Morning Bee , it's good that you are keeping your options open . You want to strike a balance between not becoming overwhelmed and boredom I suppose and those sort of hours would help in some way to getting out the house. Also if you are successful with pip it would somewhat supplement your income and perhaps allow you to save a little bit for a car . Good luck for Monday xxx

It would be fantastic if you could stop spending money on Omaze & scratch cards. You would be better off saving the money.

Having read along about how much you enjoy your writing I have often wondered if you have thought about joining a writing group? There are often ones where you meet up regularly with like-minded people (possibly the library might know if these exist in your area), or on-line groups. I have always written (for my own amusement) and years ago took an evening class which was very helpful in exploring how to structure a story, for example, and doing "timed writing" - where we would pick a random picture out of a box and write for 15 minutes on it. This was initially quite difficult but helped me to focus on getting some words onto paper. Watching several interviews with published authors, most of them wrote for a set amount of time each day even if they discarded a lot of it the following day. Getting feedback from the evening class tutor and other students was very helpful (even the more negative opinions although no-one was outright nasty). Although I no longer write very much I still follow the tutor (on Facebook) and she still publishes writing "prompts" from time to time. I appreciate this may not be your thing but might be something you can explore.

Morning CrazyBee, I'm glad you were able to look back and see your progress in the end. I'm also one of those people that struggles to implement big habit changes all in one go - baby steps work better for lots of people I believe. It can feel like you're taking two steps forward and one (or three!) steps back sometimes, but you'll get there in the end x
