laura, please don't beat yourself up about 'failing'. You haven't failed - cos turtles never fail! We might fall down or need to sit down for a while; we might take a look back and realise what didn't go so well. But remember that it is a constant learning process. The only one who I have ever come across who was able to meet every part of these challenges was ninjasavingkat herself - the originator of us turtles. We are her legacy!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5

Thank you apple, I will keep your kind words in mind
These challenges do help me, beyond the financial aspect, to be noticing these things and being aware that I keep filling my time with all the duties and not enough downtime and time for myself. But you are right, turtles don't fail, I will rest for a bit and will work on adapting my pace to my needs, which can be a great mantra for the next few weeks! Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

Today I am grateful for our loo roll delivery arriving, for Pip going to sleep over at a friend's, for visits from the two local kitties, for the air fryer inspiring dh to cook!

You've not failed @laura_lau. Sometimes things are out of our control, but remember tomorrow is a new page of a new chapter of our lives. It is blank to be filled with whatever story we choose. Make it a good story 😀
Thank you for all your positive thoughts for DS.

Woke up to very strong winds & a scattering of snow. This then changed to torrential rain, so a lot of the roads are flooded. Thankfully I didn't have to go anywhere, though vexed it wasn't weather for walking in.
Made soup with wilted veg & 8p carrots. This afternoon I did the ironing, then started a jigsaw. Everyone home was either in bed (ill/asleep) or wanting to do their own thing. Had a long bath, then DH said he'd watch a film with me. It's finished just in time for 'the bells'.
Wishing you all a very happy 2025, thank you for all your support & inspiration this year 😀🍾🥂Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
