Decided to wear diamonds and pearls today although not real ones.  Feeling a bit like a guest at Downton Abbey minus their tiara.
  • Happy Christmas laissez-fairys, hope you all have a lovely day and festive period, ostenting marvellously of course. It's been a joy, thank you for joining in with A Very MSE Advent!

@ PennysIntoPounds LOVED the A Very MSE Advent! Mine was wear something nice each day in December that I already owned. So it could be a piece of jewellery, hair tie, a jumper, jeans, socks, shoes and so the list went on. It also made me organise my clothes better at night ready for the following day so all I had to do was get dressed up! :D<3

Thoroughly enjoyed our Advent together.  It's been lovely that we have re-introduced things that we haven't worn for years, worn things with special memories of loved ones and worn sparkly, glitzy stuff too.
I got some ultra sparkly earrings today so I'm wearing them as a post advent finale!
  • Thank you very much for this idea PiP and for the lovely posts from everyone on this warm and cozy thread. Wearing my advent earrings has made a bigger difference to how I felt than I expected when I started. I am planning to continue this for the rest of December. Thank you very much!

I agree. Making a tiny effort to do just one thing has been very uplifting for the mood.  I'm wondering if I could actually get into organising clothes better.  I usually just wear jeans and fleeces because my working day muddles with the horse stuff but I'm considering an over the door hook for the office and putting nicer tops there and maybe storing my earrings on my desk so on a working day I ditch the fleece and put on a better top layer with earrings.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • I'll continue too, can't resist the challenge of the Twelve Days of Christmas!

For 'A partridge in a pear tree' I've gone for a pair of art deco bronze earrings a friend gave me in the design of some sort of winged creature. I'm pretty sure they won't mind being partridges today

Watty1 - that sounds like a great idea.
PIP - I'm wearing drop (fake) diamond earrings that now I come to think about it are definitely pear shaped.
