Neither can I! It's so close now I can taste it :D

Builder came today & ripped down the ceiling. He was going to put some of the boards back up but apparently there is nothing to nail them to. So he is coming back tomorrow with some wooden batons to finish it off.

Dropped my bike at Halfords today to get the brakes replaced, looks like it just needs new brake cables & handle grips, shouldn't be more than £30. I'm picking it up tomorrow, I think I shall walk in and ride it home. Getting it into the back of the car to take it there was a nightmare, I've only got a small Corsa! Rather not bother trying again.

Just got back from the gym, it's been raining heavily here this morning and I was expecting the running club to be cancelled. But it brightened up by late afternoon so I was hopeful. However I got down there to find both the instuctor, and the substitute instructor off sick  so I just did my usual routine in the gym.
Next week, unless I can swap my shift, I won't be able to go.
My leg was aching after my set so a rest day due for me tomorrow.

Excellent news on both the ceiling and the bike Raph - not so good on the running though *sigh*

At least it wasn't a wasted journey, the run starts from the gym, so at least I was able to get some exercise in. I did feel a little fed up thou.

 at there being nothing there to put the boards on, but so happy for you that it is finally getting sorted out.

Great to hear that the bike needs so little doing to it. I don't blame you walking there to ride home though seriously the mind boggles how you got it in your car to get it up there! Also if you walk and ride back it saves your diesel.

Maybe the rain was trying to tell you that the running class was not to be. At least that is one thing, you could still do your normal routine when you got there, as opposed to it being a wasted trip.

Ooh, unknown3rd, I was excited to see you've posted on my thread again! :D
All is going good, apart from Shadows eye is eeking green gunk. Mum reckons it might be a grass seed irritating it. She says washing it out with a cold tea bag should clean it.

Just got in from picking up the bike. £23.89 for new brake cables & grips & service, not too bad. I cycled it home & even managed to cycle up a small hill!!

eewwww at shadows eye! Sounds like something irritating it. haha though at the thought of you trying to wash it out since haha who bets Shadow does not keep still and would prefer to eat the cold tea bag instead.

That is good. Less than you were expecting to pay and you got all that for that price. :D at you managing to even cycle up the hill. Really shows your gym work paying off.

What a difference a day makes eh?!
This morning I have tripped down the one & only stair in my house, and I think I have twisted my ankle. I feel sick & dizzy, and all I want to do is go to bed gaehn3.gif but can't until the builder is finished (bout 12.15 he reckons)

And I've just had an email off my Dad, saying him & his girlfriend are splitting up! :( Aparently it's amicable but still a shame, they were lovely together.
*sigh* Oh well, life goes on. o4fsad.gif

    Aaaaaaaand it gets worse. o4fsad.gif

Spoke to my Mum today, her dog, Chloe, is being taken into the vets. They've found a lump on her tummy and reckon it might be the big 'C'. They are going to cut it out & send it for a biopsy, at the cost of around £1000!! n1qshok.gif

Mum was worried about telling me thay they now can't loan me the money. But like I told her, it's not the important thing, and even if they had the cash and said no I'd have understood, after all it's their money and my debt.

I went into town and got a settlement figure from HFC, working on previous settlements I guessed that it would be about £1000, and I was right! £1071.28.
So I won't be able to pay it this month, and as I have MOT & Shadows booster due end of this month, I don't think I can manage June either.
I'm hoping the car will pass straight thru the MOT, as it will be alot easier to sell it with 12 months MOT rather than 1 month!
If it fails, depending on what's wrong, it won't be worth paying for repairs, if I only want £250 for it, and the repairs cos £200, there is no point. We shall see what the end of the month brings.
