Afternoon all, Hope everyone is doing well. I had a peaceful Christmas day and was in bed yesterday with a sickness bug, so I will take it easy today but need to get a few things done.
My list for today
Look at furniture sales as needing a few things for the house
Declutter the dining table
Tidy up the kitchen
Get kids to put their festive presents away
Sort Mr T order for delivery tomorrow
Check the date the kids go back to school
Have some me time

In between reading I have walked Poppet for a second time and s&sd downstairs toilet and the bathroom. Curtains are closed now and I'm going to relax for rest of day.Spend less now, work less later.9

Long walk with Wren early this morning, then lots of work at my desk, then filing and putting away, and we started opening Christmas presents! Thank you Secret Santa - I love it.Better is good enough.8

No real plans for today but I expect dog walk, dailies and my book will feature somewhere.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all
The fog continues, but I need to get out today. Vague plans have been made for a trip to the seaside, we shall see.
Flying has been minimal but much of the LR and kitchen is covered in Christmas gibble so it's pointless. The important bits of the kitchen and bathroom are clean.
Oh and it's Saturday everyone, just in case you need reminding, have a good day x9 -
Morning all,
Thank you for the reminder, YL. I have got to the point of counting the days back on my fingers to work out what day it might be.
Not a lot planned for today, apart from being nominated driver to drop DD to meet a friend this evening, and pick up again later. I am going to change the bedding when DH emerges, as I am out of routine and need to pull it back in line. I did write a list last night, so I guess that I ought to unearth it. Yesterday I did vacuum through downstairs which will have to do until I put Christmas away.

Morning all xx
I'm ready for a second brew Fayolle. Thanks.
I'm up, made my bed, turned over the calendars, taken my meds, brought down the laundry hamper, completed Strands with two hints, completed Wordle in four, completed Connections with two lives lost, and supped my first brew.
Thank you for confirming tis Saturday YL. I worked it out while I was in bed as I didn't know if I ought to be getting up and ready for work or not. Good to have my calculations confirmed. 🤔
I was at work yesterday. Just the three of us. An office each. Quite enjoyed it. Although I was convinced yesterday was New Year's Eve for some reason. Horrible drive home in the fog though. Glad to arrive home and get cabinned in.
I need a list. I'm most discombobulated.
Saturdailies
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
WUDUPA
Don't need to reset the bins as I did it in the week.
I think today is a good day for setting up my calendar for 2025. It NOT being New Year's Eve....are we sure it isn't?
Have a good one. Stay safe if travelling.

Morning all, hope everyone had a lovely couple of days over Christmas ☺️
Thank you to my Secret Santa I absolutely love it 😃❤️
Not a lot really happening today, just pottering around doing little bits and bobs.
I must get myself back into flying properly in the New Year, I've let things slip since we moved...l

We now have enough sweet and sour turkey to last us into June, and there's still a lot of meat on the carcass that I'll deal with tomorrow. There's a loaf in the breadmaker to turn into turkey sandwiches that'll go straight into the freezer for when we need lunch on the run while we're out. I've prepper supper so Belovéd will be putting that together. Other than leeks in cheese sauce it's all leftovers. The Six Hat Thinking is helping getting my head around a different approach to decluttering and my tendency to hoard, but I now need to start background reading. Fortunately the library had Mario Kondo's book on the shelves and the librarian recommended a couple of others she said were useful when she did her big declutter - when MK's book was first published I knew buying it would be self-defeating. It's much easier for me to acknowledge already that I really don't need to keep random things that I think I should use but for one reason for another just haven't after a long while, so the CS pile is growing, the brown bin will be full when it's due to be emptied in nine days time and there will be a large haul going to the scrapstore. I've got far enough into Kondo's book though to recognise that a major declutter is necessary, and this piffling effort nibbling around the edges isn't going to solve the problem here. If it were I'd be decluttered already because I've been trying that for a few years. A final push is the only answer.Better is good enough.7
