find it really helpful, so I think I will keep it up and do less on here, afterall I am not always keen on the responses I get! And at home I don't get that obviously. I also learn about myself and can self improve which is what my original goal was, so I think I will use this diary to purely run down the finances which is what it is about, once I get a job I will update with the planned budget and ideas I have and then the actual versus budget once I get paid.2

Okay so I wanted to do some chores I just don't have the same motivation on my at home diary as I do for mse diary, it is like I imagine people judging me if I don't get plenty done sounds crazy right? Anyhow I am not doing a massive list but If I could just get the following two items done first that would be great:-
1) Hoover
2) Mopping
Once I have crossed off these two items I will see how I feel and what else I can get done!
Sometime later...It worked I have mopped and hoovered! yay! What next, I need to leave the floor to dry, So I can do:-
1) Job Search
2) Wash Up
3) put washing away
4) Put washing on
5) Change bed linen
That would make a nice space then have lunch or have lunch before washing up!1 -
None of us are perfect on here how could we possibly judge you 😁. I have been credit card free about six times in as many years. I've also been through lots of jobs and also can't be a**Ed with the housework half the time 🤣.
Hope you get a good lodger! It could make the world of difference for a few months to get rid of debt and build up a cushion/ some breathing room.
