I would tell them its being included in a DRO( google what that is) and a hearing is being held on say x date in Feb..

I will, thank you.
I have been thinking about the delay on this and if they had sent all these pcn’s to my home address and not received any response or payment would they not have taken this to court 5 years ago? This to me would suggest they didn’t send them. Also, would the legal team not have the file now and not just the ltd company?
I just don’t understand why I never received any of them. If I’d received one in 2019 it would have been enough for me to stop going anywhere near Argos car park!!0 -
No, G24 were not litigating back then, they had 6 years to sue you and others, but like many parking companies they chose to store them up like squirrels with nuts, then the pandemic hit, debt collectors and legal firms start hoovering up clients and start implementing the new or changed CPR, s and are being signed up in droves. G24 are late to the party, but its still a sharkfest
The legal firm possibly doesn't have your case yet, although many are hand in glove with each other, so the legal team may have it but choose the debt recovery method before starting proceedings
Frankly, its not worth assuming or any speculation, I definitely wouldn't be thinking that letters weren't sent out, they send out dozens or hundreds every working day, currently around 14.6 million pcns per year. Its inconceivable that dozens of letters were not sent out, more likely is an error in the RK details on the DVLA database
A SAR emailed to the DPO at G24 will produce the paperwork ect
Dozens of letters, PCNs and reminders have gone astray, you already have pages of details on the outstanding PCNs, you said so. Wondering how it got to this and trying to make your own version of events won't help you. This will end up in a court claim, probably via Moorside Legal who have been hoovering up clients at Parkex ( Moorside being fairly new on the scene. ) G24 and UKCPS are just 2 of the recent ones raising their heads above the legal parapet
It would appear that you are very new to this topic and naive, whereas those of us replying probably have over a decade of helping people with these matters, but legal action by smaller parking companies is a fairly recent tsunami4 -

They have only just started a possible path to litigation which has seen them trawl through old data (limitation period = 6 years).
So it's not surprising your data has been passed to DCB Ltd.
Do what I advised first. NOT THIS WEEK.
Then the suggestion by @Grizebeck could be step two in 2025 to really drag it out. Then there's another couple of steps once the case reaches DCB Legal.
DO NOT LET ANY LETTER GO COMPLETELY UNRESPONDED TO.
Show us each time and please also remind us each time of the Limitation Period (which month in 2025) you are aiming to reach. Otherwise we'll accidentally tell you to 'ignore the letters' which is wrong IN YOUR CASE.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Gr1pr- thanks, I am new to this. Never been in a situation like this before- hence all the questions. I am really grateful for all the advice you have/are all giving me.
Whenever I have had a parking ticket in the past- I’ve had a few- I have either had something stuck to my window/in the post, and paid it straight away. It angers/frustrates me that, having read so many posts about these companies over the last few days they don’t appear to be regulated AT all!!!1 -
Coupon-mad- will do- thank you!!

The DVLA of course are well aware for years of the scams (Hansard) that these unregulated private parking companies indulge in, but they have no qualms about giving out motorists private data to these entities.
https://thecomplaintsresolver.co.uk/private-parking-firms-issue-over-41000-tickets-a-day/
"The DVLA charges private parking operators £2.50 per record for Keeper details. This means that the DVLA received over £37.4 million in revenue and over £102,000 every day – an increase of over 16%."
"The unregulated private parking industry is worth nearly £1.5 billion pounds a year and is out of control."6 -
No, its not 'worth' £1.5 billion, it gets (or sucks out of the economy) £1.5 billion. Its virtually worthless because it does not deliver the benefits that it claims to.3
