I thought I would just send this to the both of you (two birds one stone). Thank you for the contract to both of you I have enjoyed working for XXXXXXX Windows. However I have just accepted another temp post last minute, therefore I will be unable to come back for the for-seeable, I know the training is not quite there, however I think XXXXX did write a few good notes. I have to take the contract as it is offering full time work, and I need a job. Therefore I will be unavailable from this point forward. I hope you can find an alternate source for the bookkeeping knowledge.Kindest RegardsXXXXXXXGoal 1: Get a permenant job that sticks.

After explaining my action in a bit more detail MD agrees with what I did, let me explain, the job was to help with year end and support a bookkeeper become savvy with sage, but this lady doesn't understand bookkeeping either, why would I train someone however much money I earn to do myself out of a job, either way you look at it it wouldn't make sense. I got where I am today by working and getting experience, not by saying i'll do the qualification once I get in the job! or by expecting someone who would otherwise be jobless to train that person - I hope that makes more sense @Egoberry Thank you. I don't understand why no one sees my point? At least MD does!Goal 1: Get a permenant job that sticks.

Hey Bee, my point is merely about is it sometimes worth to go through short term discomfort for potential long term benefit? You seem to have done so well in this assignement and really got on with your boss and was like 95% of the way to providing great end-to-end service. So could this have been a chance to e.g. get a great reference for your LinkedIn page? Or you may be totally spot on about the lady not being up to scratch with the work and so chances are they would call you back for more support or more permanent role as they've seen you in action? But now with an abrupt ending I presume it is not likely. The recruiter may also be hesitant about recommending you for similar oppportunities if they think you will drop out without tying up loose ends.To your frustration about someone not qualified picking up the role, unfortunately the market is changing very rapidly and employees are simply expected to cover more areas and learn things quickly on the job as the expectation is that AI accelerates everyone's ability to do so - Sage itself are rolling out a lot of AI tooling which should (in theory) make it much easier manage. Chances are the employer cannot afford a full time role and so are bringing in someone who will do multiple responsibilities and this happens to be one that they are not yet qualified in. It's a tough a market so I totally feel your pain. The only reason I commented was because you have written about impulsive decision making often steering you off track so I thought it might be worth taking a pause. You know your situation best so don't feel like you need everyone to understand or agree with what you are doing!5

Hi Sammie, thank you for your message. I am indeed enjoying myself in the festive run up.
I have been to a big Christmas market ate many good things and spent too much money, and today I watched the boy called Christmas and it was very Christmas-mood inducing. We had a feast with the lodger a few nights ago and enjoyed some scrummy food. And I have prepped all MDs carers a gift (Choc and cash)! Tomorrow I receive my Christmas shopping (providing there is anything left!) and then a day at MDs where we swap Christmas pressies. How about you?
