On a more positive note I have spent money, but it didn't cost as much as it could have cost, I have ordered a phone stand, so I can do videos to show me looking at the samples to upload onto my etsy shop, so the customer can see the quality of the products they would receive and that I am only having the best quality products for my shop. Etsy say it is good when you provide a video of yourself or your brand, so that is what I will do, I have packages arriving every day so plenty to practice on!

Also I looked at the pizza shop and thought gosh I could do with a pizza, I just prepped the dough and the sauce, waiting for the dough to rise then boom I will have my own home-made pizza as I have all the other ingredients in as well!

    Have a good evening allXX

I have good news - almost, not only do I have an interview today but also I was contacted about the room by someone I have met before and I found him to be quite a decent chap and I would feel very comfortable letting my spare room to him, he has a lot of soul. I feel that the stars are aligning strangely. He is visiting this afternoon, I am thinking that I would get some nice biccies in it is not necessary but I thought it would be a nice touch!

    So plan of action: -

    1) Have a shower & get Dressed ✓

    2) Review notes for the interview, and improve and or add to.✓

    3) Get fresh air and biccies - changed mind will use what I have in (kit kats) window open! ✓

    4) minimal tidying and checking the place is presentable. ✓

    5) Review notes and last prep for the interview.✓

    6) Go for the interview✓

    7) Relax✓

    8) get place and biccies ready for viewing.✓

    9) Go to MDs and take her to her appointment - I helped her book it and I have her car so I should take her it is the decent thing to do.

    10) Go home and chillax!

Interview seemed to go well and I seemed to recognise the lady there actually it could go against me because the lady in question is Russian and I remember her from a previous work place and we seemed to get along but she didn't do accounts in that job yet she was portraying herself as someone who worked in accounts, not that she doesn't know what she is on about, but if she thinks I am going to blab which I won't then it could look a bit trickey for her if she has lied on the application?

In the end MD called and said get biccies and coffee and tea and now I have put on a spread, I know I shouldn't spend the money but it is a nice touch and it will be lunch time. Lets see how it goes.

Well I should have listened to myself! The chap arrived and wasn't hungry, it did seem tight to not have a few nibbles at least Tea and Coffee however he doesn't drink tea and coffee and I didn't remember that, but then MD never puts out nibbles so I don't know why she gave that advice. Anyhow no harm done and it still may pay for itself as the chap that viewed the room was very pleasant and stopped for a short while and we chatted a little about art, he did like my phone case! I had one of the samples yesterday so I showed him my new phone case and mentioned ChatGpt which he had not heard of! Lets see. I will send him a thanks for coming over message, it was nice to see him again.XX

I have been working on the business today, I have taken videos and uploaded them onto Etsy products to sell arrived, MD bought my aprons and they are good and she said it was what she has been looking for as in the style of the Apron and she likes the designs she paid at Cost price, although she said she would have paid a profit making £30.00 for each of them had she seen them in a shop.

However the real proof will be tomorrow as I am planning to go to my local shops to sell my notebooks, they cost circa £7.25 each I am hoping to get £10.00 each and sell 6 of them in one go which would be a profit of circa £16.00, I am doing this to get my name out there as each notebook has my brand logo on the back! free advertising!

I have also spent time getting something together to give to the shop that purchases from me, namely a price list and a description about my company something to hand over should they choose my wares. Ooh that reminds me I better had done a receipt for the shop I am optimistic that they will sell. It will be fun to see if there are any takers. I guess I might be a bit of a misery if they are not snapped up! (they do look good so lets hope and pray!)

I am taking the mouse mats that I think are reasonable, one of them arrived and it is not soo good which I have kept back, the other two are okay, I am hoping to sell the two for £24 which would not see a profit because of the binned one but it would almost cover costs, but I am less sure these will sell.

I have started the accounts for the shop as well which I will need for benefits claim, they will need this uploaded for when the benefits are calculated next month. It looks very professional all what I have done and I have just prepared the invoices as well, I have sent MD one, which I sent twice after seeing its faults, anyhow I have staretd it, so luckily I know what is needed on the receipt being into accounts helps!

I have also over the last few days added to my picture archive for my designs for the products while I have free extended use of ChatGPT, I could do a calendar with the amount of pictures I have created now! I'll leave that later in the year for the run up to Christmas should my business take off.

    Spending: -

    Spare room Boost: -£28.00
Tags for new products - £36.40
Sale MD at cost: - £55.63

    Overall: - £8.77 Spent

The tags are a design with my logo and the Etsy email address as I feel they should have this at the very least, I am thinking the aprons and the Oven mitts and the necklace can go with tags, ohh that reminds me I need string and safety pins to attach to the item.

    £8.77 + £12.97 = £21.74 spent

Also I am thinkig of taking advantage of 25% off at Ocado for first time customer.

    Have a lovely Sunday allXX

I have been struck by dream state inspiration and I have come up with 7 new designs and I have 7 new products on sale in my Etsy shop wowser they look good I am looking forward to getting a sample/ item to sell locally. Before I do that I will see how today goes, if today is no good then maybe the shop will be fruitless, by means I have items I think are very good but I don't know if they will sell, so the proof will be today or when I get chance to meet responsible buyer for that particular shop.

If today goes well I will buy more products to sell locally, maybe try out my new designs on someone...oooh excited!

    Mission today: -

Dress smart / colourful, wear lippy,

Take my wares to the shops,

    Sell sell sell

If fail, don't give up, try elsewhere! If you think they are good someone else will!

Last night I did a bit of late night shopping and saved £25.00 on groceries at Ocado amongst basket savings I did really well, I have loads coming for a fraction of the the price - yippee! I am spending less and getting more bang for my buck.

I can't wait to show someone my new designs, I think they are great!

Wow crazy you have been busy. I like a nice bit of stationery but if you hope to sell to shops @ £10 add their mark up they are going to be £12+? I have a notebook top price of £5. And for an apron I wouldn't pay more then £10.
Hopefully you will get a job soon.

Thanks Chiveley you are probably right however I think the designs are quite something and MD and myself have now decided that it would not be wise to sell to shops but to just to keep it online as the profits are negligible for both sides, I am going to add designs and different things in order to appeal to a broader market, I do feel they are good quality and I would buy them myself had I seen them in another shop. The designs are kind of what I have been after and not found it, so with any hope others will see them and feel the same way.

The plan now is to put as much stuff on Etsy between now and October, when October hits I am going to do ads to promote my wares in prepartion for Christmas, Also today I have added another three further designs aimed for a more masculine market! Also one of the items promotes my book that I wrote.

As for my attempt at selling to the shops today, luckily they were all closed, because realistically there is not much money to be made with my products out there, but I am planning on keeping up the business and keep trying to add more designs because I love doing it, I love what I create along with ChatGPT and I will love seeing a sale when it happens, well I am pretty sure I will!

I would love to show you what I have created but I need to keep my anonymity. MD & SFD both think they are good, so that is something. This morning designs wow eye catching, gosh I love it! Anyhow I must get a job soon because with the new ornaments in my shop if I were to sell one at £10.00 I would make £0.60p!
