    Gah!!
Just woken up, gone out to the bathroom & there is a crack in the ceiling & water dripping rapidly out!! Quick call to the landlord & he's going to pop by later for a little look-see. That's one good thing about renting, it won't be me who foots the bill. Poor landy thou!

I was planning on going to the gym about 4pm, but not sure what time he's coming round. The latest I can go today is 5.30, which means I will finish about 7.30. They shut at 8pm on a Sunday so should give me enough time, hopefully landlord would have been round by then.

Hmm, better have a quick tidy up before he pops round! Oh and I should probably get dressed too!

Well, landy came in time, so I managed to get to the gym. Another full 15 minutes running! :jI've picked up the application form for the running club at the gym, I'm going to ask Simon on Thursday if he thinks I'm ready to start running outside. The beginner club starts at 14+ min miles, with lots of stops. At the moment when I manage to run the full 15 minutes I'm running a distance of 1.86 km, which I think is just over a mile, so should be perfect for me to start with.

Landy is going to be coming tomorrow (I think) with a builder to rip down the soaked plaster. Luckily the leak was above the bath, so all the water went straight down the plug hole. I think the landlord wants to leave the ceiling down to dry out for a week, so I won't be able to use the shower, it won't put me out too much cos I can use the shower at the gym.

Well, weighed in today, I think I've more than made up for the last 2 gains. A loss of 5 lbs! yes2.gif Happy or what?!!
This also means I have broken the 15 stone mark, and I now weigh 14 st 13.2 lbs!! :D

Monday night is usually my treat day, and I was planning on having chop, mash & gravy tonight. But this has spurred me on to keeping it up. Still having the chop, but with salad instead. I did have a sausage sarnie for breakfast (which was lovely) so that's my treat for today.

I'm itching to go to the gym tonight, but I know I need to have a rest day, my right knee is aching. Makes a change from being able to go & don't want too!

No sign of the builder yet, no call from landy either  so I suspect he's coming later this afty.

I really wanted to go, but knew I'd be pushing myself too hard, I'll only get injured again and have to sit out for another two weeks! So I had my rest day.
Just got back from the gym today. Handed in my form for the running club, it's on tuesdays, but I don't want to start til next week. When I got back from the gym I took Shadow out for a jog, that's right, a jog!!
I didn't keep to a run/walk pattern, just did what I could. It was more a sort of test, to see the difference in running outside, and to see if Shadow would behave on the lead while I was running. She was very good, apart from crossing in front of me twice & almost tripping me! Shadow loved the change of pace, and it was nice to see her trot like the dobi's on Crufts, cos usually she sprints.
It was difficult for me, cos I couldn't keep the same pace, at the gym I can set the treadmill to a speed and keep it there, I had no idea if I was running too hard. I suppose it's just practice, and being with a group it should be easier.

Still not heard from the landlord, I've told him I've got tomorrow & thursday off, so hopefully I'll get a call soon.

Took Shadow out for another run when I finished work this morning, poor poochy collapsed on the floor when we got back in, I don't think she can keep up with the fit new me :rotfl:
My leg muscles were aching when I got up today, I've got my gym review with Simon tomorrow, so had the day off from the gym today.
Going to try and make a beef & mushroom pie for my dinner, and enjoy the last can of beer in the fridge drink.gif

Still nothing from the landlord  he's usually very good with stuff like this.

  • Hi,

I think you should pay off the highest interest first as this will save you money in the long run and also if you desperatly needed money it would be available on the cc.

Alternatively you could see if you could get a 0% deal on another cc and transfer the balance (appologies if you have already thought of/tried this), then concentrate on the next highest interest loan.

    Good luck

I rang landy earlier, he's found where the leak was coming from and fixed it. Builder is coming round on tuesday, which is handy as it's my day off.

Thanks for the advice, but I've recently been refused a credit card, so can't do this. I shall keep plodding away at the credit card thou.

Had my gym review today (finally) my results...
    Body fat %
    Was 46.9% ~ Now 44.5%, so a drop of 2.4
    Fat mass
    Was 7 st 2.6 lbs ~ Now 6 st 7.4 lbs, a drop of 9.2 lbs
    Weight (according to gyms scales)
    Was 15 st 4.4 lbs ~ Now 14 st 9.4 lbs, a drop of 9 lbs :D

Simon also upped my exercise. I'm now doing 20 mins on the bike, 20 mins on the treadmill. I've dropped the x-trainer and instead I'm using the rowing machine.
I've also been given some weights that should strenghten my muscles used for running.
I told him I'd passed in my form for the running club and he was all for it.
I managed to run the full 20 mins on the treadmill! So feeling really chuffed with myself.
