Yep, my brother is down, and my dad might be down too. I've not seen either of them since Christmas, so it would be great to lose a couple of stone before I see them! :D So far so good!

  • What are you doing to lose weight? I want to lose 2 stone (at least!) but I cant get myself motivated at the mo.

Basically I've just changed my eating habits, salad instead of chips, fresh fish, snacking on fruit. Lunches at work are usually just fruit, or sometimes a bowl of fruit & fibre. Also smaller portions, I used to have plates piled high, but now it can stretch me 2, sometimes 3 dinners!
I really enjoy cooking so making dinners from scratch is great. I don't do much exercise at the moment, apart from walking Shadow, and now my yoga, so I plan to up it a notch soon.
Being motivated is the key, I really want it now so I'm throwing myself in fully. I'll put my food diary on here if it helps? I also allow myself small treats every now & then, if you deny yourself anything you'll only end up craving it more. Today I'm having...
B ~ Bowl of plain porrige (Ran out of jam! And don't like sugar)
L ~ Salad with feta cheese. Half melon. Low fat bio yogurt.
D ~ Grilled chop with mash & gravy (my treat dinner for this week) I chop up spring onions into the mash, gives it a lovely flavour.
Lots of fruit during the day too.

Ooh! I won £10 at bingo last night! Tickets were £12.50 so it almost paid for them! :D I won on the first line of the evening!

When I took Shadow up on the moors the other day I found a rams skull, I bought it home & cleaned it up. It's up on my wall now hanging above my horror DVDs. Everyone in work thinks I'm weird, don't know why  :rotfl:(mum hates it!)

  • Oops I have been a little naughty! I had a free day pass to use the local Cannons gym, and I ended up signing a 12 month contract! :o

It's £43 a month, which works out to just over £10 a week. I was planning on going swimming once a week, which would cost me £4-£5 so this isn't too bad as I can use the gym, the swimming pool and join classes at the gym, and it's also a lot closer.
I don't have to pay until March, so I have the rest of February free, and I have 10 days to change my mind.
I also got a free MP3 player too!

The loan I've paid off was costing me £45 a month, so I'm still £2 up :D and I reckon I can still pay the last HFC loan in May.

I enjoyed my first gym session today, 10 mins on the bike, 10 on the x trainer, 5 on the treadmill!! and 5 mins on the rowing maching. Followed by a swim & 5 minutes in the sauna.

I think know I will keep it up, as this time I really want to lose weight and tone up. Plus I'm a little wiser with my money these days, I definately don't want to waste this money by not going.
Also I'm being realistic, I'm not going to force myself to go every day, as I know I will flag and give it up. I'm aiming to go at least 3 times a week, hopefully more. I want to go as much as possible this month as it's free til March!
    Contract is 12 months minimum.

Well I've just paid off HFC 1, so that leaves me with £45 'spare', I've put it into my budget spreadsheet & I think I can still manage May for the next loan.
