Woot! £399 later and I have a new laptop!!

All connected to the net & working. Next step is to get a wireless connection, now that I don't have to keep the power plugged in I can go mobile!

I know I said I'd wait til Friday, but I checked my budget, and I had the funds available. Now all I need to do is save up again to pay off the loan.

Well I'm back all internetted up. :j

I've managed to transfer all my important files (including my budget) between the old laptop blinking off. Quite annoying when I had to keep struggling to load it up and keep it on long enough to burn the files to disk.

Checking my budget it seems I will only have another month to wait to pay off the last loan. So instead of Mid-June, it should be Mid-July. Unless something else pops up I just have to struggle thru another 30 days.

Shadow has had her yearly booster, shes got flea treatment to last the year, and enough worming tablets to last 6 months (vets wouldn't give me any more incase she gained weight, making the tablets too small). I have a big TV thanks to my friend, and a new working laptop. :T

The only thing I know I have coming up is my Granma's 70 birthday do, we're having a meal out & a bit of a knees up so not sure about spends. I've already given her a present (a jigsaw printed with a photo of her 4 sons as kids :D) so hopefully I can keep it low on the night out.
Oh! And I have my Meatloaf concert to go to :D so I'll need to buy a t-shirt or some memento.

I'm not expecting anything huge in the next few months so heres hoping the next 30 days will go as planned. Fingers crossed

Nope, at Plymouth Argyle Football stadium. Part of a two day event, last year we had Elton John and George Michael. This year it's Meatloaf, and Westlife the next day (I'm not going to Westlife).
I shall certainly think of you :p

  • Ohhh raph you seem to be doing well. Sorry about the pc, crossed wires I think but glad you sorted a new one. I know it will take you longer to pay off your loan but I think having support is well worth that month pushed back. Sounds like you have a few nice months coming up, hope you enjoy your grampa's birthday and your concert :j

Well it's the first of the month, another one down. Time to re-assess my goals for the coming 30 days.

    Money ~
I had a minor set-back when my laptop died, I was hoping to pay off HFC this month but the saved money had to go on a new lappy. With careful management of my pennies this month I reckon I can pay off the loan mid-July instead, so I'm only delayed by 30 ish days, which I can cope with.

    Weight ~
I have 2 weeks until my target date, and still 6 lbs to lose. I'm not going to do anything drastic to reach it, as I don't want to lose the weight too fast. I weight in tomorrow morning and I hope I've lost something, but I'm just proud of myself that I've gotten this close. I'm 14 stone 5.8 lbs, I've not been thins close to 14 stone since I was in school! :D
Time to start looking towards the next goal, now I'm aiming for 12 stone by Christmas. :D 28 lbs in 27 weeks, should be easy peasy! :p
