Raphael's DFW Diary ~ The beginning of the End

Hey all,
Yesterday was an *interesting* day. I was woken up by work ringing me at 6.10am, I was supposed to be at work at 6!
Then in work I found out one of my collegues (who is on leave) had been talking about me & someone else, about how we can't do our jobs properly! Damn cheek! I think I am very competent in my work, I've been here over 6 years!
Then a manager had a go at me for an incident that went on the day before, a couple of the staff were messing around and as I am in charge it is my responsability to keep them in check. He soon shut up when I told him the incident happened at 3pm, and my shift finished at 2! (Didn't apologise thou!)

I'm still doing well with food too, yesterday a girl at work gave me her HM roast to take home, she didn't want it. A couple of weeks ago I would have polished the lot off, but I looked at it and decided it was too much, so I had half & I'm having the rest as bubble 'n' squeak today!

When I got home from work yesterday I picked up my mail, my settlement confirmation for HFC 1 has arrived! Can't wait til Feb now!

Woop! Another 1.4 lbs lost this week!

Just texted my brother to tell him, I'm keeping him updated each week, mainly to gloat encourage him to get on with his side of the challenge. He's sent off for his provisional licence, but says he has no money for lessons yet (dispite just booking a holiday to Gran Canaria :rolleyes:) He replied "Sound's like you're serious on this"...Uh...YES!! Looks like I'm in the lead so far!

Settlement cheque & letter has been written out and is sat waiting to be posted. I've dated it for 8th Feb, as that is when I'll have enough wages in the bank to cover the cheque. Must remember to cancel the DD when I post it too!

Woohoo!! Cheque has been posted!

I hope nothing major will come out of my bank in the next few days as I only have £6.41 until my wages go in on friday.

4 months! I wish Pap! September is my target at the moment. Hopefully with loads of extra shifts and cutting back I can bring it forward even more. Thou I think shortening my Debt Free Date by 12 months is quite an achievement (even if I say so myself)

Indeed but I think you are going great! Here's hoping for a virtual "knee's up" when you get there!

I should hope so! but seeing as we cannot all get to be with you, we will all have to have our drink and nibbles of choice at home and just chat with you on here!

never say never hun... i bet you could do it. But as you say 12months is amazing anyways... what would you like to do when you become debt free?
