Good that all siblings got there in time but so hard on your 4 to 5 hours sleep is no good please look after yourself. My dad is getting really weak and I know I will face this kind of thing one day and I have seen friends go through it as well. Thinking of you and please be kind to yourself work is not important right now.

Hope parent makes it home, it will be a much kinder, calmer death at home than in hospital, with everyone else’s dramas happening all around.

Sounds like the time with your brother could be good. Sending hugs and hoping you get a bit more sleep tonight!

Thanks all. Managed to get parent home. Hospital lost their hearing aids!!! Returned by ambulance.  They are thrilled to be home.

I went to hospital this morning and advocated for them. When brother and other parent arrived I went shopping for soft nightwear that is easy to take on and off and some food.

I cooked a meal with help of prepared veg and microwave slow roasted meat. Also bought some strawberry tarts.

Took second adhd med [I am allowed] and drove home. Where i spent 90 minutes cleaning up after the cat 🐈 who failed to use his liter tray once!!! And was recovering from the runs. Such a joy (not).  I also had to unblock the hoover as things kept getting stuck.... Will see if can book cat vaccination tomorrow.  I still need to book cattery or sitter for when I am away later in the month plus parking...

I'm working tomorrow but likely to be given grace.  Will return to parents Monday latest. All feels surreal, that quiet calm in the eye of the storm but aware of life's detritus whirling in a maelstrom around you...

My alliums and delphiniums are flowering. Apples and fruit bushes coming along. Garden has exploded so need to weed and water.

Thinking of you... please take care, you're probably running on adrenaline at the moment and the after effects will hit all at once.  (((hugs))) XXXX

I think Chrystal is absolutely spot on. Be kind to yourself if you can.

So glad parent is home and aware that they are. That will help a lot.

So sorry cat is sick at the same time as all this. I’m not surprised it all feels a bit surreal ….

    Sending huge hugs x
