Yep I got the seat cover from a bike type placeany bike shop should do em, like Halfords. You just sort of slip it on over your seat & secure it with a toggle.

True, but I'm sure mum would have been glad to pay double as long as she knows her baby is healthyDebt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Hi all,
I've managed to do a couple of extra shifts at work to bring in a few pennies. And now I have no car tax or insurance to pay out. My mum owes me £120, which she will pay me mid-June, and I should receive my car tax refund soon.
All this means I should be able to scrape together £1000 by the end of June, and hopefully pay off the final loan and get rid of the nasty HFC! Going on previous settlement figures I'm expecting the final payment will be just under £1000.
I have to be very careful with my outgoings in the next month & half, as my finances will be very tight to make sure I can collect the £1000.
I've had to buy some lights for my bike to make me night legal  but I have to question every purchase, if it's not vital, I must not buy it. I have Shadows booster, flea treatment and worming tablets to pay out for next Tuesday, but I will catch the bus to the vets instead of taking the easy option of a more expensive taxi.
Once the last loan is cleared, I will only have the credit card to focus on, with the monthly loan payment of £85 freed up, it shouldn't take long to clear this!:D
Weight wise things are going well, I've lost 3 lbs this week, which means I'm only 5.8 lbs away from my mid-June target of 14 stone. Then I can focus on the next target.
The landlord hasn't painted the bathroom yet, as the plaster is still not completely dry in the corner, but we have pencilled in Thursday this week, it should be dry by then, it's been 2 & half weeks already!
I think my laptop is on it's last legs, it keeps blipping off with no warning. It happened twice while I was chatting to my friend online the other day, and just happened again after writing this huge post, which I've had to re-type! Looks like the saxophone won't be the first thing I buy after I'm debt free! I'm also still watching tv on the tiny 9 inch screen, as I am holding out buying a new tv to replace the one that blew up.

Is the laptop fan OK? Turning off without warning is commonly due to overheating.0
