Could I hitch a ride too?
I'm not sure how many of the different functions of the Sonic Screwdriver I'll be able to use. I'll post them later but I'll probably tackle the top 4 first.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

Well done everyone for a day spent travelling through time and space. Hope you have had some fun.I have been gifted some gf rolls and gf seeded bread - previously frozen; now defrosted, so my food over the next few days will centre around them.I also returned to my former place of work to have a stall at the winter fair. It was fab to see people and I made about £130 profit, which made me very happy. After chatting with one of the lovely PTA people, I now need to put a 4 or 5 week project/plan together for a Monday morning parents crafting sesh. Knock on the door and see if it opens for me.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Please count me in @apple_muncher (#18?). Well done on your craft sales & to the person who's sold lots on Eboy this weekend!
I prepped veg to make fridge gravel soup, but only getting round to cooking it now! It'll do for my work lunches for a few days anyway. Went for a walk with DH, then sat sewing all afternoon. This evening I've made some birthday & Christmas cards, using up bits given to me or that I've gathered over time.
Opened my calendar from DS1 & his GF, it was an orange crystal that was white on the back. Wish the calendar had a note of which each gem was! DH got thyme seeds in his.
Next week is my birthday. I have a year & a week until a big birthday, so I would like to get a bit fitter. My joints & back are very stiff just now, so little & often is my new mantra.
We are still saving for our house extension, though have been a bit lacking in this lately. The boys presents are all bought, & all the food apart from the veg, which I'll get when it's on offer (& extra for the weeks to follow).
I've got a big pile of sewing to work through, but will ensure I find time to do something that makes me HAPPY every day.
Today I'm grateful for getting out for a walk, opening my calendar, using up bits to make cards & a great thread.
My sonic screwdriver is poised & ready for action!!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

NSD #1 achieved today. Not feeling 100% so a quiet day spent at home mainly catching up on stuff on $ky+ planner. Dinner was leftover chicken sweet potato and lentil curry from the freezer so nice and low energy.Thankful for quiet day, simple dinner and not having to make the effort to do anything today, I think I needed that.
Tomorrow will be back to normal-loads to do round house and back to work so hopefully my quiet day today will have rejuvenated me a bit. Fingers crossed for another NSD though.8 -
Managed to resist the temptation of the record fair and then visitors bought me lunch so my first NSD! Grateful for my first Xmas card, pleasant weather and generous visitors.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Got my first NSD today. So letter 3 (C) under weigh.
I deliberately plan to buy fresh stuff during the month - and draw a budgetted amount of cash out for that purpose. So I've decided that I'm not going to count buying those things as spendy, unless I get other things besides IYSWIM.
Mind you, being December and going to a Christmas Market or two in a couple of weeks I'm not convinced I'll manage 15. But I'll try.
I notice that there are 5 finance-related letters in the screwdriver list. So tomorrow I'm going to finish off my banking and have a look at how I plan to tackle them - if I have to. (eg I don't guilt spend, so that's one down!)

Yesterday was not a NSD because I went to the local Xmas street fair - spent less than £15Baked my Festive Cake last night, the house still smells divine. Will feed it some Amaretto and cover it in marzipan.Today I have narrowly avoided a road rage event - there is some crazy driving going on right now - be careful!Money hit my bank account this morning, and half of it flew out again in bill payments, clearing the credit card, school kids' allowances, and the annual gas check payment.Other money shunted to savings, budget set, and .... ready, steady, GO for December!Volunteering has been cancelled for tonight so I am getting on with the cleaning so I don't have to do it tomorrow.Today should be NSD 14/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Advent gift for 1st November. On one of my frequent trips to the bin, I noticed that the library windows were covered up. I went to investigate and found an exhibition of photos by Ukranian artists accompanied by 'British words', commentaries and poems, reflecting on the photos and what 'Home' means to us. Other windows had words in cyrillic script by other authors. One poem said they were not leaving their home - it may be just a shell but it is still their home. A good time to reflect on what a luxury it is to have a roof over our head.
Slow progress (not giving up) but couldn't do some planned tasks as I can't find the little red notebook with family addresses in. I hunted for it a few weeks ago and thought it was 'safe' but it's now buried under everything I've tackled since. Two bunches of flowers will have to be sent at non- BF prices but think another offer has already popped up in my inbox. Whatever, not going to fret until I find the red notebook.

I was hoping for a NSD, but was scuppered by having to pay 30p to print out a return label at the library, to return something to a tech company who apparently don't do QR codes
Anyway, done now and I can send the dratted thing back! Nothing spent apart from that.
Went for a walk with DD this morning to do some of her Christmas shopping, so certainly got my steps in today.Blood test at the surgery this afternoon, and afterwards went to the library to get the printing done.Feeling very stressed and anxious today. OH thinks it is related to my brother's recent illness and death. He may be right, though I haven't been consciously thinking about it. Anyway, I have done lots of the admin stuff that was piling up now. Prescription ordered, dog's flea stuff ordered, etc. Still some to do. I still have the car insurance docs to read through and business stuff to sort out, but not today!7
