I see your point about the petrol. You could see how much you spend on petrol then reduce you cards limit leaving a little leyway on it.

Just wanted to post a pic of my terramundi
Sorry the quality is bad, my phone doesn't have a flash.
I've not posted in the last few days, cos there's not been much to update over. I've been paid my extra pay for the christmas/new year period (thou I've not been in to work for my pay slips, so haven't been able to check if I've been paid right.
My mum is down for the week so we're off for a carvery on Sundaythat's gunna be delish!
I've been really good on the eating front, lots of salads, fresh fish & tons of fruit. Hopefully it will show on Monday when I hop on my scales.
edit: Ooh I forgot to say I have spent the last two days painting my kitchen blue. The paint was supplied by the landlord, and I borrowed a paint tray, roller & brushes from a friend so no spend! It's looking very nice if I do say so myself. Even if Shadow is now running around with a slightly blue ear  silly pooch brushed against the wet wall.

 Gah!! Had a bad day today.
I have gained 0.2 lbs despite being very very very good food wise all week!
And my car has died, I have AA breakdown cover, but it doesn't cover home starts. It is costing me £35 to get the garage to tow it up to them.
At least I only work across the road, I can walk in.
On the plus, brand new Spendaholics on tonight

 My bad day yesterday is turning into a bad week...
This morning my alarm went off at 4.30 am, instead of switching it onto snooze I switched it off! I woke up at 5.45am, 15 minutes before my shift. I did manage to get in just 5 mins late thou.
Walking to work my brolly snapped in the pelting rain. Would have driven in, but my car is in the garage.
During work one of the girls kept niggling at me, keeping me in my bad morning mood all day. (I'm not a morning person but usually brighten up about 7am.)
I rang the garage when I finished work, and they said there was nothing wrong with the alternator, the battery was a dud. So as my battery was still in it's 3 year warranty I decided to take it to the battery place.
I thought I would walk Shadow up to the garage, killing 2 birds with 1 stone, so I got changed into my combats & scruff t-shirt. I got halfway there & it started hissing down. By the time I got to garage I was soaked and freezing cold.
I paid the £44.65  towing fee plus vat, they jump started me and I drove to the battery place (I panicked on the way as the electrics cut out for a sec). The battery place checked the battery, they said the battery was fine, just drained, due to a faulty alternator. They are charging my battery (which I have to pick up on Fri) and loaned me a temp one.
I drove back to the garage (not able to use the heater as it would drain the temp battery) they rechecked it and said 'Oops it is the alternator.) So I left the car there and had to walk back in the biting wind & rain again.
It wasn't until I got home that I realised I left my stereo in the glove compartment of my car, meaning I can't listen to music on the way to work tomorrow.
Then I got in and give Shadow her dinner, and I poured gravy all over my hand.
If it rains tomorrow morning on the way to work I'm in trouble, as I have no brolly & no car!!
On the plus side I did find a penny in the back alley when putting out my bins. It's now in my terramundi.

sounds like you have had a very bad day. What did the garage say about getting it wrong? How much will this new part cost? When will you get your car back?

They said because the battery was dead (which it was) the alternator problem wasn't flagging up. My step-dad reckons a new one will cost about £60-ish (plus labour of course) I can pick up the car after work tomorrow.
I have the money spare on my credit card, but obviously it's a bill I could have done without! Really not sure wether to pay HFC 1 or credit card in feb now. I want to get rid of another loan, but now I'm thinking I can leave the money on my card for emergencies like this.
I think in the end it will depend on the final settlement figure on the loan. If it frees up say...£200, then I can stick that on the card. If it only frees up say...£50, I will shove it all on the card.

Ask the garage - will they be able to source a reconditioned alternator or have yours repaired? We've saved people quite a bit doing that.
