DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thinking of you and sending gentle (((hugs))) XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

Thanks all.
Parent still holding on. Hope they may be able to come home and have palliative care. Bed and equipment delivered yesterday. Bit of a rota with siblings and brother flew back yesterday. He's coming to help for a few days. Earlier in the week we doubted parent would last this long.
I had to go in the garden and grab the cat 🐈 when he was at a lower level the other day.
I didn't work Tuesday but did work part of yesterday. Unlikely to work today but hope to tomorrow. Otherwise have to take as holidays or sick. Going to hospital this morning. Then run around to try and get some stuff for parent. I hope to grab an hour or two and eat with my brother alone as I rarely see him as he lives abroad. We chatted briefly when he arrived after midnight. Existing on 4-5 hours sleep.
Refilled the bird feeders at parents' house yesterday. I introduced them to a bird id app recently and they have loved it, especially because it also helps identify bird calls. I've bought them some prefilled bird hangers too. I've also helped with furniture moving.
Hope to set off home say mid afternoon. Just hope cat got over his runs and I don't arrive home to more mess! Need to get him vaccinated so can put in a cattery if needed or see if I can get a pet sitter.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
