I am laughing at that Pip.
Nothing to do with advent but I popped on a tiny pair of gold and pearl earrings (very tiny).   Have not worn them in years - they were a leaving gift from my Saturday job at "Timothy Whites"
Wearing with jeans and thermal and sweat shirt but this is better than them sitting in the box.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I'm finding it interesting just tryinig to figure out how many decades it is since I wore/bought some of mine.  Yesterdays I have no idea where it came from.  I don't remember buying or being given it but it could just possibly have been my mothers but it doesn't seem like hers so I am wondering if it could be my grandmothers.  It has "glass" jewels on a black elasticated fabric, that you pull over your head & is a close fitting necklace but not as wide as a choker would normally be.  As far as I know that is the first time I have worn it but it won't be the last.
So that has made me think - what about the roaring twenties.  Have you seen the things they wore round their foreheads.  Got to be my grandmothers (maternal) I always thought she had been a little fast.  But would elasticated fabric really last that long.
  • That sounds like a fabulous outfit @Watty1, and those earrings sound beautiful

It probably would if this is the first time it's been worn for most of a century @badmemory! How wonderful its being worn now 😊

So tomorrow we have Four Calling Birds... time to dig out bird themed jewellery, clothes, accessories- or phone four females 😁

And *is philosophical, Frenchly* while political unions come and go over the centuries, my love for a Breton style top never wavers

What a great idea.  Especially as when you are on your own the week between Xmas & New Year can seem very long.

    Awwww @Blackcats 😊❤️🤩 Lovely.

I am failing at the days of Christmas, however I am wearing one of my favourite pendants - a pretty, multi stoned tree of life / chakra colours one that I cleaned in the toothpaste mix in the ultrasonic cleaning bath  along with the pink garnet earrings I am wearing with them 😊
