I have had my spend for today however I am only over by £1.90! I Earnt £40 - £10 doing laundry, £10 cleaning Kitchen and Fridge & £20 cutting toe nails!! I had overspent on groceries by £18.46 plus £4.80 spent on wrist rest, £6.25 on Persian rug mousemat, £6.00 on Scratch cards - I fancied a little flutter (Wasted in the end!), £5.49 Garage snacks , plus I rounded my bank balance (£0.90p) so there is an even amount in there.
With last night and today I feel I need a rest!! At least I have come back to a nice place, MD is Happy with my efforts and MD feels a bit better which is good.
So for the rest of today a little R&R is required!!Mission Number One: Get a job!

CrazyBee787 said:I have just finished reading a very successful mortgage free diary, they have about £20K left to go after a few years of chipping away from £70K, I am very impressed, I have also read some other stuff. All in all it has made me want to change my approach, My new theory is to save an EF Circa £6K and just lock it away, keep some money in the bank as a sort of buffer something like £3K then forget getting kitchen and floor done and just go mad at the mortgage...this is providing I have a job for the long term or I get a new job straight away when the contract comes to an end, I guess there is never 100% security.
Sounds like you dont need the stress of a lodger (or the wrong one). Loving the candle ornament btwDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

MD not in a good place with her catheter, I do feel for her. I am worried when she goes that I will have no one, No one ever calls me up for a chat male or female, family or friend...anyhow onwards.
The chores for tonight will be:-
1) Hoover
2) Bins
3) Clean bathroom
4) Put washing away.
5) If I can and I am willing Mop the floors.
6) Clean desk.
7) WFH Update SS.
8) R&R
Tomorrow I don't think MD will be up for the Arts and Crafts session we had planned, we will just chill out instead, part of the groceries is a danish for us each tomorrow morning after my shop arrives, and MD wants me to get groceries from the local for her and SFD tomorrow as usual.
I am not looking forward to the chores, It will be the case of eat dinner, chill get bored then do them, like ripping off a bandaid! I will feel better when it is done.🏋️♀️😊🏋️♀️

Technically my CC bill is higher then £450 however I am expecting yes you got it, another refund, this time MD is partially to blame. She unearthed a desire of mine to get a commercial blender, I looked and found some in the sale she wanted one too so my CC has two on it, (She was going to repay me out of the money I owed). However I backtracked and they cancelled however, they also reacted to a previous message where we ask for one (MD wanted one) and now MD has received one, but she is now re-considering having one and may want to return it as it is quite big. Which puts me off it more as I have no space for it. Anyhow long and short of it, the credit card bill will be £403.12 after the refund has come in, which is what I was aiming for, so I would say it is almost a success.
Gosh I thought I had got control of myself then factor in MD and it all goes out the window, I feel a bit put out about it, it is like the world is trying to get me to spend money, and I am trying to save it as I can't afford a car and I will need one in the future, besides I should have more then a months money in my bank!! and I don't even have that!
It is like why is everything against me? and my goals, anyhow this goal will be rectified one way or another. Not a no spend day today as I have been to the garage I took SFD to the Doctors and felt as though everything went awry I would get lunch out, poor idea. MD also said I could have the blender, if I wanted it as a gift...she is very sweet, I think she is now undertsanding how important it is to me to reach my goals.
This all sounds like a crazy persons story, well hello I am not named crazy for no reason!! Anyhow I will chalk this month up as a successfull month albeit the face of it does not quite line up to success.
I hope you all feel less crazy and are doing better then okay.
Sometime later... I have agreed with MD that I will pay half of the smoothie maker, so I should get a refund for the one they didn't send plus I can take half the money from MD which is money to go back to her...so therefore I have spent £470.92 That is overbudget - so no not a successful month in the end after all that!!Mission Number One: Get a job!

18/19 No spend days although technically I did spend money just not my own. I was given £20 for fuel for taking sfd to doctors, I was also fed today as I dropped in at the fish and chip shop for everyone and got given the money back. My credit card is fractionally less now, at £47.19/£400 budget. Also I need to earn at the end of the month £1686.12 which in theory should be doable. I had some chocolate also today all within the £20. (£3.99).

19/19 No Spend days - I don't feel like doing anything right now, one of my inner voices caught me out on some instigating office politics, previously I have been really strong and held my tongue, but this week has been really bad, I have made passing comments which either have been agreed or disputed, but I should not have made them, I should be better then this...why have I not got the strength to be a force of brilliance and refute office politics and general bitchiness. I feel bad now I will have a terrible weekend because of this, I wish I could go back in time and change what I said. I hope I have not jeopardised my position. XX
Sometime later....Okay so I can't put the cat back in the bag, but I haven't said anything detrimental and the person I spoke to pretty much said the same thing before me. I have just read a message and my boss is happy with me - so melt down over!!
Next thing I should do something tonight but I feel a bit lacking so I want to chill out and maybe doing stuff for MD and SFD all over the weekend is too much, I will take their groceries tomorrow as planned but then come back nice and early so I can do some housework - Potentially do a bit tonight if I can get to that point.
