It looks like I am going to get my Christmas Wish, I have decided that I will save £3500 for an EF which I should achieve January 1st (actually before) and I should be able to make the first of many (I hope) OPs to my mortgage. I am planning on stopping at 3.5K and really focus all my efforts on getting the mortgage down. This mortgage-free-wannabe diary is going to get some mortgage repayment action and soon!

I have decided to keep using MDs car for the forseeable, save enough on the EF (£3.5K), and then focus on the mortgage and getting that down, this is what I have wanted to do for some time. I am not there yet but this is now in my sights, I have wanted this for so long. I know it sounds morbid, but I hope I don't succeed at paying off the mortgage in quick time then not enjoy having it paid off because I die! That would suck. And other poeple would get to enjoy my money, People I am not particularly keen on. I don't have a will because I want my mum to gain on my death which she would, But if she were to go, I have no one I think yes I will give them the money. Which I would love to change.

Anyhow I am super psyched that I will get my Christmas wish and start seeing the mortgage come down seriosuly, I love how @Jessy103 has paved the way of what could be done on a mortgage journey. So here's to getting that EF and finally starting the Mortgage payemenst or at least it is in sight! 🍀🍀😊😊🍰🍰🍀🍀

I am on £894.16/ £600 which is 149% utilised, I am on 10/12 No spend days with 10 days left of the month, aiming for 11 today, although I have woken absolutely famished, I can have brekkie, but it is not likley to sustain me and I will get snacks! I will try to just have toast or home cooked foods only. I have £2000/£3500 EF which is 57% of the way there, aiming for £600 to add at the end of the month which would make it 74% of the way there. I would really like to get the cat emoji on no spends as I think it will bring luck, so really aiming to add another 5 no spends to the pot, so to speak! Good luck to all on their own endeavoursXX

🐱  Gosh that's small. POA = Power of Attorney - something your mum should have?A legal document that gives someone the authority to act on another person's behalf. The person giving the authority is the "donor," and the person receiving it is the "attorney. My mum had one so when she ended up being registered blind (macular degeneration) I could pay her bills and handle hospital appointments etc.

Power of attorney. You get 2 types. Financial & health. Best to have both.

I have added today as a no spend day, I have only eaten my dedicated snacks and I even missed a snack (Yoghurt!). Tomorrow the locksmith will do his work and Then that is done, also I should get the toilet seat delivered, then I can arrange to get that installed along with the mirror. I would do it myself and have done in the past however they all come loose, so I need a man! (don't we all!) (Unless of course you are a man!!).

Anyhow on to other subjects I did a bit of extra in work tonight to do a better job, so I am pleased with what I have done and things are going well on that front. Lodger came off his bike and is hurt but not hospitalised he has gone to work today, his gal is coming tonight to stay over and I will be working from home tomorrow and for the rest of the week. And I have another meeting which is to go over the ledger with the big boss - Not looking forward to that I can tell you, although I am getting more used to it.

I also did a bit of cross stitch in my lunch half hour and I feel I can do more, so I will sort the dishes out and then get to it. Have a good evening allXX

I have a big day at work today with seeing big boss and giving a good representation for the place I work. (As I work for a company that contracts out the work for another company). I had a bit of knightmare last night where I dreamt that I befriended an alien and they took me to their homeland and said I could bring a person with me, I brought my mum and she died on the journey, I felt so sad 😒😒😒and regretted my decision. Still feeling a bit sad about it, which is sillyXX

The meeting today went well and I have been asked that maybe I could do some overtime to cover colleagues sickness, depending on if she comes in or not. She thinks she may have covid and is proper poorly, I am not sure if she will be back tomorrow. It is quite bad if she doesn't have the cash because she is ill, I think it is just statutory sick pay, I will look into it when I am less tired.

Dinner is on and I am super hungry, I feel good that I stuck to limited snacks that I have in and have not gone out and got any extras, also I used up some Over eggs, only a day over, there are still a few left I may make that cake, yes that is set I will and use them up all 4 of them! Have a good evening allXX
