Was very busy doing online advent calendar competitions. Have plans for a Christmas Fair, a houseplant swap meeting, and a football match to watch.
I also need to process a local gifted celeriac into soup for lunch. Free food! DH will undoubtedly spend £15 on a local regionally protected sourdough loaf from the artisan bakery to go with it.... we are so different.
Happy December Turtle friends!
Hope your calendar rewards you with a treat because you really are worth it. You can't convince everyone, but let's face it 49% of the population is below average intelligence and frankly they don't count. ✨✨✨✨

Hi @apple_muncher can I please join. I have not really signed out of November, but so be it. I am currently on NSD 2, I will try and rack up a good few due to amazing pre-Christmas planning! I am looking forwards to a comfy flight on the Tardis. Try to keep the spending at bay, and enjoy downtime and time with friend instead.

Awesome intro post. Thank you for taking the time to think that through and type it up for us.
im in again this month please. I’ve been counting fuel as spending so without that, my NSDs should be higher.
Can’t count today as I’ve just ordered an 8ft Christmas tree! Today will be all about clearing out my living room to accommodate it. I’ve planned for this tree since January. I was abroad last Christmas and barely decorated.
’Kids’ are out for a sibling Christmas dinner this afternoon. Ex-step siblings, full siblings and half siblings. No parents allowed. They may not be step-siblings as we’ve split, but the adult kids still meet up three times a year and consider each other kin. They do share two half brothers after all.
Handing over the advent calendars I have put together during the year. Themed for each child and grandchild. Permission given to open, giggle and dump the item.
Putting my worldly goods on Vinted as usual. Got to pay the Very debt down.

What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. (L Ellis)8 -
Happy December everyoneStrange weather today - we have had drizzle, heavy rain, dull cloudy stuff, and now bright sunshine. Not sure what will be next, but it is mild so no heating needed for now.I donated to an animal charity yesterday. No spending today, so NSD #1 it isI spent the morning sorting out items to take to my sales unit. I still have more to do, as it involves crawling about in the eaves cupboard and it makes my poor old knees ache
Might leave it for today though!
I sold £50 worth of tat on FB this weekend, and have listed a few more things. It is very hit and miss, but is free and no packing or posting involved. A little bit of space freed up.I made parsnip soup and a loaf for lunch. Lots left for another lunch (or 2, or more, in the case of the bread). This afternoon I will make a pie for dinner. I have the filling done and the pastry made so it is simply a matter of putting the two together and baking it.6 -
Celeriac was not souped, but it does make rather excellent pakoras, who knew? DH went off piste when I left him behind (but it looks like raiiiin ☹️) for the street fair. So the soup turned into samosas and pakoras.
I have decided to leave him behind if he changes his mind about going out anywhere this month. He keeps scuppering my plans. It worked well for no!vember but I am saying Yes! to everything free I am invited to this month.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
