Glad your parent is home
boo to the cat giving you extra stress and work - could you put it in a local cattery next time you are away ?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks all.
Cat cost over £500 Saturday only to be told cystitis. It was weeing blood. Last thing I needed. Still need to sort paperwork for insurance part. Paid half so far. Think they may only cover about a third.
I looked after sis's kids yesterday so she could go to multiple appointments and her husband could care for my dad.
Hospice staff coming in twice a day now plus district nurse for parent. Carers have been unhelpful. Asked for different referral to another team. Better meds in place now which is good.
I came back to parents today so a different sibling could take time out for their business. Feels like we are on a relay team. Another sibling arriving to support overnight carer etc soon.

If the vet recommends cystease for the cat, it can be bought over the counter for a fraction of the cost and you can give a preventative dose.
Sounds like everyone is working together to look after parent, hope support improves soon.3 -
