got connections, needed all 6 lives for wordle and i’m beginning to get the hang of strands, but using hints.
up at sparrowfart as i’ve got Top Gun coming to clean my hard landscaping. And terrorise the animals, no doubt.
Hoping to crack on with some admin while they are here.

Wordle in five, Connections with no lives lost and Strands with a few hints. Yams. Really? Both a bit over-tired this morning as the annual residents' association meeting got a bit out of hand last night. I knew we were in for a late one when the Chair put a bottle of whiskey in front of Belovéd, but I got a couple of things through that I wanted so it was worth it. Staying sober when everyone else is well away can be enlightening.Today I'll finish the book I'm making with the cards we were given for our civil partnership, put away some laundry and dust behind a few pictures. Not a job I like doing but the ones on the stairs and landings need it.Better is good enough.6

Plus, of course, if they are not compos mentis you've got pausible deniability - unless your minute taker is stunningly efficient!
While the water jetting is happening outside (I had forgotten what colour my patio was and the path-up-to-the-shed has two different colours of slabs - who knew) I've made great headway with the Christmas cards. I've done first paid shift, walked Poppet, done dailies and hoovered through. Only two lines on connections, strands with three hints. Admin is also up to date and prepped for December.Spend less now, work less later.7

Meal and ballet with stepbrother and SIL brilliant on Tuesday.
Voluntary work good yesterday, plus some of Mum's admin.
Today: keeping kitchen as tidy as possible considering it is still work in progress and there is stuff everywhere.
- Pilates
- Drum lesson; whew that was a fast one but still nowhere near Dave Grohl (working on 'No-one Knows by Queens of the Stone Age).
- Quite a big shop at Mr T
- Done several items of Mum's admin (including phone calls - eek) and crossed off list. DB is ploughing on with the house sale admin; I'm doing medical and miscellaneous! Was nearly trounced when trying to close her TopCashBack account as it asked for the name of 'your first pet' - remembered at the second attempt! Scanned and uploaded the various documents I've gathered to the shared folder with DB.
- Ordered some sticky labels with Mum's new address on, to go on the back of her Christmas cards in case anyone has forgotten - only £3.39 from Amaz00 for 65 labels so seemed a good idea. I helped her write some of her cards last week so she's ahead of me....although mine are out and will definitely be started tomorrow.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all xx
Jeepers. At this rate I'll soon be getting up before I've gone to bed!
I'm up (at 6am), made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, completed Wordle in four, completed Connections with two lives lost, completed Strands with no hints, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, eaten breakfast, and I'm supping a brew.
Assuming everything I've ordered arrives I'm on top of my Christmas shopping: just something else to get for P & S and I'm done. I've even sourced a 90th Birthday Dad card that doesn't cost an arm and a leg - so that's been ordered too.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for work. Friyayyyyyy woot woot.
Hope you had a fab birthday iona 🎂 xx
Love to all

Getting the hang of strands…only used 1 hint. Wordle in 4 but only two lines on connections.
WM x 2, TD x 1 and DW x 1. I’m pegging out the washing later but dried towels in the TD. Need to get the rest of the bedding ironed and airing as today is bed change day.
Going out with a friend to see a Christmas tree festival in a v. well known church. Then we are lunching in town.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
