Crazy, you should be asleep at 3.42am in the night, not chatting with us. Will you move back to the bigger bedroom when the lodger leaves?1

HaHa you noticed, I went to bed at 8am and got up at that time to do a little internet search, I went back to bed not long after! and I had a lay in so feeling refreshed, Thank you.Chieveley said:Crazy, you should be asleep at 3.42am in the night, not chatting with us. As for the room, I have fallen in love with the small room and I like the extra that comes from letting out the bigger room, it is especially helpful without a job, also there is more storage for someone staying long term, whereas the whole flat is my storage space!
Today has been fun, I have organised MD and sorting out Christmas shopping we bought 4 hampers two for cleaner one for carer and his missus and one for Grandson and his missus. Inside we are putting alcohol or not, choco assortment, socks, nuts, and dates. We also got Sister & Mister an ornament which we know sister likes it is their birthday/ Christmas all in one which was £350, we are going to next town tomorrow to get socks for hampers gifts for some and gifts for granddaughter & Her partner and hamper goodies. MD is also getting me socks (I am hoping I can choose!) and she got me an alarm clock and some money. we also got the other sister No7 collection stuff which we used advantage points to buy and alcohol for her soon to be husband.
I also decided to get an extra Christmas present, I have given MD £11 for two bottles of prosecco (She got 6 with 25% off) and I have bought a deck chair towel each for my niece and her partner, something useful, I wanted to get them something, they have been taxi for me for a few trips to the hospital it is still less then that would have cost! Not that I am counting but It is an affordable gesture.
The reason I have planned everything out and mapped out what to get is because the last three-four years I have helped MD&SFD get their Christmas shopping not getting much in the way of praise and it has been hideous, every trip awful and then I would be the last thought to get a gift for, however I have tried to get this point across to MD and she seems to be listening, we are going to the next town tomorrow and I think another trip to our local haunt and then her Christmas pressies will be done also, next will be wrap and sort and that will be it done! So much more breezey then before, before it felt like we were going to HELL & Back!! MD is also a bit indecisive I have managed to wrangle her and yield to my way of thinking mostly!
I have also been thinking about Christmas day this is my plan: -
😊
1) Have Christmas Breakfast & Clear up 😊
2) Call MD & Text friends😊
3) read or watch a film (see what I am reading and what is on the telly)😊
4) Put dinner on (special M&S meal already ordered, just need to pick up on Christmas eve)😊
5) Eat dinner & Pudding😊
6) Christmas gifts to me shop (I know what I want but I will think about it some more before buying and maybe it will go down in the black friday sale?)😊
7) read or watch a film😊
😊
I have put the smiley faces because I hope to have a smiley face for Christmas day while I am on my own, I need to remember that it is just one day and I can enjoy the day with doing things that I would enjoy any other day.

Mission today for me is to not spend money - I really need to stick within budget now, I am expecting a £60 shop tomorrow which will boost the potential for this, as i'll have filling lunches and nice choices.
I am now breakfasted and next get dressed and head over to MDs to get her ready to go out after the carer has got her up and dressed. Have a lovely day allXX

Wow we were expecting to spend £7.99 per pair of sock, we actually found a pop up shop which had good socks for £5.00 each so a saving of £50.83 MD was pleased and so was I for her! We also found some fun mugs which MD is going to distribute a couple to the hamper for the Carer and his Missus and one each for her lodgers, they were £9.99 each they reasonable quality and boxed, and with a fun message (His Lordship, The boss, & The legend!!), she is also getting beer for them all, or some type of alcohol.
MD also purchased a dress for the carers baby and a game. I was supposed to not spend anything but actually came away quite pleased with what I got. I got a few hair accessories from Claires accessories (which is closing down) £10.50 spent, a hat for £9.99, however MD bought this from me for herself, and what I am really excited about is the ornament I got: - Solid metal and £49! I Luurrvvee it!!
I got back to a message from one of my sisters about a job, wish me luck, I have just sent CV to recruiter, the money is not great or what I want to do, but I can do it and it will be welcomed so I am going for it.
We have pretty much sorted Christmas now as MD also made a christmas tree purchase which lights up is narrow, necessary for passing wheelchair and has a snowy white covering.
I am so pleased with the ornament that I can't stop looking at the picture, I am also going to put some things on Ebay over the coming days, which I would hope pay for it.
Have a good evening allXX

Well ornament is paid for! I put a couple of things on Ebay recently and more stuff today and one of the items I put an offer on for buyers today got snapped up, I have posted so just waiting for the cash! Also I have been given a gift from MD, she offered to pay for laminate flooring which we got in the sale and I have set aside some cash to get the flooring laid. Hopefully I will get the laminate before my appointment on 28th, then I will have my appointment, then the floor will be laid on 1st December. However I am anxious about a few things, one the laminate arriving and having to move 30 boxes into the flat and two going for my hospital appointment where I will have something chopped off, last time it was painful, then also that have I found the right person to do it? But if all goes to plan I will have better digs before Christmas and the op would be over and done with.
Today I spent more on shopping then budgeted so therefore not a no spend day to add, I don't think i'll reach target again, but loads of stuff has been happening so it is no surprise, anyhow I only have enough cash now until January, so I either need a lodger or a job! on that note I have applied for a couple of roles and spoken to a person about the room, but all still up in the air at the moment.
Have a good evening allXX

I have managed to cancel the order okay, I have asked MD if she could do it another time and she said she would, I am still thinking about getting the laminate now while it is cheaper and just keep it stored here, but 30 boxes is a bit excessive and I have seen a place where it is cheaper all year round (Online carpets) Plus they have great reviews, plus customer service was great. I would defo buy from them in the future if I decide to go down that path again, maybe wait for the nicer weather.
Today I have told cathybird on the no spend thread that I am taking a break from no spend, my heart just is not in it. Today I bought lunch for us all well bread, pate and cake although MD & SFD had some of their cheese and meat instead of the pate. We enjoyed it and had a good afternoon. I should be washing up this afternoon as there is a few things to do, then I should change the bed linen and put it on to wash, it won't take long but this morning it seemed impossible to get the energy to do it, but I think I should be alllright to do this aftternoon, sounds silly but I think things have changed inside me, maybe not for the better? I don't know but I hate the lack of motivation in the morning.
I will do a trusty motivational list, it really helps me so I hope you don't mind me doing it: -
1) Put washing up on to soak
2) Wash up
3) Change all beds linen
4) Put wash on
5) do an intense search for jobs
6) Put some books from the shelf to charity to take tomorrow when going to the library
7) Look for new books and find a book to read on the shelf (I bought some in a charity drive recently and I can't remember where I put them - on the shelf somewhere!) and then read!
8) look for a film to watch and watch.
9) Have dinner.
10) Do bins
11) Watch TV
MD said she may still come to mine for Christmas dinner as she is not getting on with the sister that invited her, the sister that invited her is more fun then me as a host which is why she wanted to go there in the first place, but sister is being overly hostile towards MD for unknown reasons and I said if she wanted she could still come to mine. MD said she would think about it over night. I think I know my sister and I am sure would be lovely to mum on the day and mum would have a good time, although I am not 100% sure of this anymore, as my sister is absolutely diabolical right now, anyhow I have already ordered the food and there is enough to go around so she has two choices. It is not how I would like to be selected but I undertsand her logic. I don't have a family around me or no other friends that come over on Christmas day and since I am doing the cooking it is hard to host as well, although this year it is a simple dish and everything prepped for me, but it will still be quiet and not a riot of characters like at my sisters where there is lots of laughter and enjoyment, maybe I will get a Michael McIntyre dvd? Boost the laughter factor if she does decide to come? Anyhow I am procrastinating, I will start on my list.
