A Very MSE Advent

I am told today is twelfth night though different sources say contradictory things so I'll be taking the main decorations down but also bleeding the radiator pipes and also pondering 'Twelve drummers drumming' for tomorrow- who's up for going out with a bang? (I'll get me coat)2
-
If it isn't twelve drummers drumming until tomorrow surely it can't be twelfth night today. Mine have always come down on the 6th anyway. I always miss something though.

Your game, your rules PIP!So pipers piping has been a tough one so I offer up the following tenuous attempts -
to be a good piper for piping I think you must need good breathing so today I completed a breathing meditation. Very nice actually and a good way to start the 11th or 12th day of Christmas
I was also reminded of meeting a part-time bagpiper who works on the self checkout section at a branch of Morrisons about as far south from bonnie Scotland as you can get. I'm still not certain how he came to verify my age for a bottle of wine and within seconds had told me he was a bagpiper and given me his business card! We have his card pinned to our noticeboard in case we even need his services 🥹. If only I'd planned today better!3 -
Blackcats said:@grunnie - glad we've cheered you up. It's been really lovely enjoying jewellery and other things we already own.perhaps your jewellery box rummage will give you something to celebrate 11 pipers piping? As you know our artistic interpretation is very loose - we've had owls as swans, tree of life masquerading as a pear tree and lots of other imaginative ideas. Or you could sort through your jewellery whilst listening to a favourite album of bagpipe music 🥹1

Aw that's lovely @grunnie, and I'm glad reading A Very MSE Advent cheered you up, hope you find lots of forgotten pieces that bring a smile in your jewellery box.
So tomorrow is our last day, and for 'Twelve drummers drumming' I'm going to keep it simple and focus on the 'Twelve'; at noon I will take a minute to reflect and raise a cuppa to all who've participated in this diary and all the many people in our pasts and presents who have been interwoven into our newly refreshed personal stories while we've embraced being conscious of and grateful for what we already have.
Thank you all for joining in, it has been an absolute pleasure6 -

The twelve days of Christmas in the Christian calendar actually starts on Christmas Day and ends on 5th January as the 6th is Epiphany. Hope this helps and I have loved reading all your lovely posts.2

Thank you @dizzydonkey2 - the 3 wise men must have been delayed in our MSE advent land!
lovely idea for our 12 o'clock celebration and reflection time.
It must have been such a good idea that our 12 o'clock ferry was cancelled to allow me to participate.
my finale is 1 drummer x 12 tracks as we are going to play our Phil Collins/Genesis playlist while enjoying our first night of holiday Chinese takeaway.
I've thoroughly enjoyed Advent and the 12/13 days of Christmas.
we've all been innovative and made the most of the lovely but sometimes neglected things we already have.
thank you PIP and everyone who has joined in or read along.
