Useful thought.Wordle in five, only one line on Connections so far and Strands with a few hints.Card book/album finished, now being squashed in the bookcase as it's fairly bouncy. I'm rather pleased with it so thank yous all round to the people who gave us a card. Much appreciated, and now we won't forget who was part of our day.I dusted behind the picutres in tthe bedroom and en suite. That's a job that should have been done several years ago. Dust bunnies all over the place. I can quite see how some elderly people lose control of their homes. I've lost control of this one and I don't consider myself elderly.

I am so pleased that we seem to have finished all the mortgage paperwork and made a really good stab at the questionnaires the solicitors sent. I am sure I don't have a speck of privacy left in the world between those two, but we'll get there.
Did some flying this morning in the garden - emptied all the sacks of rubbish left over from the summer, filled a bag with some odds and ends plastics that are not needed, and put the brown bin out for the very last time this year. And I also emptied the kitchen bin for the black bin, so we are starting on a positive note.
Saturday's job is the garden. Wish me luck.
Took a hint from a youtube video I watched "don't put it down, put it away" and so when all of our 'Black Friday' parcels arrived, I unpacked them all, put all the bedding in to wash, and put everything away. Also, I thought Black Friday was last week so... I have managed to do all of my shopping a week early?
It was all on sale anyway
I don't have a children's room or a spare room so for today, I am going to pick Wednesday again.
Wednesday ~ Master Bedrooms and Landings
Level One...
Remove floordrobe, make sure all clothes are put away neatly
Level Two...
Strip bed linen and wash, replace with clean linen
Vacuum floors in these areas
Level Two...
Vacuum mattress
Clean tops of drawers
Extra mission tasks, as always if you fancy an extra challenge try one or more of these- Clean windows in these areas
- Check through drawers, anything that should have been thrown out ages ago?
- Cobweb removal upstairs, go on grab a duster and swipe them down
- Clean the window.
- Clean light fittings and light switches in any room, more than one if you like
- Make sure the mortgage man is happy and make a to do list for this weekend because it's the last weekend before they come to take pictures of the house!

Behind the pictures on the top landing and stairs dusted, at least the ones I could get down and put back up easily were done. The bigger ones will have to wait until I feel the need to ask Belovéd to help to do them. I manged to break one antique hanging loop on top of a carved and gilded frame but apparently there is a wire on the back of that one. I didn't notice. Oops.Laundry folded and put away. It's been raining so everything's sodden so I'm reluctant to do the next load but tomorrow is the only day that's forecast dry and I've got a bunch of heavy winter tops I want to clear. Needs must.Minutes done. It's one of those jobs that I often procrastinate over and there's nothing to be gained by doing so. Glad I've done the first draft which I'll run by a couple of people before I circulate them. Not making that mistake again.Pizza dough started for tomorrow night because the recipe for this flour says to rest it for 24 hours in the fridge.Better is good enough.5

Went to the xmas tree festival in the-church-with-the-distinctive-spire and was surprised to spot mum's photo ona tree, from the Care Group she attends on a Friday (though she thinks she works there, tbh). Photos taken of tree and shared.
Lunch out was delicious though the service was poor. Been to oxfam and bank. Apparently things cannot be posted to Canada at the moment - issues getting deliveries there, apparently.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Did a whole range of flying this morning while Mr N was at the gym and the tree surgeons were getting to grips with some of our trees. It was pretty dot-to-dot, but the kitchen is now clear of anything not being used/preparing bits for the new pan stand Mr N is making/stuff that has just gravitated there. Floor swept. Sorted out old non-induction compatible pans and 3 consigned to garage ready to go to CS.
- vacuumed lounge and hall
- dining room table sorted as far as possible although it is still temporary storage for mugs, glasses and coffee machine until Mr N builds my coffee bar. 2 old, chipped cups put in bin. All kitchen stuff now moved to one end of the dining table leaving the other end for a box with all Christmas cards plus a plastic box to put the written cards in.
- rest of lounge tidied, removing old flower arrangement, bits of wool left over from sewing up knitting etc.
- went to what was meant to be a step class but I was initially the only one who turned up, perhaps owing to late change of instructor. After a discussion, she agreed to give me a PT session and we'd done 10mins when another lady turned up so we all did half an hour's HITT. Phew, haven't done that for a while.
- rang Mum's optician about replacing her lost glasses, established she wasn't due an eye test so just ordered what she had before. Unwelcome but unsurprising letter from care home announcing a £93pw increase from Jan.
- did some drumming practice
- wrote some Christmas cards
- went into town with Mr N to buy wood for my coffee bar and some proper coat hooks for the space under the stairs as the ones we've had for years are rubbish and everything falls off.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Thoroughly cleaned the bathroom, including taking everything out of the cabient and removing and washing the shelves, which I've been meaning to do for ages. Went out and did some food shopping for tomorrow when one of A's nieces and her husband and son are coming for lunch. Washed and dried the towels. I found the dust magent that I bought a while ago so actually did some dusting, which is a rareity for me, and so I felt very virtuous afterwards. I have to say those dust magnets are great and make dusting very easy. Perhaps I'll do it more often! Wraped 3 presents (one for each of A's nieces) and I'm hoping the one coming tomorrow will take them back with her to save me posting them. One is a (I think) very nice basket with a zip top that I bought online, heavily reduced in a closing down sale. It was difficult to wrap and I certainly don't want to have to post it.I'd better go to bed now as I need to be up betimes to prepare for the great arrival!7

Morning all xx
Did you know it's the weeeeekeeeennnd? Woot woot. Just in case anyone forgot 😊
I got up at 6.15 am. (I think I'm still running on BST!), made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, took my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Wordle in five, needed four hints on Strands (the penny only dropped when I worked out the spangram - which was the last thing I worked out!!!), and completed Connections with three lives lost. Phew! And I've supped my first brew.
That's a hefty hike Narc0 😳.
Valli - Pops lived in the town with a church with a famous spire for the first four years of his life, before being evacuated to the market town near here. He was actually born in Grimsby though- apparently my Gran was on a day trip! On 4th January???? Visiting rellies maybe 🤔
I'm full of mojo (hope it stays) so plan to get my Saturdailies done and then sort my lists into one. And maybe draw up a plan of campaign for December. Mojo rules 😊
